Chapter 11 World Building / part 4

Am I on a super earth planet somewhere on another galaxy? The size of the continents in this map is super huge! The northern part of this world map is called the Dark Realm, it's also called the Never day by another world map that my scout purchased from another Elven city. The southern part is called the Never Nights or Blasted Lands ruled by the Sun Realm. I found out that the place where I was summoned is on the plateau of Mount Balon which is located at the northern eastern part of the Elven Realm which is near the Rapid Sea. One of my Spies is aboard a merchant ship crossing the sea to the Untamed Realm. We are bound to a town south of the first outpost of the Gallan Wall.

I shifted my sight and focused on on my other self aboard the merchant ship Swifter. I looked around me and saw several Elves on the deck. On my left is a group of Elven Knights who I learned were on their way to the first outpost as reinforcement. I've learned that the Orcs are active during this dry season and they are relentless in laying siege on the first outpost. I shifted my focus back to my fifteen percent body, to search for another map that I bought.

Boy! I need to name my Avatars properly or I'll keep confusing my self. But I can't come up for any appropriate name that I like except the names I used for my other characters when I play online games. Of course Dark Lord is the main name that I use but sometimes I also use other names in disguise. There are times my opponents automatically backed out from fighting me just by learning that I'm the Dark Lord. That is why sometimes I use other sudo names like: DragonReborN, KnightWatch, DarthYoda, Aymagona, Wolfbrother, Count Dresden. Jeffrey Archer, Sun Tzu, and the names goes on.. Ah! the good old days.

I guess I can use Darth Yoda? or Sun Tzu? Funny thing is I used Merlin of House Sylvestrus to board the ship and everyone who heard it looked at me incredulously. Apparently they knew the name. The boarding Master who took the list of passengers sarcastically told me that if I'm going to use a sudo name, I better not use the great Human Wizard's name and House since I'm an Elf. I just shrugged and hurriedly boarded the ship without looking back.

Ah here it is, the Map of the Gallan Wall. The great wall Fortress that stretched for many miles starting from the side of the Rapid Sea to the Rosun Mountains in the far east of the Untamed Realm. No wonder the Orcs are doing their best to destroy the first outpost of the Gallan Wall. It is the main supply route to all the succeeding fortress located half a mile apart from one another. The Map says that the Gallan Wall was made by the MagalaNs during the Age of Legends to stop the Demon Horde coming from the Dark Realm.

It says Demon Horde. I think I'll have to talk about this with the Princess on our next meeting.

"So Merlin of House Sylvestrus, Are you also traveling to the Untamed Realm to join our fight with the Orcs?" I heard someone said to my right side.

I turned my focus to my Merlin Avatar and turned to see a tall Elf clad in Elven armour standing next to me.

"Is this the first time you're sailing the Rapid Sea?" The Elf asked further looking at the vast sea infront of us.

I'm still in my battle clad armour but I have changed my face into an Elf. "How did you know that Commander?" He is one of those who heard me declare my sudo name to the boarding master.

He laughed when I addressed him as a Commander taking it as a compliment. He is wearing a different insignia in his breastplate, that's how I assumed he is an officer.

"I'm Captain Ellis of the Elven reserved Army. You've been standing here for a long time now looking at the sea, like you've never seen it before." He smiled to me like a Father.

"Pleasure to meet you Captain. Yes this is my first time out here." I looked back at the vast sea which is flowing south in a very fast and strong current, like there is a waterfall at the end of it. Is there?

"Fascinating is it? Legend said that Aladrim the great made this to stop the Horde from crossing the sea, or at least delay them enough for the alliance to gather their forces."

The Horde again. The Princess and I will have a really long conversation about this.

"I've never seen an armour like that before." The Captain is carefully examining my armour.

"I've designed it and made it myself." I replied.

"So you are heading to the fortress then? It will be a great opportunity for you to test your armour and we need fighters." He looked at me like someone desperate to hire warriors to their cause.

"It will be an honour to join your ranks Captain. But I have to warn you I'm not a strong warrior." I said warily since Merlin is just one percent of my strength.

He laughed again and patted me on the shoulder like a Father. "Your contribution no matter how small will be part of a ripple that soon will become a tide." He said to me with fires of courage in his voice. "Come let me introduce you to the rest of our team".
