Chapter 2: A Soldier
Hadassah slowly opens her eyes. The light from the sun made her squint and it took her quite some time to adapt. After that, she sat up straight and carefully looked around her surroundings. There are trees surrounding her and the trees are very tall and dense. She's in a plain ground devoid of grass and trees, probably caused by some strong force. It seems she's alone.
"Huhh? A forest really? Why-" now that she remembers, SHE WAS DEAD!!!!! How come I'm still alive? She quickly checks her body and finds out there were no injuries or pain that she can feel. She pinched herself and got pain in reflex. She wasn't dreaming. Then where am I? Where in the world am I???
Hadassah takes a deep breath to calm herself down. "Calm down, observe your surroundings and try to find a clue" She gets up and quickly observes her surrounding, "There are animals, at least I'm not in some kind of barren and no-living-being kind of land. Ugh thank god"
Rustle
She stops moving and subconsciously stops breathing.
Rustle. Tuck tuck tuck
Quickly hide Hadassah! Sh*t I'm not alone! How did I become so carefree just because I'm in a forest! Oh damn. I'm getting stupid. Is it because I was head shot?
"Whose there?", asked a man with a stern voice.
Hadassah immediately uses her hiding skills. Stay in the shadow, minimize your breathing as weak as possible. Stay alert.
The noise keeps getting closer. Oh I really want to dug a pit and burry myself. What if it's another killer? Then I'd be damned. Suddenly, the surrounding got so quiet, only the chirps of the birds and the sound of the animals can be heard. Hadassah remained squatting and alert. If there's any danger, she's ready to run anytime. Just as she was waiting for the opportunity to run, she was suddenly half a meter high up from the ground.
Harrison Lancered and his team are tasked to eliminate the Leo Bloodlust gang, a gang that has always been running in the dark. For some reason, they had been actively rampaging this time around. For this reason, Harrison Lancered and his team has been chasing and eliminating them one by one. This time, they managed to locate their home base and they prepared a full-proof plan for quick elimination. The team is named Sky Eagle. It is composed of the commander, Harrison Lancered, a young lieutenant general who was known as the son of the infamous great General Cross Lancered.
The captain, Fortune Black, the most trusted man by Harrison. Fortune Black has the most skilled ability in ammunitions, second only to Harrison.
The vice-captain, Lucky Force, was the best logistic man in the force. Any brainly problems can be solved by him. He's the brain of the team.
The hacker, Swift Gold, is the best hacker in the force, second only to Harrison, the commander. They are the main members of the team. Harrison, Fortune, Lucky, and Swift, known as the Great Four. They are now ready for ambush.
Harrison: "Swift, back us up."
Swift: "Yes sir!"
Harrison: "Fortune and Lucky, get ready to attack in 3, 2, 1. Eliminate!"
Bang bang bang! Crashhhh! Beep beep beep "Intruders alert. Intruders alert!"
Huff huff. Leo, the leader of the Leo Bloodlust gang was currently speeding towards the Safety Cabin. "Just self-destruct! Self-destruct!"
"But boss, there are still many brothers left! We can't-"
"They are now dead! We don't have much time! Just self-destruct!"
Swift is watching all the cameras when there was a red alert that popped in his screen. Seeing this, Swift got his breathing unstable and immediately alerted the team.
"It's gonna self-destruct! Leave now!!!"
Self-destruction can't be detected in the processor because it's mainly in the core of the base but this deadly self-destruct doesn't usually get triggered in average gangs like the Leo Bloodlust gang. Unless the situation is really dire, can the self-destruct be implemented. They never expected them to have such a destructive force. This is a miscalculation.
Bang! The whole base got destroyed. Unfortunately, the destructive force is too strong that even Swift in the distance got unstable for a second, not to mention that Fortune and Lucky just got 50 meters away and Harrison just stepped out of the base.
"Commander!", exclaimed the three.
Fortune and Lucky got scrapped from the flying objects that just got bombed while Harrison can be seen severely wounded. Harrison has great physical body so he's just wounded, if it's any other person, they would have had broken limbs or maybe dead.
The three immediately came over to Harrison and helped him up to a safe distance.
Enduring the pain, Harrison asked: "Swift what happened to Leo?"
Swift: "I've already tampered with they're transportation sir. It won't be long before they self-destruct...again."
Not long later, a bang sounded in the distance.
"Alright, let's go inspect whether they're dead."
The mission can't be over unless identified dead.
Later they found the broken bodies of the escaped gangsters. Mission accomplished. "Let's go back."
Swift: "Errr, about that sir, the ship is damaged. It will take time to repair the parts before we can safely fly."
Harrison pursed his lips then said: " This gang is unusual. Next time we can't let any more mistakes happen." Then he looked at Lucky.
Lucky got the message and said, "Don't worry sir, I will keep this in mind."
Fortune said with a smirk: "Sir this place is well hidden. This is a good base."
The other three got speechless but then shake their heads later. Well, this place is really good.
Harrison: "Prepare to camp. Fortune and Lucky, go and hunt for food."
"Yes sir!"
Harrison: "Swift contact the headquarters and report."
Swift: "Yes sir!"
Grabbed by someone, Hadassah assumed a fighting position and was about to lash out but heard the other saying, "Oh? There's a civilian here. Lucky! See what I've got here! Haha I found a rabbit!"
Rabbit?! Me a rabbit?! Who the heck is this guy?! She turns around and was dumbfounded to see a familiar uniform. A uniform worn by the soldiers in a fantasy movie! No way! Though the uniforms is slightly different from what she knew, it's still 'the uniform'.
"You're a soldier!" She unconsciously exclaimed in excitement.
