War Of The Worlds

Note : Yo guys so these past two weeks I've been preparing myself for my June exams which is why I haven't posted much but I promise that once I'm done I'll release more frequently.

Chapter 07: Near death's doors

Glancing at the icy expression that hung on the girls face Silver got a bad feeling but he just couldn't find out what could happen it's not like they were both life and death enemies that she would want to kill him ,with this thought in mind he tried to calm his fast beating heart.

"This is my cave I don't mind sharing with you but for today only"

The girl glanced at him without changing her expression but the temperature began to suddenly drop with ice now surrounding the girl and her surroundings ,even the cave walls were beginning to be encompassed in a layer of ice. Seeing this Silver instantly knew that things had just gone South and this girl in from of him was unreasonable and would probably to kill him to keep the cave .

Out of everything there is only one thing that is confusing him it's that with this girls strength she could survive in the core area of the beast forest so why would she come to this part of the forest to cause trouble for a nobody like him ,well whatever her reason Silver prepared himself to fight her for the cave. He knew that she was much stronger than him but so what he rather die to the hands of another human than go out the cave.

"What am I thinking I can't die without revenge"

Returning to his senses the girl was already in front of him and sent out a palm strike at his chest which landed and he got pushed a five steps back ,right now Silver could feel the that he could spew out blood but he held it back and swallowed it back down his throat.

Knowing that this concerned his life he wanted to pull out his sword and fight her but the hand that was about to pull out the sword became frozen and soon the girl approached him again this than with her sword on hand she did not play around and slashed at Silver's head aiming to decapitate him then and there but sensing danger Silver jumped a few steps back and he finally managed to dispel the ice using void devour to suck away the essence maintaining it then pull out the bone sword from it's scabbard.

His two blades had become blunt so he had killed a grass boar and used it's straight tusk to forge a shabby looking bone sword, even if it was crudely made it still got the job done. Grass board are more timid that wild board and often eat grass which makes them different from wild bores who eat about anything that could sate their hunger.

Grass boar's tusk grew in a straight way different from wild boars which have their tusk grow in a curved manner ,the grass boar's tusk is good for rushing at the enemy and stabbing them which they use for self defense when they feel threatened since they were timid the grass boars easy feel threatened and are good at hiding which makes the task of finding them hard.

"This girl is crazy but so am I"

Silver rushed at the girl and he moved as if he was jumping from tree to tree making it hard for her to find out his movements ,in a matter of moments he had arrived in from of her and slashed at her neck but a ice shield blocked his bone sword and he could also feel that the bone sword began freezing upon contact with the shield so he quickly withdrew it but from a strange angle the girl's sword came and left a cut on his shoulder and blood spew from it quickly using his essence to suppress the bleeding he jumped back but his movements did not stop.

He knew that once he stopped that girl would freeze an essential part of his body which would put him in a dire situation more difficult to extract himself from. Moving with his fasted speed and strange movements he ran towards her once more this time with a crazed determination, when he reached five steps from her he jumped up using his right leg to land on the side of the wall and before it's momentum ran out using his right leg he launched himself from the side of the cave wall sending a right kick at the side of her head but again an ice shield appeared but as of anticipating this he used the momentum from the shield to slide to the her back.

Upon reaching her back he slashed at her using the bone sword and this time he had his the jackpot blood spew from her back but as if releasing an avalanche the wound got covered by ice and even the blood that was about to fall down instantly froze ,even the temperature began decreased even more drastically than before. Silver's whole body screamed danger at him and without wasting a breath he jumped back and landed two meters away from her. The cave is ten meters long so he could gave distance fast.

As soon as he landed the girl then around and her face showed pure rage as if a goddess being spit upon by a mortal which is beneath her ,a crystalline ice armor appeared and cover the girl's body. Seeing this Silver knew that she had been previously toying with but not she had gotten serious.

"You bitch"

Cursing at her in an inaudible tone he began to use he movements again to head to her but this time no matter how hard he hit when he reached her it would not leave a scratch on her armor and he is still not proficient enough with the sword to pierce at the gaps between her armor. Silver had long began to have raggard breathing and as if tired of her toy the girl moved and in a matter of a moment she was already in front of Silver slashing her sword and aiming her sword at his neck , without warning she's already in his range and it's a killing blow that she's delivering , quickly raising his bone sword he blocked her attack but her sword cut through the bone sword as if slicing through butter.

Lucky he had already removed his head from the equation but as if not wanting to waste time with him, she quickly turned around and stabbed at his heart, sidestepping Silver avoided death again but the sword turned and it got slashed at his abdomen and put it was to late to doge nor avoid it and he got cut blood spewing and evening part of his intestines showed from the large wound. Using his essence once more pushed back his intestines into his body and quickly used his essence to stop the bleeding and keep his wound together without it opening up again.

*Whoosh*

Another attack was coming and this is the time Silver could use to escape from this predicament since the girl is close to him he used void devour and her life essence quickly left her body at a fast pace but she is a professionalist so the amount of essence she has is more than what Silver can absorb while he is at advanced elemental realm he must reach peak elemental realm first but her disappearing life essence shocked the girl along with the black dog that appeared but this is the window of opportunity Silver was waiting for.

*Bang*

He threw a stone a her to confuse he since she couldn't see with the black gas obstructing her vision and using this he bypassed the girl and dashed to the cave entrance and as soon as he was three meters away from the girl he deactivated his ability since it was useless to keep it on since it is only usable to a target at three meters only. He did not use it before because the opportunity never showed itself whole also he knew that he had limited world essence to use which is less than the girl he can't use it in a prolonged battle with her. As soon as he reached the cave entrance he turned around to look at the girl.

"Bitch you'll pay for this one day"

Leaving this words behind he rushed out the cave grabbed a few of the Blue grasses near the cave which could repel beast and while running he rubbed them on his face and arms.
