4 Two Week Later
This has been the greatest week of my life. I should say lives. I have spent the last week going over the magic books I got through the magic books of first-year charms outside of that I was able to cast An Accio charm but It took 100 MP and made me feel slightly dizzy I guess there is recoil when you use large amounts of magic you aren't used to. I know I won't be able to master any specific form of magic in under three months until the Apocolypse.
I have managed to achieve wandless magic though it takes quadruple MP than it does when I use Elder Wand and I can really use spells yet It's more like shaking telekinesis. I have managed to learn the transfiguration Alphabet and formula of first year but the only truly successful transfiguration I've achieved is a matchstick to a needle It didn't take much Mp pretty much like instantaneously casting the wingardium leviosa charm with no continuous flow of magic. After learning the transfiguration Alphabet I opened up a book on Ancient Runes and Enchanting. I found a magic that Clicks even faster than charms.
The possibilities of enchanting are endless. Enchanting is the strongest form of magic in my opinion because you can continuously load magic for a bigger effectyou can't do that for a spell except for rituals and for most rituals pluso you need a basic understanding of runes and Enchanting either way. plus, you can Create items that have a magical effect that can last for a long amount of time think of the marauder's map or the mirrors that Sirius Black had, Nothing matches its versatility except maybe spell creation and it can takes months of hard work calculating the arithmancy for a single spell were enchanting can would take minutes to hours. Though it does come with a big downside one slight incorrect carving and you're gone since you have to be continuously flowing magic into your carving all the runes you write will connect and react exponentially times the amount of magic you put into the enchantment it will have varied but severe violent effects. I can see why in the Harry Potter movie always hinted that magic is alive. It's like it knows that the enchanter is binding it to an object.
I have my studies Set up for the next three months I'm going to focus on the Standard Charms, the Basic Transfiguration, Enchanting/Item creating, Mind Arts, Physical Capabilities, Healing, Apparition/Disapparition, and Warding. By the time the apocalypse comes, I want to be able to make wanded magic a kind of secret card up my sleeve I really want to be able to design a few magical items that I can disguise to be used by people that I want to protect. The reason I choose these areas is that they all would be directly effective to my or the people around me survival.
The Transfiguration, Charms, and Physical capabilities would be good for self-defense.
Healing, Mind arts, and Warding will keep magic a secret and help me fortify wherever I live and who I am able to trust Can't have people learning about me and then playing a game of kill the wizard Blaming me for the apocalypse. Healing will really help for anything other than a zombie bite i doubt the sorting hat would call this world a punishment if I could just magic the virus away.
The Enchanting/Item Creation and Apparition/Disapperation will be used for Transportation and communication I have plans to use the Sirius Blacks method with the MIrrors but maybe disguise it into a long-range walky talky plus creating Portkey's for long distances if I dedicate a significant portion of the next few months I think I could manage it but I have to be really careful. The book describes that about half of all Young witches and wizards who choose to be Enchanters blow themselves up Apparition is just as dicey with Splintering.
Moving away from magic I've gone on five dates with Alex each one better than the last though after the second date she felt comfortable yelling at me a bit as I'm distracting her from focusing on her work. We haven't done anything physical really just a good bit of kissing. I cooked for her we had a small horror movie marathon. We worked out In the Prescott gym together which was nice because I got to test my new body I may not be a Super Soldier but compared to my old Body it sure felt like I was one. My physical stats went up one stat working out. My Wisdom and Intelligence Went up by three. Most of the first charms I had sitting at Level 10 Which made casting smooth For wordless Casting need to be level 20 and I think I will get wandless casting at level 30. Though leveling past 10 is exponentially harder than I guess that's why they revise certain Spells second year in Hogwarts and still barely anyone can do wordless or wandless casting.
I Practiced Legimancy on a bird for two hours yesterday it agreed in the trade for some bacon that I had Higgins bring me some. I was minorly successful with legimency. I really loved Getting to Use my Beast Speak that's going to come in handy. I'm standing in front of my mirror about to go on my Sixth date with Alex. We are just going down to the bar for the drinks. I'm wearing a Brioni men's Brunico essential virgin wool two-piece 6,000-dollar suit. Having money is almost better than having Magic. I straighten my suit with my hands button it and check my status.

I'm looking forward to this date a lot. I was hoping she would give me the answer today about taking my offer. After the first week, I offered her a position on my collective to Build an A.I. I decided to fund a project for a Fully automated A.I. that would detect biomarkers of diseases. It's pretty much the exact project Arvin would have jumpstarted 2 months from now the idea for an A.I. that detects biomarkers for diseases was a great idea but too bad it wouldn't ever come to fruition he put together his team at the start of April the show's finale is around April 15th the same day the apocalypse starts.
If I can assemble the team inside of the next month that could give them a month of progress on the project I can make locate it at a private facility and maybe even get some solid security when shit hits the fan. Maybe get the Jenners from the CDC from walking dead. I had many reasons one I could maybe find a way to track the virus when it starts his project was too late to be effective another is I'd be able to get a number of scientists in a defended facility that has the necessary capabilities to last longer than the CDC did in the show and it could be the place I build my eventual survivor colony off of.
