Prologue

The night had come. In the vast plains of death, danger was never very far. Dire wolves, bandits, or even insects were commonplace. However, there was no denying the stars from the clear sky possessed some kind of inherent beauty to them, a contrast to the filth from Earth.

"Is that Ourin?" Leylin raised his head and spoke aloud

In front of him, Ourin stood. The young lad had fiery dark red coloured hair, and there were ripped muscles all over his body. His arms were as thick as Leylin's thighs. He currently had his arms crossed in front of his chest, yet there did not seem to be any scorn in his eyes. Instead, there was a clear resolution to kill.

Besides the two of them, no one could be seen. Be it the level 3 acolytes who managed the convoy of apprentices or the black-robed knights who protected the caravans, none ventured so far away from the rest of the group. As for the regular to-be-apprentices of arcane arts, they were far too worried about the dangers that the wildnerness offered.

"A.I. Chip, scan their statistics!", Leylin said aloud, but Ourin's sigh came in as if he expected such a reaction.

[Scan Complete! Ourin | Strength: 2.2 Agility: 1.7, Vitality: 2.0, Status: Healthy]

The A.I. Chip feedbacked.

Looking at the data in front of his eyes, Leylin's eyes widened. These stats were on par with his friends George, who came from a Count's family. However, just as he looked at the data, Ourin charged forward, not daring to let the opportunity go to waste.

*CLANG*

The sounds of swords clashing reverberated in the forest. The first strike took Leylin by surprise. Although he possessed a biochip, it did not control his body and he had to make the decision. Even if the biochip basically told him the best course of action, the fact that he was human remained. Even with the best advice coursing his brain, he would still make mistakes due to lack of experience.

His opponent was different. As the attacker, he possessed the initiative.

*SPLASH*

Although Leylin managed to block the first strike, he never expected Ourin to take out a knife after the first clash and stab him in the ribs. Overtaken by pain, Leylin dropped his guard. This was a fatal mistake in a duel. Ourin was quick to catch this opportunity and thrust his sword forward with all of his strength, the tip of his cross sword going through his opponent's chest. There was no doubt about it, he had successfully pierced Leylin's heart.

"You..." Leylin's eyes were filled with disbelief, "I trained so much...I even possess the biochip...how? If it was the previous matter regarding Bessita, haven't I already apologised before? Bessita has also forgiven me..."

However, no treatment to his injuries was provided, as Ourin watched Leylin deplete himself of his blood slowly.

As if he wanted to give him peace, Ourin whispered: "It has nothing to do with Bessita...Return from where you come from, Fang Ming"

Leylin's eyes widened, but the revelation did not improve his condition as his eyes closed.

Leylin, the main protagonist from the Warlock of the Magus World, had died. Ourin Ironguard, a meaningless antagonist, somehow triumphed.
