23 Love and Lightning Bolts

Ororo floated lightly off the ground, her eyes turning white. Thunder clouds gathered above the Tribal Farm. Rain poured down from them, watering all of the plants evenly without having to pick up a single canister.

Linoh and J'Zaki looked on from the side in approval. Ororo made taking care of the farm much easier. Without her, the number of workers they would need in order to take care of the farm before the vegetable and fruits even sprouted would be tripled.

Once the watering was done, Ororo turned around and smiled at J'Zaki. Seeing the smile on her face, J'Zaki knew what she was planning. He immediately summonsed his golden cuff and cast the Screen and Magnetize spells.

Dozens of large rocks appeared around his body covered in green lightning before floating off a few meters away from him. Almost as soon as the rocks appeared, several bolts of lightning appeared from the sky and struck down. If not for J'Zaki's quick reaction, the bolts would have hit him instead of the stones.

"Really, Ororo? Is that the best. You. Got," J'Zaki trailed off, seeing energy gather between Ororo's fingertips. "When did you learn how to do that?"

"Over the past few weeks."

A concentrated blast of electrical energy shot directly at J'Zaki. The prince hurried to dodge the attack. Just as he landed, another blast was nearing him. Without much choice, all he could do was cross his arms and take the blow. He was knocked off his feet and back several meters. When he landed, J'Zaki could that most of his body was numb from the electric signals in his body going haywire.

"So it's weaker than an actual lightning bolt but doesn't get attracted to my magnetized rocks. The power is pretty good and it fucked up my body to the point that it is hard to move. Against a normal person, they would die to something like that."

Ororo landed next to J'Zaki, looking at his arms with pity. Linoh also rushed over and checked out his arms. Both of his arms were burnt to a crisp.

"Sorry about that," Ororo apologized genuinely. She knew that he would be able to take her new attack but did not expect it to cause so much damage.

"It's fine. We agreed to train like this to keep us both on our toes and in top shape. Plus, I can fix this easily enough as long as I use one of the other blessings or head to Shuri's lab. Gonna do the latter since it's been a while since I've seen her (and the author is holding out on showing the other blessings for a while)."

"If you say so. But at least let me accompany you," Ororo said with a small pout. She looked unbelievably cute in J'Zaki's eyes when she looked at him with her blue eyes that way. If his arms weren't so burnt, he would have thought about finally making a move on her. But because of his arms, all he could think about was getting them treated as soon as possible.

Ororo was 2 years older than J'Zaki, making her 18. She had become a great beauty for one her age. If not for her engagement to J'Zaki, she would definitely be the most sought-after girl in all of Wakanda.

"Linoh. You wanna come with us?"

Linoh rolled her eyes when she heard the question.

'And see your PDA?' "No, thank you, your highness. I will go check on Maximus to make sure he is not bullying the other horses."

J'Zaki had brought his horse down to watch over the various horses they were raising, hoping a few of them would turn out like him. But he didn't expect his horse to become the alpha of the group so quickly and impregnate 5 of the female horses. Now they had to make sure to keep an eye on him so the next generation of horses did not end up all being filled with his DNA.

Ororo stood behind J'Zaki and wrapped her arms around his waist. J'Zaki felt her chest pressing into his back and instantly felt so comforted by the feeling that he forgot the pain in the rest of his body.

"Sorry if I am too close. I need to make sure that you don't fall off."

J'Zaki shook his head. He did not mind her holding on even tighter if she needed to. The feeling of her soft hands on his abs made him wish that they went just a little lower.

An invisible vortex of wind appeared around the two before lifting them into the air. Then they were off to the city. Ororo made sure to summon a mist that filled the city. When they entered, no one was the wiser.

More and more rumors had been spreading about how J'Zaki was aiming for the throne. And while they were being investigated, nothing had come up. So until they found out who was spreading those rumors and stopped them, J'Zaki wanted to avoid as much attention as he could when he entered the city.

The pair entered the lab through the underground entrance where they saw Shuri already waiting for them.

"Of course when a mist suddenly fills the city it is WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARMS?!?!"

Shuri rushed over to help carry J'Zaki to the medical unit. On the way, she heard the story about how their training incident had caused this. Although this wasn't the first time she had to patch him up in the past 2 years since he returned to the capital, this was definitely the most damage she had to fix.

"You two need to calm down with your training. What are you training so hard for?" Shuri questioned J'Zaki who was getting treated on the bed.

"The outside world. Tony Stark was the first. More and more Enhanced Persons have been appearing. Technology is getting better and better and we even have to deal with aliens.

One day, Wakanda will no longer be able to stay hidden. When that day comes, I want to make sure that Wakanda will be able to face whatever finds it."
