Chapter 8: Sex grants power

As the two slept soundly, the forces of the world started moving. In hell every high ranking devil was ordered to search their territory for whatever caused such a shocking display of power.

The fallen angels also started looking for the culprit, the angels outwardly showed no movements but churches around the world dispatched all available manpower. A certain loli dragon on the other hand was too busy trying to figure out a way to kick a certain red dragon from the dimensional gap so she could regain her silence. Although she also felt the power that was displayed she didn't bother herself since she had no idea where the power originated. The same went for great red. The colossal dragon found doing the loopty loop and annoying Orphis to be more engaging.

As morning came, Kuroka woke up to feel a soft sensation on her back, her eyes fully opened as the disturbing dream she had last night was still vividly present in her mind. She looked up to see a strange sight.

A girl who looked a little over 12 years was petting her head with a soft smile, she had dark skin and white long hair. Her golden eyes shone with relief and a little nervousness as she looked at the nekomata who stared into her eyes.

''Hey.'' The girl spoke with a nervous smile.

''Hey, so I'm guessing last night wasn't a dream.'' Kuroka asked with a bit of hope and some despair in her voice.

'"No,I'm so sorry for troubling you.'' The girl said sincerely and shamefully.

Seeing such a downcast look, Kuroka's heart ached. She raised her hand and started caressing the girl's cheek.

''Don't worry, I'm sure you wouldn't purposely hurt me.'' Kuroka said with a smile, she didn't fully believe that since Kurokiba was a huge unknown and last night was proof of how big of a threat she could be. Still, she didn't have it in her to straight up abandon or dispose of the girl.

Tears left Kurokiba's eyes as she cried out and approached Kuroka while apologizing over and over again. Kuroka fought against every fibre of her being and didn't push away the little girl out of fear, as the girl's tiny frame shivered in her arms, Kuroka sighed sadly as the fear slowly left her mind.

Kuroka finally managed to convince the girl to stop crying, she looked at the girl who now wore a kimono a few sizes smaller than her, it was torn at the back, and Kuroka could wager a guess and say it was the work of her strange tails.

''How are you feeling?'' Kuroka asked after she inspected the girl for any visible injuries.

''I-I'm fine, in fact I feel better than I've ever been.'' Kurokiba replied trying to be as positive as possible.

''That's great then, we have to leave this place as soon as possible, I don't doubt for a second that the flashy show you put on got alot of people looking for you.'' Kuroka said hurriedly.

''Why? What happened last night? All I can really remember is having an amazing meal and then the rest is just a blur.'' Kurokiba asked since she had a gap in her memory.

''You practically ate three whole adult humans and then awakened some sort of power that produced enough pressure to make me pass out due to my senses overloading.'' Kuroka summarized.

Kurokiba blushed in shame as she remembered how she acted the night before, such a vulgar display surely wasn't pleasant to witness.

''Thank-you very much, w-without you I would've been bedridden and probably dead I'm sorry for causing so much trouble after promising to be helpful.'' Kurokiba said with a downcast tone.

''Don't sweat it, I also wanted to help you so it's not your fault .'' Kuroka said reassuringly.

''How can I not blame myself? We've barely known each other yet you treat me so kindly even after I've done nothing but bring chaos in your life, how can you be so patient with me? 'Kurokiba asked, she was confused as to why Kuroka trusted her so much.

''I- I don't know, to be honest I don't know if I trust you, but something about you reminds me of someone very dear to me, she was just as tiny and clueless as you. Honestly she was a bundle of joy before those monsters ruined her, I- I've done some things I'm not proud of to protect her but it was necessary..'' Kuroka said in anger and determination.

"I'm so sorry for everything happening to you, you're such an amazing person and don't deserve any of this." Kurokiba said softly.

"Let's not dwell on it too much, I'd rather hear about your new powers, see if they can help us in anyway.'' Kuroka changed the subject.

Kurokiba closed her eyes in thought, information about her power started coming to her head. She found herself in an empty void, nothing as far as the eye could see. She floated around with so much ease one would wager this was not her first time her, but it really was!

Her ability was simply known as the V-virus originator. The power works by the host infecting and activating a special virus that infect those around her, this gives those who are infected the privilege to activate a special gene that turns them into either liberator or Extars. Extars turn into weapons while liberators are people who wield the weapons that Extars turn into. The ability was limited to only females.

As the originator of the virus Kurokiba can choose whether a person is a Liberator or an Extar. She herself holds the power to turn into both a Liberator and an Extar this is known as the VR-virus, it is special only to her in this world. She could also potentially edit the virus to suit her needs. Although that came with its own set of risks. The most prominent being the total destruction of the soul of anyone infected with a faulty virus.

The V-virus also lets the Liberator choose which form the Extar will take as a weapon, but once chosen, the weapon cannot be changed to another form every time they enter the drive state. The only exception to this rule is Kurokiba.

The drive state simply refers to when the Liberator and an Extar enter a form of synchronization whereby the Extar will change into her weapon form, this drive state can be achieved by either the Liberator or the Extar having complete trust in one another, or when the Extar is aroused for some reason.
