"I've never seen brother-in-law smiling like that since sister-in-law passed away." Xue Yin wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.

Jason stared at Ye Zong's back and said. "We humans are emotional creatures, bounded by six desires and seven emotions. It doesn't matter how much we try to act, at the end of the day, it's very difficult to escape from it. He really loved his daughter dearly but the heavy responsibilities caused his personality to turn cold... She is the biggest weakness of his heart, anything happening to her will break him... At least he is better than many others who came before him."

Xue Yin asked, her expression confused. "Little brother, what are you talking about?"

He smiled and said. "Unlike him, many people had tried to use their emotions to advance further. Rather than carrying them, they tend to severe them, becoming what you call a heartless demon. But in my eyes, those fellows are all fools. Hahaha..."

Laughing lightly, he continued. "These emotions are what make us all humans, without them, we're just empty shells. To transcend heaven means to rise above them, not completely breaking away. And that's why Ye Zong is better than them in this regard. Hahaha..."

Xue Yin didn't understand completely what he was saying but she still knew that it was somewhat important.

Jason stopped, his gaze staring at the entrance.

"Since you two lass are here then come inside already."

"Huh? Who is here?" Listening to him, Xue Yin also turned to the entrance.

A few seconds later, two figures appeared from the shadows. Looking closely, both Jason and Xue Yin were familiar with them.

It was Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er.

Let alone Xue Yin, even the girls were shocked to see each other there.

Jason chuckled with a smile, "Don't you think it's bad manners to listen to others' conversations secretly?"

"I'm not..."

"No, it's not..."

Both of the girls simultaneously replied, trying to deny it.

Ye Ziyun knew how strong and dreadful the young boy was. Despite being as old as she, he was leagues above her, both in terms of knowledge and strength. Her shock was still minimal.

But Xiao Ning'er was different. She arrived at the Inscription Association for advice from her teacher but what she saw left her in a state of dumbfoundedness.

The City Lord, the strongest person after Lord Ye Mo, Ye Ziyun's father was lowering himself in front of Junior, talking with him with such respect. Looking at Jason she could guess that he wasn't much older than her but it just blew her mind away.

The curiosity regarding the young man's identity almost forced her to rush ahead and ask but she still controlled herself, knowing clearly to not interfere at that moment.

But even she never thought that it would let her get discovered by the other party.

Jason turned to Xue Yin. "President Xue Yin, how about you go ahead and try your new cultivation technique? Leave this place to me."

Xue Yin looked at him deeply, catching his signal. She nodded her head with a smile and left after greeting the girls.

After she was gone, Jason spoke. "It seems I should talk with your fathers about this incident."

"No!" Both of them simultaneously shouted.

The girls hailed from noble families and were called the Twin Goddess because of their beauty and talents. And yet in front of him, they could feel a tremendous pressure on them, forcing them to lower their pride.

Even though they never showed it upfront, the duo had quite the pride for being talented and knowledgable among their peers.

But the one in front of them seemed to be their peer and yet had surpassed them with not even in sight.

Jason smiled and asked. "So, what brings you guys here?"

Ye Ziyun was startled, fidgeting with her fingers nervously with a slight blush on her face. It was quite embarrassing for her to say that she was just curious about him and came here to see him.

On the other hand, Xiao Ning'er was not that much nervous, replying honestly. "I'm here to look for Teacher Wu Ming."

"What do you want with the teacher?" Jason ignored Ye Ziyun's weird behavior and rather focused on Xiao Ning'er. "Hadn't he provided you with the Daoyin Technique and even advised you to rest so what are you doing running around?"

"How do you know?" Xiao Ning'er was astonished, completely blown away. 'It was something only known by I and Teacher Wu Ming so how did he...'

Seeing through her thoughts, he said. "I'm Nie Li, Teacher Wu Ming's assistant. He told me about your condition, wanting me to look after you and make sure that you follow your treatment. He is currently busy so if you need something then tell me."

Even though it sounded absurd, but Xiao Ning'er still believed it somewhat, almost forgetting about the incident of the City Lord just a few minutes ago.

"Well, I asked my servants to learn the Daoyin Technique but they couldn't understand it. So, I'm going to ask Teacher Wu's help."

"They can't understand such a simple technique. Haih! Just what type of servants do you even have?" Jason was surprised. He never thought that there would not be even one person among her servants who could use the Daoyin Technique.

"Forget it. I'll deal with it." Jason said and stood up.

"W-Wait! B-But it requires directly touching the area." Xiao Ning'er blurted out. She just couldn't let a stranger despite him being a god-like figure touch her like that. Even though it was for treatment, she still felt odd about being touched by someone.

And also currently, Ye Ziyun was also present there.

Jason understanding her inner worries waved his hand. "No need to fret. Just don't move too much."

He opened his palm and three long silver needles appeared out of nowhere, hovering over his palm

Flicking his hand, he released the needles.

A soft sound and the silver needle he infused with his energy shoots tautly toward Xiao Ning'er and pierces her lower rib.

Xiao Ning'er widened her eyes as her slim body trembled yet again. She felt a sting but her heart was astonished. She had never told anyone, not even Teacher Wu, and yet the young man accurately hit her bruise.

"This is… Zephyr Acupuncture?" Ye Ziyun was a little more knowledgeable than Xiao Ning'er, instantly recognizing the technique.

Zephyr Acupuncture. It was a method that made use of a fighter's control over his strength to control the pathway of the silver needles to pierce the correct spots without coming into contact with the patient's body.

In this way, a male physician would be able to apply acupuncture without coming into proximity to a female patient. This way, the awkwardness between the two was able to be avoided.

Such a method of practicing acupuncture might seem simple, but it is actually incredibly complicated.

The needle pierced into Xiao Ning'er's flesh and the pure Sovereign Qi probed into her body.
