10 Himalayan Blunder!

Carefully taking a seat, Christie tried her best to be as polite as she could. She needed this opportunity and this couldn't be wasted. Pamela spared a glance at Christie when she came in just now and was satisfied with her appearance. She followed everything that she instructed her to do. She thought her first impression was considered good.

"So sir, this is my daughter, Christie." Pamela felt so excited to introduce her daughter and she looked at the chairman's reaction before proceeded, "She is just twenty four years old." Telling as much info as she could would be the best option at that moment.

Michael just nodded his head replying to what Pamela just said. At the age of sixty two, he sometimes could already read someone's intention but still, jumping to conclusion too early was not always a good decision so he just listened and decided to go with the flow.

Getting no question or anything back from the chairman, she kept on talking. "I thought she was at the age of getting married too, but yeah, girls nowadays are hard to talk too."

"Already have a boyfriend?" He tried to bait, to confirm what was on his mind.

"That's the problem, she was the shy type and hard to approach." She did her best to lobby for her daughter and portrayed her as a perfect girl to make as a wife.

"Really?" He took a glance at Christie and saw the way she dressed and her total appearance. Actually, he did not hear any good things from Adam about this girl but seeing Camellia didn't complain or ask him for help, he felt he would go too far if he interfered.

"I am so concerned and trying to find her a suitable partner in life."

He nodded again, then took a look at his watch. Andrew seemed to take some time doing his business. He seriously thought there must be something wrong with his stomach.

"So Sir, I heard you want to break the engagement two years ago. Is it true?" Everything started to go wrong from here.

That question caught his attention straight away. He looked at her with a slight frown on his brow as he thought she had crossed the line. "And what about that?"

"Oh sorry Sir, if I ever said something that I shouldn't." She noticed the change and her brain was now working so hard thinking about how to put the words out.

"It's okay, but I don't think there is anything to discuss regarding that matter." He made sure to put a stop on that topic and wanted to block any necessary discussion about those things. It was pointless anyway.

"I'm sorry again, but for the first time my daughter has an interest in a guy and that happens to be your son." Shameless! She didn't care, she needed to proceed with the plan. This might be their only chance.

"Excuse me? My son?" He was now putting on his cold face. Yes! The cold aura was actually inherited from him. Both of his sons emit the same aura as he did right now when they were not satisfied with something or not comfortable with someone.

"Yes…" She stopped, reading the situation before deciding to continue, "your second one, Alexander."

"Pardon me?! Not Adam but Alexander??" He was utterly speechless. "Pamela right??" He asked and didn't think he needed to be polite anymore, "I think you really crossed the line, and as now, I think we didn't have anything to discuss and don't ever show your face to me." He stood up, ready to go before turning back and said, "Both of you."

"But sir, I swear my daughter will be a better choice for your son compared to Camellia." Not wanting to give up, she spoke out another bullshit that made Michael laugh in disbelief.

"In which part anyway??" He looked at Christie up and down and shook his head. "I don't see any."

"Sir, please. If not Alexander, maybe Adam?" Being brazen, she stopped him by holding on to his arm. She stooped too low and she didn't know why she was being that desperate herself. Maybe because she knew she already ruined herself right now and why not just go all the way.

He glared at the hand that was holding his hand, "Just because you are Andrew's wife it doesn't mean I will treat you the same." His eyes continued glaring at her hand until she let go. The whole room temperature felt like dropping, it felt chilly and Pamela and Christie could feel it to her bone.

"Remember this, I could destroy you in a split second. Make sure you stay with him because he would be your safe place or once you are not with him anymore, that's when you see your end." He finished his words and slid the door open to walk out from the room leaving both of the mother and daughter tongue-tied.

"What should we do mom?" Christie came near Pamela and held her hand with her shaking one.

"Shut up!" She closed her eyes. Her brain stopped working, she couldn't think of any solution to this problem right now. She let out a long exhale.

"Mom…"

"I said shut up!!" She almost lost her mind right now, she regretted being stupid and followed whatever her daughter want. She knew from the start that the chances were too low.

"I'm sorry…" Apologised, she stepped back a few steps.

"And being sorry could solve anything right now? Not enough being dumb you even included me in this! If I knew this would happen, I would have squeezed you to death since baby!" She spitted out her anger. She didn't realise that what she was saying right now was like she was spitting on the sky, the spit went back to her. This would not happen if she didn't plan this whole thing. For the conclusion, she was also being dumb here.

The door that suddenly opened made the both of them turned to look at it. Andrew's face appeared and it looked like he suffered a lot from the laxative that Pamela put in his drink before coming here.

"Where is the chairman?" He asked as he didn't see him there.

She gulped before started lying, "He said he has something urgent to do and needed to get back first."

"Really?" His eyes furrowed, as the pain in his stomach came again. He rushed to the toilet once again but then a message came. It was from the chairman, as he felt that message was more urgent than his, so he opened and read it.

[I don't want to sound bad, but be careful and take care of your daughter better. She needs your protection.]

A layer of wrinkles appeared on his forehead as he tried to understand the message that was sent by the chairman.

'Did something happen?'

Could not hold the urge anymore, he rushed to the toilet to finish his urgent matter first.

Done with that, he went back to the room and saw both Pamela and Christie's gloomy face. Still thinking about the thing that was sent by the chairman just now, he asked, "Did something happen when I'm not here just now?"

"Huh?" Pamela's lips looked pale hearing the question. "No, nothing happened. Why?" Acting clueless as usual.

"Are you sure nothing happened?" He started to feel curious as he saw Pamela's face became paler every time he asked questions.

"Did the chairman say something?" The stupid question that was not supposed to be ask.

Catching that something was definitely wrong right now, he threw the question, "Does he need to say anything?"