She has mentioned several times how she doesn't think her job is a good fit for her because she hasn't found any ethics or morality in the company and doesn't want her work to help monsters it's the same thing that Arvin uses to convince her to quit her job and work for him I know that sounds like he forced her but if she didn't have an attraction to him she could have found a better research project with better amenities that still was ethically inclined especially if she had experience in the field. I'm in no way scared that Arvin could sideline Alex from me he was kind of the wrap-it-up neat bow guy that would fit the ending that the crowd wanted without finding someone who was actually suitable.
Honestly, I always felt that was a big mistake for them to end up with Arvin. Sure, Arvin was more intelligent than the guys she usually went for except for maybe Sanjay, But She had finally made a name for herself she had lived her entire life living behind Haley's shadow even when she was at college her successes were secondary to Haleys relationship issues she is finally standing on her own feet as a success just to throw it away just to end up with Haley's ex-boyfriend that She's herself admitted when she dated the weaselly guy that she likes messed up guys to fix like a project she only carried on a crush for because Arvin showed no interest in Alex herself but her sister.
A constant throughout the show that Alex struggled with was Doing what she wanted and not what others expected of her just as her dad told her not to take that internship that would have driven her crazy when they played that role-playing game in the magic shop. I really don't want to be manipulative and it feels weird knowing all of this and she not knowing the real me and I plan to tell her not about the reincarnation but I feel like it would be ok to tell her about magic maybe in a month I want her to look into the tech/magic issue before the apocalypse starts. It's still a bit soon.
As I Walk out of the elevator I see her. All the Dumbledorian manipulation thoughts are forced out of my head. I don't remember my own name I slouch a little I don't feel my legs any more I'm kind of just gliding across the floor admiring how good she looks the red dress is classy but very form-fitting with thin straps on her shoulders and it's indescribable how good she looks.
"You just missed double o 7 you'll have to wait for another time to seduce him with your femme fatale charms, "I say the first part kind of slowly I motion over to Higgins and put up two fingers and point at her drink he nods and moves away I guess he trying to give us some distance as I finish I lean in and say quietly next to her ear "though I don't get how he could leave such a beautiful woman as yourself to drink all alone though there is that old proverb one's man loss can be another's gain"
She smiles and blushes. She hesitates and leans into my ear.
"That would really send him over the edge, Wouldn't it? I'm Afraid I'm not that cruel," she said the famous line from Casino Royale god I love this girl. I lean in and give her a light peck on the lips. She smiles but gives me this far-away look and pulls back, I don't like that and try to think what's wrong.
"You haven't been here very long have you?" I Ask. As I do Higgins brings over two jack and cokes I guess she gets her taste from her grandfather. I notice the glasses next to her two of them so maybe she's been here a bit.
"A bit I was a bit nervous, something serious happened with my family and I want to ask if you'll come and you haven't met them yet but we've spent so much time together and I could really use you and I don't know if this is too early for us..." She rambles a little emotionally and I stop her by leaning her chin up. She looks like she's about to start crying. It hurts I think she's going to break up with me but why would she be getting this emotional
"What's wrong?" I ask simply. I'm very worried at this point. She sighs.
"My grandfather passed away and I was wondering if you would come with me." She said in a somber tone. I felt relieved and then guilty that I felt relieved I mean her grandfather had died but in my defense I died two weeks ago I didn't fear it maybe he's off to a better place but losing her would hurt even if we had just started to get to know each other. I Wiped a tear going down her face.
"I'd love to be there to support you and your family I'm so sorry your grandfather passed away," I tell her and I mean it. I know that Gamer's mind is repressing some of my emotions but anything I'm feeling for her whether it's joy at her successes or sadness at her losses feels amplified since the loss of some of my own bad emotions like fear anxiety and sadness. I guess I'll have to figure out a way to turn that off unless I want to be some manipulating monster eventually but right now I think I need that logical thinking until after everything falls apart.
I Stand her up and we walk out. she was about to start crying a bit and this was a bit too public. We walked up to her room and she started kissing me. I reciprocated but not as much I knew she was only doing this because she was emotionally vulnerable. I didn't want to take advantage of her. We got to her bed but by then we had slowed down a lot. The kisses were softer less needy like she just appreciated me being there. We ordered some room service. We watched casino royale because it was fresh on our minds.
She fell asleep on my chest I turned the tv off and watched the rain fall through my window with such a gorgeous view of this stunning girl in my arms and even though my life was headed towards a Violent u-turn I was truly happy. no thinking of the future no thinking of the past.

I know a few people will be worried that I'm making him too op and by giving him so much money he won't have to live through the problems of an original walking dead fic but I have plans in mind don't worry also the timeline pretty much I just moved the walking dead world six months later and moved the modern family time line up by nine years so in comparison Rick should be a month after away from entering his coma, The apocalypse will start the April the 15th and Rick will wake up around the end of April after the world has fallen apart. Now the reason the Prescott is so high-tech is as I described it as that its a place for the super-rich and famous and I didn't describe anything they wouldn't have in 2011 I think if I did then that was a bit of a mistake plus I mean tony stark( though Marvel/MCU is not apart of this universe) came out with his A.I. in 2008 plus V.I. for CDC so I don't think my mc goals are too lofty for the three months he has plus this is the only time his money is going to be worth anything. His training plan for the time left will be intense plus strategizing to build a facility on the side but I want him to really get to know the Dunphys in the last episodes between the finale so the next chapters will have him interact with them though I will show gradual gains from his magic and physical training he won't be able to level up so no extra stat points until the apocalypse.)
(It doesn't mention it but he used the time turner every single day so really this is his progress after 16 days' worth of time instead of 14.)
