This is a story of the one who wields the flute and the other who inquires for his soul. When the soul he kept searching for nearly thirteen years was reincarnated, he played the guqin another tone. One that begged the heavens to bring his soul to the same time and world where his beloved was reborn. He played the guqin until his fingers were sore and bloodied, and when his time came, his fingers became skinnier as bones and ashen as a corpse, he played one last song. A song for the one he seeks.
