Reminiscent

In her previous life, she had always considered Angel as her soul mate, her Savior and only family member after Nora died from abortion.

Angel was her only refuge when Stella abused her and Nora was no where to defend her, she got even more attached to Angel because she had once saved her from drowning.

It happened barely a few weeks towards her tenth birthday, on the day of her dispute with Nora over her going to study at the capital city. In a fit of anger she ran all the way out of the house, rushing towards the direction where her feet had led her.

Without looking back or a head of her because of her teary eyes, but her eyes weren't too blurry for her to miss a step or two over the bridge. Nor were her senses covered with mud to cause her to fall over the well built bridge of her country home.

She only needed a quiet place to cry out to her hearts contempt and leave her sobbing voice to be heard by the slowly flowing rivers in front of her. And barely watch her disheveled expression down the slowly flowing rivers over the tall bridge. On that quiet afternoon her sobbing accompanied the water sound above her, but it slowly relieved her.

The sound of water flowing had always been her best song to relax or a type of confort to her empty heart. So only by standing over the bridge for few hours, her eyes was getting clearer, but she had suddenly slipped and fell. She had always felt that a hand had pushed her on that day, but when she was struggling her way out, there was no figure around.

It was in the afternoon and no one walked by the bridge by that time, so she knew she was doomed to die. She struggled and kept hitting the deep waters to find he way out, crying out for help until enough water had filled her throat and silenced her.

After being taken by exhaustion she ended up giving up and let herself drown deeper until she was unable to distinct between life and death. The next moment she had opened her eyes, Angel was sitting with her by the river banks and her dress was drenched with water. Her black silky hair was barely getting dry, but anyone who saw her shivering from the cold in a drenched dress wouldn't need to probe further.

"You're finally awake, you scared the hell out of me."

Angel had an innocent smile that captured her heart from that moment, though she had been wet as well, she was still very attractive. She had a worried look on her face while she looked bat her lying on the ground with barely enough strength to speak.

"You saved me?", Auriane found herself asking, though the answerlooked obvious.Angel simply smiled before giving her reply, but she never liked neither did she say the truth.

"You would have died if you weren't saved."

She never admitted saving, probably because she wasn't sure if the truth would be hidden forever. So one could see how meticulous Angel, it was a pity she had never understood the meaning bey her words.

Of course she believed from that day that Angel had saved her, so she became her saviour. She felt indebted to her and disdained Nora for never coming when she had almost drown to death, but the truth was even bitter than she thought.

From the day of her rescue till the day she achieved success, Angel had always supported her, helping her to reach to peak of her career even if she never went to the university because she had sacrificed for her.

That sort of sacrifice, she certainly would never forget it, because instead of Angel, she was penalized and banned from taking the university entrance exam for five years. Consequently she worked  hard on her natural talents in pharmacology until she had reached the peak of her career.

Compared to her, Angel went to the best pharmacological university thanks to her help, she was even able to receive several awards, several awards that should have been hers. But no one ever knew who was behind the excellent Angel White and her success.

So what if she was popular in the world pharmacology with her talents, Angel was still able to snatch her success from her. She framed her of using humans for experiments, but she never stood out to make the accusations. She simply had to play her usual part of the innocent victim and everyone would pitty the hardworking girl, associating her life's experiments and success to her. While she was the one who acted as shadow and plagiarized her work.

She did so much for Angel, sacrificing to the point of giving up on her own future, giving up on her life, yet she was treated as a beast and locked up in the basement by her sister. She always wanted to ask her if she ever felt any sisterly love towards her.

' Had she just gotten jealous and wary over time due to her skyrocketing success? '

Auriane had once asked Angel that question when she came to visit her pitiful state in the basement, however, the answer she had received crushed her heart into pieces. Leaving no single part in view of later parchment.

' Heh, how naive to think that you could be my sister, do you even deserve it. I've always hated you to the core, but I had to admit that you were quite talented and intelligent. I found it more useful to have a full control of you, at least it was better than expecting a later enemy of you. '

Auriane's heart had also from that moment and her throat got dry when Angel spoke without remorse or even a little bit of hesitation. The one she considered a goddess was actually a demon that had for ambition to drain her energy.

She had never been on her side

' I also did think of killing you, but blame it on your stupid luck, you survived at each of my attempt, so I used a back up plan. Why not make you rise higher, in that case you would be hurt more when falling. Making you an outstanding person under my shadow had been a piece of cake and causing your down fall was my best victory.'

Tears had strreamed down her cheek when she watched Angel leave her with a mocking. She felt like suffocating, but she didn't die and the fact that she had such a luck caused her more pain. She became an experimental subject were drugs would be tasted on her to test it's effectively.

At times the drugs stabbed her with tremendous pain or its side effects would cause her to be paralyzed and mute. She travelled towards a lot of human abnormalities, yet her so called good luck kept her alive for two years, until she was able to escape from the basement.

She couldn't tell how she made her way abroad, but she escaped Angel's torture, but not her years of haunting, until the day she was caught back. That same day marked the start of her reborn, right after the explosion she had caused, she was reborn back to when she was still thirteen.

All the painful incidents had yet to take place, nothing had changed, but Auriane White had changed.
