25 Playing Dumb

(So apparently I have a bad attitude as an author since I say what is on my mind, give attitude to dumb/rude comments/questions, and honestly just don't give a single fuck about whether someone complains whenever they see a mistake. And this shall be another example of my lack of fucks that most other authors wouldn't do to try and seem professional or mature. I'm still gonna be writing how I choose and acting the same way. And nothing I say or do on this site will ever be deleted so you can all see it. Love it or hate it. But love the guys that are supporting me.)

Storm clouds formed over the group. Thunder boomed in the sky above. The winds blew all around them. The Masters of the Mystic Arts that should have been the center of attention were overshadowed storm around them created by the two teens from Wakanda.

"You are on Wakanda land! Leave now or face the consequences!" J'Zaki bellowed, his eyes turning white like Ororo's but with a dot at the center and a pair of tomoe in each. The woman in the hood didn't move so neither could the Masters. They were here for her after all.

A slightly, pudgy Asian man stepped forward before bowing and cupping his fists toward the pair.

"We apologize for any rudeness. I am Wong, Master of the Mystic Arts. We are pursuing this woman because she has stolen something from us. If you would please, we shall take her into custody and leave immediately."

J'Zaki was about to reject them when he heard Ororo whisper in his ears. Even though she was over 5 feet away, the young lady had managed to control the wind and use it to carry on the message to J'Zaki without anyone knowing.

"Let them take her. No need to expose our full abilities to them."

J'Zaki went along with it and shared a look with Ororo. The teen followed along with his play and shook her head before turning back to the people in front of them.

"Fine. Take that woman and these dead bodies away from here immediately. The spirits of these mountains shall become angry if you do not."

'Really, Ro? Adding in some fake spiritual stuff to make us seem even more backwater?' J'Zaki mentally complained but went along with it. The outside world still considered Wakanda to be a poor country that barely had anything larger than a medieval town.

Ororo and J'Zaki stood back while watching the squad battle the woman with the staff. The battle was very intense since each person was a master. The woman who was being ganged up on was on an even higher level of skill. She was managing to hold her own against the 4 powerful opponents.

'Hmm. It is most likely that staff she has in her hands. She is using nothing but darkness spells so that thing probably makes them more powerful. Even still, to be able to use it effectively, she must be just as skilled as any one of them without it.'

J'Zaki paid very close attention to them with his vision. He watched how the magical particles moved and each of their hand movements so that he could replicate the spells later.

He was planning to create his own mystic military division in Wakanda and needed some spells that he could give the people. Although he learned many thanks to Ingcuka, since those were gifts from a god, he was unwilling to share them without permission.

After a few minutes, the group had been able to capture the woman alive after disarming her. Literally. J'Zaki deactivated his eyes so that they wouldn't be able to see them. If they hadn't already been him through the snowstorm. Although Ororo was already exposed for her flying, it was better for them to think that only one of them was exceptional.

1 person that stands in a duo is rare. 2 that stand out may mean that Wakanda was hiding something.

Once she was tied up, the only woman in the group walked over and cupped her fists like the man before her.

"Greetings. I am Tina Minoru, Master of the Mystic Arts, Hong Kong Division. We thank you both for your understanding and apologize for the mess we have created on these mountains."

Several questions went through the minds of the teens. They had no idea who the Master of the Mystic Arts were or that they even had multiple divisions. But they didn't want to learn anything either way. From what they could tell, these guys were trouble and would not be of any help to Wakanda anyway.

"It's fine but we must ask you to leave immediately. The Elders will punish us if you are caught within our borders."

Tina nodded in understanding. Although she was sure that the Wakandans were overreacting, she did not wish to get the pair of teens in trouble by their presence in the mountains. So Tina rushed over to the other Masters before she formed a fiery portal in front of them. A few seconds later, all of them had walked through the portal, the only trace that remained of them was the damage their battle had done.

"Are they gone?" Ororo asked. J'Zaki activated his eyes once again and looked around. He confirmed that there were no more traces of the portals or any wards that would be watching the area.

"All good. They're gone."

"Perfect. Did you memorize all the spells they used, Ki?"

"Hmm. Let's hurry back. I'll write them down so you and the others can start learning them."

And so the pair returned to the Jabari Fort where all of the tribes had finished getting their supplies and were on their way back to their tribes. With all of them gone and their original objective completed, the duo flew back to the manor and landed on the roof.

Once they were back inside, the couple went to the library together. There, they pulled out dozens of empty books that J'Zaki quickly began to fill with as much detail as he could. How to move the magical energy around them, the hand movements, what to chant with each spell, and the effects of each one. He made sure to write down as much information as he could in order to ensure that the new group he was about to start was able to progress as smoothly as possible when he was out on missions.

And just like that, another week passed while he was writing it all out by hand. But when he was done, he was ready. The first version of the Book of Thoth had been finished.
