Surveying The Augary Kingdom

Sitting on the pilot's seat was a girl, brown-haired little girl. Laura was guiding the ship to the kingdom of their destination. A ruined kingdom that was ruined by her.

"Ma'am, could you give me the ETA?" Laura asked as she moved the stick of the thruster of the spaceship.

"ETA, a minute until arriving at the border," She said.

"Ok, thank you, ma'am," Laura replied to her.

Their destination was the Augary kingdom, a kingdom ransacked by civil war and a nest for warmongers and mercenaries. It used to be a peaceful kingdom until Laura sparked a civil war between the nobilities.

Laura was an excellent saboteur, she planted multiple evidence that triggered a civil war between all of the nobilities. She had multiple identities and personas there, she could be a maid, a secretary, a mage, or an accountant. She tried triggering the civil war and she successfully did it.

She manipulated the young nobilities' insecurities to trigger a civil war. The execution was exceptionally good too, she manipulated them to believe that another royalty attacks their land or another royalty steal their fiancee or cheating with their wives. The bottom line was, it worked very well. Now, it just becomes a barren land full of criminals and other misfortunes.

"Arriving shortly ma'am," Clarisse said.

The door behind her opened, it was Rosa and Gerald who was just finished taking their nap. "Good afternoon, sir, ma'am."

"Afternoon sweetheart. How are you doing?" Gerald asked.

"Great, how about both of you? Both of you were sleeping soundly with your mouths opened. Gerald was laying on your shoulder and vice versa. It was so wholesome, I didn't dare to wake both of you up," Laura said.

Both of them looked at each other, they were blushed before looking at Laura with a hostile intention. "You shouldn't say that aloud," Rosa said.

"Yes, I know that," Laura said.

They arrived at the border region which was very mountainous. It was full of snowy mountains. There were several forests in the region, but most of them were covered in thin snow.

"Well, it's going to take a while for the ship to scan the area. Are we going to take a walk?" Gerald asked them.

"Walk to the palace? Are you serious? It's going to take days," Rosa said.

"No, we will use a small fighter ship. I will pilot the ship. You can bring yours if you want to," Gerald said to Laura.

"Yay."

Laura set the ship to autopilot itself to the palace while she and Rosa went to their room to wear the combat uniform. It was a must to wear that on a fighter spaceship. They went down on an elevator to the hangar and approached their fighter ship.

CF-69 VTOL, a black forward-swept fighter ship which was weaponized with two megawatts laser cannons. Its pylon was equipped with 12 fusion warhead missiles. It was one of the small fighter ships that a carrier like a Battlecruiser would bring. It was Laura's choice to take that ship. She could fly it.

"Be safe ok. Don't crash, keep your speed around the speed of sound," Gerald said to her as she entered the cockpit and the fighter turned on. The entrance to the outside of the ship opened and revealed the blue sky. The fighter jet turned on its thruster and left the battlecruiser.

Whoosh, the blast of the jet hit their faces. The fighter jet that they're going to use was a double-seated fighter jet. It was a multirole aircraft with a three megawatts laser cannon and was loaded with 16 fusion warhead missiles. The name was MF-150E "Space eagle."

"Let's go, get in, climb the stairs!" He said to Rosa.

Rosa was still feeling uncomfortable with her new combat uniform. Maybe because of the amount of tech that it had and the fact that she hasn't worn it, unlike Laura who was quite adaptable to new technology. It's kinda like teaching a grandma on how to install the application on her phone, a bit pain in the ass.

"What is this suit? At first glance, it seemed to be heavy, but after wearing it, it isn't," Rosa said as she climbed the stairs and entered the cockpit.

"Well, not really, " he said as the canopy closed and the electrical system on the fighter ship turned on.

"Here we go, " he pushed the thruster of the fighter jet and it launched to the sky.

"Check speed. 2000km/h, intercepting Bravo 2."

For Gerald, flying with a huge speed was an ordinary thing, but for Rosa, it was something new for her. She was ecstatic. They could see the blue skies in that plane also with the view of the Augary kingdom.

Bravo 1: "Bravo 1 requesting Bravo 2 to be the flight lead."

Bravo 2: "Copy that."

Laura with her jet led the way with the speed of sound. They lowered their altitude to get a better view of the kingdom.

"Is it always snowy in here?" Gerald commented on the snow that covered almost everything.

