5 Devil

Issei woke up the next day feeling refreshed. He performed his daily morning routine and soon arrived at the school.

Entering the classroom, he saw Murayama and Katase waving at him, to which he waved back. He took a seat as the rest of the girls squealed and chattered about their "Quiet Prince".

He had tried to put up a positive reputation, but it seems that it had been too effective. Then again, if it was him against the Perverted Duo, he could understand why.

Class started and soon everyone was inside their study books. Issei put up the act of a being diligent student, even though he knew everything already. What his mind was really focusing on was something else.

As it right on cue, a handsome young man with short blond hair, blue eyes and a mole underneath his left eye entered the room, setting of screams from every girl in the class.

He wore the Academy boys' school uniform, which consists of a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved dress shirt with a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and brown dress shoes.

This was Yuuto Kiba, the school 'Prince' and part of the Occult Research Club.

As he excused himself past the crowd of girls, he arrived in front of Issei's desk and greeted him.

"Hey, Issei! I'm here on an errand from Rias Gremory. Would you mind coming with me?" he asked gently, his smile sending the classroom back into screams.

"Sure, why not?" Issei replied and got up from his seat along with his bag. As they exited, all the girls in class went into hysterics.

"Yes! Issei is walking together with Kiba!"

"I'm definitely pairing Kiba together with Issei!"

Both Kiba and Issei looked at each other, and then began to walk even faster. They walked into the school yard as they made their way to the club room.

Issei was surprised by the Victorian style of the room, as Tojo Koneko continued eating her snacks in the dreary background.

But what really surprised him was the almost transparent shower curtain draping from the wall. The sound of running water could be heard, and the curtain barely did anything to hide the bodacious physique of the woman who was cleaning herself.

Issei almost wanted smack himself as he watched this stupid attempt at seduction. She wasn't even hiding what she was trying to do at this point.

A beautiful young woman with a voluptuous figure, very long black hair and violet eyes emerged from near the shower curtain. Her hair was tied in a long ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backward, with an orange ribbon keeping it in place.

Like most of the girls at Academy, she wore the customary Academy girls' school uniform, along with black calf-length socks.

She walked up to Issei with a friendly smile and bowed.

"You're the new prospect club member, right? Pleased to meet you. I'm the vice president, Himejima Akeno. I am pleased to make your acquaintance. " The woman, now Akeno, introduced herself as she let out a charming giggle.

"Hyoudou Issei. The pleasure is all mine" he greeted back, as he bowed down and gave her a subtle wink.

This seemed to amuse her, as she began to giggle even more. At that moment, Rias Gremory emerged from the curtain, wiping her wet hair with a towel.

"Sorry it took so long. I haven't washed up inside that shower for a while." Rias said, apologizing when she didn't look that sorry at all.

"No, don't worry about it!" Issei stammered out, trying to make himself look flustered.

Rias smiled, looking around herself to see if anyone was missing and spoke

"Okay, all of us are here now. We welcome you to the Occult Research Club" she said with a welcoming tone, as she led Issei onto his seat on the couch.

"But the Occult Research Club is just a front, sort of a hobby of mine."

Issei put on a confused look on his face, as he questioned her.

"Oh, what do you mean?"

Rias merely smiled mysteriously and responded with

"I'll come right to the point. We are devils."

Issei pretended to laugh, as if she had said a joke, despite the fact that no one else was laughing at him.

"Oh, you're actually serious, aren't you?" Issei said, as Rias looked at him with an amused expression.

"Yes, I am Issei."

A pair of pitch-black wings appeared on her back, as Issei purposefully jumped out of his in surprise.

"Issei, I want you to become my servant, and be reborn as a member of the House of Rias Gremory, daughter of the Duke of Gremory, a high-class devil." Rias said solemnly.

"Of course, there are benefits to coming under my rule. I can turn you into a devil, which would increase your life span and give you powerful magic. If money is what you are after, then I can provide that as well. So, what do you say Issei, will you join my peerage?"

Issei put on a hesitant look on his face, before asking

"How will you turn me into a devil? Can I see how it is done?"

Rias beamed as she realized he hadn't rejected her offer and took out a chess board with 15 pieces.

"The Evil Pieces, also known as the Devil's Pieces, are a set of 15 chess pieces given to High-class Devils to increase their ranks by reincarnating other beings into Devils. This is what I'll use to reincarnate you. Here, see for yourself!"

Issei grabbed each of the pieces, before setting it down on the table. He looked at Rias with a conflicted expression on his face.

"Can, I get some time to decide?"

Rias nodded with an approving look

"Of course, you have time to decide Issei. I would be disappointed if my prospective peerage member made such an important decision on a whim."

Issei didn't really believe that. It was obvious they knew about his Sacred Gear, otherwise, they wouldn't have been inviting him.

Not to mention that Kiba had been following him for the entire school year, and his A.I. chip had sensed her unique energy field, or Demonic Power, while he was walking away the park the day before.

Issei left the school with heavy steps, pretending to be in deep thought. In actuality, he was waiting for a certain A.I. chip.

Issei gave a look of disappointment, but he wasn't that surprised. The Evil Piece analyzation was just at ten percent, and he just had to wait until it was completed.

To be honest, Issei planned on becoming a devil the moment he gained information about the three factions, as it it gave him the most benefits. The church was not an option, as it was highly corrupt, and Issei wasn't exactly a moral person.

The Fallen Angels were an option, but he couldn't join the inner strata as a human and his future opponent, Vali Lucifer, was already part of their faction.

Rias is not only related to one of the Four Satans, but her brother, Sirzechs Lucifer was also known as a competent leader and even stronger than his previous predecessors.

Issei could even form his own peerage in the future once he grew strong enough. All he needed to do was give up his freedom for a time being.

But Issei valued his freedom too much to give it up, and if he could hunt two rabbits at once, why not?
