Ye Kai and Ye Shuo were taken aback by that, realizing that the small pill was such a sacred elixir.

Jason looked at their expressions and understood that his simple help brought him a problem. Quickly thinking of a solution, his eyes lit up. "Big Sis, I don't have the formula, only my master has it. If you want, I'll ask my master for it. But everything will be left to him."

Holding his hands, Yang Xin looked at him hopefully, her eyes filled with inexplicable charm. "I'll wait for the good news."

Anyone would be floored by such a look instantly agreeing on the spot but her charms were almost useless on Jason as he smiled at her.

'What is going on here? I am planning to keep a low profile but here I am attracting even more attention to myself. It is like there was something inside me that wanted me to teach these fools their proper place, the difference between us?... The same thing happened during my fight with the previous King of Assassins in my past life. Just what the hell is going on?'

Jason couldn't help but sigh thinking about his past life. 'Even then I attracted all kinds of attention, both good and bad... Do I have some kind of special ability or something to attract problems?... Or is there some kind of secret to my origin? Well, even if I want to ask Rin will just ignore me. I can only find it on my own with my abilities... Maybe that Goddess was aware of it. I have to find the answers to my questions!'

After parting with Ye Kai and Ye Shuo, Yang Xiu guided him to the City Lord's mansion.

Chatting with him about topics regarding alchemy, the distance was covered pretty quickly.

The guards at the entrance were very respectful. Even if they were some powerful figures, all of them had to give face to Yang Xin or else they could just say goodbye to the precious elixirs from the Alchemist Association.

"Director Yang, what brings you here? Eh? Little brother Nie Li, you're here too!"

They had just arrived but a surprised voice caused them to stop in their tracks. Looking ahead, they saw a young woman in her mid-twenties walking over to them with a surprised expression.

"President Xue Yin! How are you?" Director Yang's eyes flashed with a peculiar light, listening to her she realized that Jason and Xue Yin were acquainted with each other.

"I'm fine. What about you?" Xue Yin arrived in front of them, greeting Yang Xin before turning to Jason. "What about you, Little Brother Nie Li?"

Before Jason could speak, Yang Xin interjected. "President Xue should keep her status in mind. You're already married. Calling a young man like that will affect your image!"

Jason was an important member of the Alchemist Association. Aside from that, his knowledge was way too profound, how could she let someone else get close to him?

Xue Yin's face twitched but how could she let Yang Xin get the upper hand? She spoke, "Director Yang doesn't have to worry about my image. Beside little brother Nie Li is a member of our Inscription Association with the potential to reach a Grandmaster in the future. I should ask you what are you doing with him here?"

"A Grandmaster?!" Yang Xin was surprised by it. "How can it be possible? He is a member of the Alchemist Association with the knowledge of an Alchemist Grandmaster. Even President Gu Yan respects him!"

Suddenly both the women were shocked. If what they were saying was true then didn't that mean that Jason was a genius in both Inscription and Alchemy?

But wouldn't that make him a complete monster?!

"Little brother Nie Li!"

"Young Master Nie Li!"

They simultaneously called out to him, turning their heads towards him, only to see the place deserted with no one in sight aside from them.

Jason saw them fighting and decided to escape because even the King of Assassins could not stop the two women from arguing with each other.

He could feel a soul force not from far away, seemingly someone was cultivating at this time. Curious, he walked in that direction.

"Halt!"

But he had barely reached the place when two guards appeared stopping him in his tracks. Standing in front of him, both of them pointed their weapons at him.

"Who are you?! What are you doing here? State your purpose!" One of them shouted at Jason with the other one ready to attack him at any moment.

Jason on the other had a weird reaction on his face. His face was twitching with the way they were conducting themselves.

'A stranger had appeared in your place and rather than capturing him, you are asking these nonsense questions. Now I have doubts about the security of the City Lord's mansion. Should I?...'

"Little brother, so here you are." However, at this moment, Xue Yin appeared as his savior. "You disappeared just now. I'm so worried... What's going on here?"

She had just arrived and realized that something was wrong. Pointing at the guards, she shouted. "What are you doing? How dare you point your weapons at Young Master Nie Li? He's a special guest invited by City Lord himself! Put down your weapons and apologize this moment."

Under her stern gaze, the guards could only comply and apologize while inside both of them were shocked. 'He is a guest of the City Lord and just now we... If something had happened ever our heads could fly!'

Jason on the other hand had other thoughts. 'Maybe not. A commotion at the City Lord's mansion will be too much.'

"Little brother, come with me. I'll take you to the City Lord."

Jason nodded his head and turned around to follow her.

"Aunt Xue, what's going on here?"

However, just at this moment, a slightly young and childish voice came from the direction, Jason was going to check, followed by the appearance of a young girl around Jason's age. She had a slender build with waist-length purple hair. Her lavender eyes held a unique charm as she looked at everything curiously. The air around her was quite warm and welcoming, a friendly nature.

"Miss!" The guards immediately greeted her with a bow.

Xue Yin smiled and said in an apologetic tone. "It seems the commotion disturbs Miss. Please forgive us."
