Hadar's Ready to Work!

(Hadar POV)

The next morning, I summoned Leona to my office.

Looking at her maid outfit, her dazzling face looked so cute. Her feminine beauty increased in that dress.

I loved seeing her innocent smile and treated me like a king. Man, having a beautiful aide at my side wasn't bad.

Why was she here? I wanted to convey her true feelings, or more I wanted her to show up her true talents. That's why I ordered her to become my administrative advisor. And, she delightedly agreed.

She's putting a lot of effort to teach me all her knowledge about politics, management, and the administrative system.

It's just one day, but I could feel my brain starting to ignite from her strict education.

Her vast knowledge was beyond my expectation, and I honestly couldn't catch up to her education level.

'I, I thought she's an ordinary girl, but to think she's a very dedicated servant. S, she's a talented genius!' I shuddered after I realized my mistake.

No matter, it's too late.

Man, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She's looked mature when she wore that sharp glasses.

Her ponytailed amber hair bounced back and forth whenever she moved.

Her fair skin suited her pretty face that could rival the contestants in a beauty pageant.

I thanked the courier for the blessing to meet this lady. She was really a good person. I had to wait for my legal age to do a lot of things for her.

'Man, I can't wait to become an adult,' I simpered.

So far so good, Leona and I spent our time together. More like, our lecture for today between a beautiful teacher and her student was economics.

She pulled out a remote and clicked it. Then, a large monitor appeared in front of us.

'U, umm, is this part of our education too? It feels like a meeting,' I worried.

"Milord, what is economics?" asked Leona, smiling. "Economics is the branch of knowledge concerned with the production, consumption, and transfer of wealth," I answered, hesitantly.

"Correct, and it's also the condition of a region or group as regards material prosperity," Leona confirmed. "Aaah, that's nice," I simpered.

"Now, let's proceed to this topic, milord. Here's the report for today," Leona adjusted her glasses and pointed her stick on the monitor. "According to statistic report, this planet is still ranked as the most undeveloped and unveiling garbage dumpster site in the whole universe. Its reputation received a lot of negative comments and bashes from the nobles out there."

'Where the fuck that stick come from?' I raised my left eyebrows.

"So, here's the thing, milord. All we have to do is changed the world itself. The economy of the country will only flourish if we rehabilitate the territory. The pollutions should be cured. By doing so, we must create a policy to educate our people about self-awareness and self-preservation," Leona explained promptly.

"Interesting. What should we do to make it happen?" I inquired. "We'll create propaganda to make them agree. Education is the key to success, something like that. Also, we should convince them to obey the law and discipline themselves to love mother nature. I propose to make the rehabilitation program a game. Everyone will truly enjoy it since they will receive exemplary rewards," she pointed out.

"Oh, brilliant. We should do that. Next?" I rolled down my pen while keeping my eyes on her beauty. The feminine beauty increased whenever she showed up her talent.

She was like a secretary in my office whenever I looked at her serious expression. Next time, I would ask her to wear a suit and a reading glass to increase her feminine appearance.

"Our military is in pretty bad shape according to the War Department. The number of our armed forces is approximately 5,000 space ships. Look at the photos, all of them are all old gigantic cruise ships and corvettes that are already a century behind the current generation," said Leona as she pointed her stick at the illustration of our main forces.

'Ouch, too old. It's completely neglected too far,' I said inside my mind.

"Milord, this is truly heartbreaking news. Why was it neglected like this? The answer is this. The former lords abandoned them all. More like, they corrupted it and used it for fun according to our external auditor."

'W, when did you the auditing? I have no idea about that. A, a, amazing.'

"This is why our national defense failed to receive enough support. Their supplies, morale, and the stockpile for its reorganization have been like this before you came in power. Sadly, only 10% can only be used in combat if someone declares war against us," Leona heaved a sigh.

"Eh? For real?" I shivered.

"My lord, the maintenance cost is one of the reasons our economy ain't doing good for several years. It only hinders the growth of our development, so I propose to decrease our forces by at least ninety percent. Focus on the functionality of our fleet for the moment," she suggested.

"Ninety percent? Come on," I placed a hand on my forehead and sighed. My body slowly slides down on my chair with a pale face.

"Exactly and we must do it as of today. According to my financial calculation and critical analysis, the GDT growth in our economy will improve from negative five hundred to .245 percent. It's still small but it's the starting point of our economic plan too," Leona declared, gravely.

"L, Leona, is this really part of our economic subject?" I worried. "Yes, milord. This is why listen very carefully," she patted my head and gave a wink.

I blushed when she did that.

"It's part of the duty of our Lord Hadar to bring prosperity to his people," she pointed out.

"Man, why should I do that? Nevermind, please continue," I gave in.

"To attract some investors, we must cure our planet and educate our people. Why we need it? Because they are going to become our economic lifeblood. To make our people happy and boost our popularity, we need the industrial mindset and manpower. By focusing to improve our industry we slowly should catch up with our neighbors. The more business we have, the GDP will increase slowly from this percentage to 1.34 percent per month. Then, we can allocate some money to fund our national defense. Our military is weaker than the bandit's lairs, but with our support, they can still hold a fight. Not bad, right? This is our temporary solution to this problem," Leona's face beamed when she explained it briefly.

'Damn, she's good. Very impressive.'

"Well, whatever. We'll do that," I acknowledged.

The next day, I signed the proposal for the modernization of my military, rehabilitation program, education policy, and the federal economic project for our planet.

She clasped her hands together and tilted her head on the side with a smiling face.

"Congratulation, milord. Our world will shock everyone after we succeed," Leona assured. "I, I, is that so. I'm flatter," I answered with cold sweat.

'Damn, being a Lord of this planet is tough than I expected.'

"Milord, there's another great news that I must share. Look at this pile of old warships. Why don't we scrap them all and recycle them for better use? There's a high chance that some merchants will buy these materials for their business. This could help us to earn some ducats and help our economy too," Leona proposed.

"Man, I have no idea what do you mean, but if this recycling thing will earn us some money, then let's do it. There's no harm from trying, though. By the way, should we create a law to modernize our fleet?" I heaved a sigh and gave in. "Lord Hadar, it is a nice idea to replace our warships with a new version, but the imperial government placed a strict policy for lower-ranking nobles for buying new models. As a baron, there's a lot of restriction that you need to understand. If you're determined to push the program, you need the approval of our liege, Count Weiss IV to act as your backer," she explained. "I see. Noted," I nodded.

"Milord, for the next lesson please listen. Take a look at this file, we recently discovered a lot of places that our planet was gifted with a lot of important materials such as pearl, steel, nickel, and gold. Not only that, we have the [platinum gem], one of the important rare materials for the warships. It's a magical stone which often uses as an energy source," Leona rejoiced when she discussed it.

'I, I have a bad feeling about this.'

"This is why I propose to take a loan again. The purpose is simple, to build a mining company to extract these materials. Mining in space and in this world is one of the economic booster, milord. Our planet will become one of the top export of rare and raw materials in just a nick of the time. Not only that, it will triple the size of our gross national product. Therefore, we don't have to worry about funding our projects on our own," Leona declared, smiling.

'I, I knew it! Loan again? Goddamn it, stop adding more oil into the fire, Leona.'

During that time, I received a grim reminder that even a beautiful girl with a big heart had an insane idea. Her level of reasoning and risk-taking mindset was dangerous to my mental health.

Question, everyone. Do you like my novel? I'm just curious.

The first volume will end in the last day of this month.
