"Mat, Acki is the guild master. Right?" Smirf asking him over the dinner table, he nodded. "Why is Baby the one doin' em leader stuff?"

Mat took a glass of water. "Acki, has this 'Berserker's Blood' in the battlefield making him disregard most things, while Baby maybe weak but that weakness makes her think of ways to overcome it, using everything at hand."

Smirf spaced out.

Mat looks at her and said. "Baby is a better leader, you know how Acki is."

Proving Grounds: Forgotten Planet; Japan, Kyūshū - Kagoshima

The venerable medical helicopter manages to haul them for 8 hours before it caught fire and smoke started to come out, with Baby's flying skill they were able to crash land at the biggest landmass they could find.

Coughs, "Where are we?" Baby coughs again. "So, hard to breathe here... Oh!" Just beyond the horizon, she saw an island volcano, emitting black smoke and is covered by rivers of molten lava. Luci checks her map. "Kyūshū if I am not mistaken, nothing here that says about a volcano just names of the places. Kagoshima probably, if I need to give a specific answer."

"Ashfall — let's stay away from that volcano... and put some kind of mask on" Menan took a handkerchief and tied it around his face.

Coughing, Acki came close to Luci. "So where we headed next?" Luci pointed out on the map 'Fukuoka', she took a magnetic compass out of her pocket and check for directions.

"You really like that 'contraption' potty mouth gave you instead of using System's," Menan commented. Luci put back the compass. "I am also using the compass app. It is just potty mouth emphasize to use everything available and not rely on one."

Baby came close. "Well, simple enough we avoid the volcano. Head to Kumamoto then Fukuoka. So, where is Kumamoto?" Shiro tilted his head deep towards the city.

"Shiro, scout ahead don't go too far; formation around Luci."

"¡Listo!" Baby shouted as swarms of mutant came out of the ground to ambush them. Acki severed a brutes head then kick it towards the incoming swarm. Shiro running on rooftops signaled Baby. "Oh, fuck today..."

"Listen, we got nowhere to run to... kill anything that is not us till there is only us. Comprende?"

Everyone shouted. 'Fuck today!'

Acki released his 'Brenning', laughing as he burned the swarm down. Luci jumps up Nar'vash to get a better view of the battlefield then rained down pink. "Render — Grand Sword," Menan sweeping the rush on his side.

Slowly they are getting push back.

"Hold your positions!" Baby shouting. "Shiro takes one side we will box in Luci." Shiro immediately comes down from the rooftop, the group adjusted their formation from a triangular to a square one lessening the load on each side.

"Acki, Charger!" Luci shouting as she fired at huge mutant rushing towards their formation running down everything on its path. Acki thrust his sword killing everything in front of him then raised it overhead, his muscles rippled, his burning aura thickened. "Havbryter ( Ocean Breaker )," as he timed his swords descent with the Charger cutting it in half along with ground then burning the rest of it.

"Increíble," Baby astonish, Menan seeing it 'Looks more like brute force to me, not something I can easily copy. tsk.'

As it gets darker, the menacing glow from the volcano becomes brighter, eerily lighting up the city.

Luci above giving situational reports and giving fire support. She looked at Shiro which made a mark on the ground not letting a single enemy get pass it. Baby shouted at her. "Luci, Qué pasa?"

"Oh, nothing..." She looked around again, seems like there is no end in sight. "Baby... Acki and Shiro are doing fine, It seems to me you and Menan are reaching your limits, change of strategy?"

"Render — Grand Arrow!" Menan fired off his gauntlet. "I am doing just fine Luci, far from my limits." Trying to slow down his breathing. "I can take — over Baby's side if she needs to rest."

"Ooh... Shut up pendejo! I am fine! Muy Bien!"

Luci shook his head, then saw Acki gestured her to focus on assisting the two. Shiro's concentration is incorruptible, unmoving, and killing anything within reach; laughing ominously.

"Sage Art — Dual Ballista," Luci's catalyst Wand of the Pink Goddess and Nar'vash both fired simultaneously at different directions clearing Baby and Menan's side for a short while. She then rested a bit, overlooking the area. "Baby, there is an opening, Menan's side, a street corner, let us try to lose the swarm there. Then head over to that high rise — it is quite far."

Baby paused for a while, "Shiro..." He just grunted. "Ok, let us try, we don't know what is out there. So be ready at a moment's notice. Shiro go, Menan lead, vamanos!" Everyone did as told. Luci and Menan cleared the path then rush the corner with the swarm in tow. Acki on rear swung his sword in full circle breaking the foundation of the building and making it fall, crashing on the swarm and blocking the path.

Shiro up on the rooftops, marking the way.

Ca'li changes to a dual crossbow and fired at anything that moves. "Don't go inside we will go straight to the rooftop." Baby uses her whip to fling her up then grabbed the wall with her claw. Luci rode Nar'vash.

"Menan," Acki with sword stretches out, Menan jump up landing on his sword, Acki catapulted him, at the end of the momentum he ran up the walls unto the rooftop.

Menan looks down the sides. "CLEAR!"

Shiro threw down his chain for Acki to climb, the rest went up their own way.