"Not every time, but most of the time. It is located very close to the pole," Laura said.

The terrain on the kingdom was quite variable, ranging from mountainous terrain to flat terrain. There were several villages on the kingdom that was located very far away from each other.

Bravo 1: "How many villages are there in this kingdom?"

Bravo 2: "Around 200 according to the census and 100 towns are scattered across the entire Augary."

Bravo 1: "Take us to the town then."

Bravo 2: "Copy that."

Laura flew to the direction 0-4-5 and the only thing that they could saw was a tall flame that was burning a circular area. That area was surrounded by a wall and there were several encampments scattered across that area.

Bravo 2: "That's the product of the civil war. That is the town of Guarabury, it was the central trade center for the Augary, but it has been ransacked in a war between the two factions."

They flew away from that town and snow started to fall from the skies. It was unreal, it was too beautiful. Gerald hadn't seen snow in his entire life.

"Woah," he said as snow fell to the glass canopy of the fighter jets.

"What's with the woah? You haven't seen snow before?" Rosa asked.

"Yes," he said.

"Oh, I see. The Augary kingdom used to be famous. Now, it's just another barren wasteland because of the civil war between the Radicals and the Conservatives," Rosa said.

"Is that so?" Gerald asked.

"Yup, it started when I sent Laura to divide this Kingdom due to the threats that it possesses. She was a genius. Though, here we are, coming back to restore it," Rosa said.

They noticed in the ground below, the forest was actually very likely, there were several structures, and light could be seen from that forest. There must be some sign of civilization around there.

"Elf, orc, fairy, ogre, you name it. They live in the forest. They are independent and unlikely to make contact with the human. The human who approaches them usually traders," Rosa said.

"Why there are so many forests in this region?"

Bravo 2: "This is the east region, it consists of thick taiga. You can find beastkin, orc, elf, fairies, unicorn, etc. It also the most peaceful place around."

Bravo 1: "Thank you, Laura."

They continued to fly to the central region, where the palace was most likely to be located. In the central region was also the most developed place, you could see roads and the sign of civilization. Though, the view was disturbed by several guard checkpoints across the entire region.

"Central region. My father used to take me here for sightseeing and military training along with his troops. Ah, the good old days when he was alive," Rosa said.

"Ok?" Gerald said.

"You know, the soup here is good. One thing that Augary can do and that is making a good soup," Rosa said.

Bravo 2: "This is the largest region. The central region, the place where everyone ranging from forest creatures to demon lives. And it also the most damaged region from the civil war, you can see cities burning on your right and on your left."

"The place where a demon can live beside a human, Augary kingdom. It was also the main reason why I decided to exterminate it. It will be a threat if the demon forged an alliance with them," Rosa said.

"So... You come here to restore your sins?" Gerald asked.

"Yes, more or less I think. We can do it right?" Rosa said.

"If you're putting your common sense in front of your pride. I think we can do it," he said in reference to her previous action.

She grumbled, Gerald replied with a smile. They flew across the central region and proceeded to the western region. The western region was the sea, a really watery region. There was also a port there. Although, the port was controlled by the radicals. There were several small ships in that port, but most of them were not that full and there were checkpoints scattered around the port.

"The civil war rose from a coup, but the power gap eventually divided both of them. Then we have it, the radicals and the Conservatives. Both are shit, and the Ailenborough diminished this Kingdom's threat successfully," Rosa commented on her last action.

Bravo 2: "When the citizen hates the king, it's easy to establish a coup. Prince Augustus was a puppet of the Conservatives, I don't know whether he is dead or not."

"I see that. Well, let's go to the northern region."

They flew to the northern region, it was a very flat snowy area. There was nothing in there. Just a very thick snow land with some houses. It was very inhabited.

"Northern region. Nobody occupates this region because it is too cold. Some of the beastkin that could tolerate heat like Wolf, and white bear lives here. This is a very dangerous place due to the very very very cold weather," Rosa said.

Bravo 2: "During my time here, I never visit this region. This is known as the fucking cold lands, no one will enter this place."

"So this country only has sea access on the west and land access on the east? Damn, what a good location," Gerald said sarcastically.

"Yup, the mountain on the south is practically impenetrable," Rosa said.

"Let's return. Let's get to the palace shall we," Gerald said as both of them flew back to the central region.
