3 Getting a Grip

Zeta was confused to see a comic book character in front of him. However, despite being surprised, he didn't loosen his grip on her or the knife.

A pissed and scared expression could be seen on her face.

It took Zeta a couple of seconds to come up with an approach. If Felicia Hardy was in front of him, and he was in NYC, he was most likely in the MCU. The reason he assumed this is because NYC is the hotspot for superheroes in the MCU.

Of course, this means powers are real. Zeta isn't a space marine yet, so he can't guarantee his own safety yet. This means he'd have to create some way to explain himself to the superpowered people he'd eventually cross paths with.

After taking everything into account, he came up with a story.

"What planet am I on?" Zeta asked. Obviously, his question confused the woman he was threatening.

She took a second to inspect the man in front of her and found that despite his clothes being similar to those who partook in the second world war, she couldn't recognize the symbols on his clothing and his stance was that of a war veteran. Anyway, who was in the second world war should be old, dead or Captain America.

"Earth." She replied through gritted teeth.

"...I see." He retracted the knife from her throat and let his guard down. Felicia wasn't stupid enough to try and attack the stranger again, but she was absolutely ready to run away when she got the chance.

"Where on Earth am I? What year is it?" He asked her.

"New York City, 2014." She answered, still on guard.

'It should only be a while after the first Avenger's movie and Iron Man 3. Although I don't know if this is before or after the Avenger's collapse.' He thought to himself.

"...Thank you for the help. May I ask why you attacked me all of a sudden?" Zeta asked.

"You're in my apartment!" She shouted.

"I apologize. I woke up on the roof and entered the first unlocked door in order to inspect myself for injuries." He lied.

"Hurry up and leave then." She rudely spoke.

"I haven't repaid the favor yet." He retorted.

"Give me something from your home planet, then." Felicia spoke. She might not like him, but she has the chance of getting something from an alien!

"...are you sure? We haven't even exchanged names." Zeta argued.

"Haaaa..." She sighed. "I'm Felicia." She told the truth. She really wanted whatever he was giving and if he had some truth-identifying technology would squash her chances.

"My name is Zeta Zabul. Nice to meet you." He spoke. Felicia could tell he smiled by his tone despite not being able to see his face because of the gas mask.

"...well. Are you gonna give me it?" She asked.

"Ah, yes, of course." Zeta smiled and checked the shop.

Laspistol – Free

Overall Description:

The weak firepower of the Lasgun is only rivalled by the weak wielders of the weapon. Hardly useful, only equipped on the most disposal of units. Could be used as a party tool.]

Zeta almost laughed at the description. He tapped on 'Laspistol'. Felicia was questioning the alien's intelligence; it was tapping mid-air on nothing. However, before she could ask anything, a futuristic pistol appeared in his hand.

Felicia almost kicked the weapon out of his hands when Zeta held the barrel and handed it to her.

"It comes with an energy pack. If it runs out of ammo, throw the energy pack on fire. It'll recharge using the temperature." He smiled. He also secretly tapped multiple times behind him, buying a large quantity of Laspistols for free.

"Woah. Cool." She inspected the weapon, ignoring the alien in the bathroom.

"When shall we get married?" Zeta asked with a smile.

"Yeah, do it tomorr- What?" Felicia's eyes shot from the pistol to Zeta.

"I gave you something. That means we're getting married, no?" He looked confused.

"NO! What kind of world do you live in?" She flinched.

"If you share precious resources with somebody else, is that not a romantic gesture?" He asked. Zeta felt proud of himself, he was absolutely nailing the Death Korps of Krieg style of thinking. He didn't know about how marriage worked in Warhammer, but in a shitty world, small gestures surely go a long way.

"...I feel kinda bad for you." She spoke. "But anyway, that's not how it works in this planet. Resources are not limited here, so marriage doesn't work like that." She dismissed it.

"Resources are always limited. One planet can only sustain one dominant race for so long." Zeta spoke. Felicia was playing with her new toy so she didn't reply.

"Where do I go? Is there an extra-terrestrial communications center on this planet?" He asked.

"No, we don't see aliens very often." She replied.

"How primitive. Have you even conquered other planets in the solar system?" Zeta asked.

"We went to the moon. But we haven't sent anyone to another planet ye-*PEW*" Her words were interrupted by her accidentally firing the Laspistol at her bedroom window. Despite the window being the only thing, the light hit, much of the wall was also destroyed.

"This planet is doomed." Zeta commented after seeing Felicia accidentally fire the weapon.

"WHAT KIND OF ABSURD FIREPOWER IS THAT?" She screamed after seeing some of her wall broken.

"...I agree it's quite absurd. My home planet has kitchen tools more dangerous." He shook his head.

"..." Felicia learnt to stop questioning the alien.

"Anyway, as the first person I've met on this planet, I would like you to provide me with rations and a residence." Zeta smiled.

"Didn't you just say that 'resources are always limited'? Just go sleep in the streets." She complained. It seems she was salty that she misfired the Laspistol.

"I believe you've shown that resources aren't too limited yet." He replied. "Provide me with a place to stay."

"Haaa." She once again sighed. "If you can fix that hole, I'll let you stay here for a couple of days." She spoke with a heavy heart. She didn't want to let the alien stay with her; she didn't trust him. But she needed that wall fixed before her landlord evicted her for destroyed property.

"A menial task. Although I'll only fix it the last day I'm here." He spoke. With his Skitarii Ranger form, he could fix it pretty easily. Every Adeptus Mechanicus was basically MacGyver after all. He just had to hope that transforming didn't take long.

"...sure. I'm going out for a bit, don't blow up the building." She no longer wanted to deal with him.

"Understood." He responded. She left, and he was left to his own devices.

He could now test his different forms.

To begin with, he tried to turn into a Necron Warrior. Being able to turn into a nigh-immortal being would have its benefits.

To his surprise, he just had to will it to happen. His vision blacked out for a second before he opened his eyes? And found his skin gone, replaced by a pure skeleton and mechanical parts.

He looked out the broken wall and saw that it didn't look any lighter or darker than before he transformed, meaning that it didn't take too much time to transform.

Lastly, he looked at the shop again. He looked at 'New Forms'.

All of this was very interesting, but something else caught his eye.

[God-Emperor of Mankind – Price: The System]

It was unbelievably difficult to not press the button. However, there were many different things he'd need the system for. If he just OP like that, he'd be able to one-shot Thanos and all that, but he wouldn't be able to summon troops and he'd have to do everything himself. Not to mention the fact that there would most likely be other forms on the same level, like Khorne or Gork.

He then looked at the [Misc] tab.
