34 Champion

(Only one chapter today. Cause Turkey Day has me exhausted and I still need to write another 5 chapters for the mass release.)

While Magneto was executing Logan, J'Zaki had just returned to his manor with Ororo to rest. He had been pushing his body and mind to their limit over the past week so it was finally time to relax. The moment he returned to his bedroom, J'Zaki fell flat on his bed and entered the realm of dreams without taking off a single piece of clothing. Ororo came by the room an hour later to see the sorry state J'Zaki was sleeping in.

'He looks like he had been attacked,' Ororo giggled to herself before she walked over and undressed J'Zaki down to his underwear. The girl then proceeded to strip herself and hop into bed with her fiance before covering them both with a blanket.

Unknown to her, J'Zaki was not aware of any of this as his consciousness was in another plane.

-- Astral Plane --

J'Zaki was kneeling inside a large temple. All around him were lions lying down. Although none of them made any move to attack him, each of them was paying close attention to him. But the prince's attention was on the anthropomorphic lioness wearing armor.

"Lady Sekhmet. How may I be of service?"

The lioness smiled at J'Zaki. She appreciated that even though he was usually arrogant and prideful, he was able to put it away before her and the other gods.

"I've come to give you a... warning I suppose is the best word. I have already told you about how Wakanda was truly founded. But I have not told you about the true results of that final battle."

Hearing that there was extra history about the battle, J'Zaki's ears perked up. He hadn't realized it himself but he was a giant history nerd that loved to hear the tales of others.

"After we defeated the other rogue gods and were left weakened, the Olympians came to lay claim to the vibranium. Exhausted from our previous battle, it was impossible for us to defeat them and live to tell the tale," Sekhmet said with self-loathing in her eyes. She hated that she was at the mercy of others. But that self-pity turned to pride and rage. "But we had more than enough strength to kill them at the cost of our own lives. And they knew that we would certainly do it. So we made a deal.

After 500 years, we would send champions to battle each other. During this period of time, we would not interfere in the matters of the other side. They must have thought that they would continue to prosper while we would fall to obscurity due to our small pantheon and only having a small amount of land. But while their society fell, our rose higher than they could have imagined."

The pride in her voice couldn't be concealed. The fact that their small group had managed to surpass the countless Olympian gods and the 12 Olympians themselves was a major achievement. Sekhmet coughed in embarrassment. when she realized that she had gotten slightly off topic.

"Anyway, about the battle. In about 2 years' time, the deadline shall be up. At that time, we are to each send out 5 champions that shall battle one another, to death or surrender. The only rules are that we may not send out gods. This rule heavily favors the gods because all of Zeus's or the other gods' bastards that they had with mortals are allowed to participate.

If they win, they will get all of the Vibranium in Wakanda. But I shall not allow failure because it shall mean the end of Wakanda. Besides yourself and the Black Panther, you must prepare 3 other champions that can battle the likes of Achilles and Heracles."

Sekhmet was worried when she thought about all of the pressure she was putting on the prince but when she saw J'Zaki licking his lips at the thought of the battle, she remembered to who she was entrusting this task.

'Indeed. He is a suitable champion for a goddess of war such as myself.'

"Understood, Lady Sekhmet. I shall gather the best and lay waste to whoever the Greeks send out to battle us."

"Good. I expect nothing less from you. And as an initial reward, I shall allow you the most comfortable of rests tonight."

J'Zaki was about to reject her reward when he saw all the lioness pounce on him. Before they touched him, each of them turned into a being of light shaped like a lioness. As each one collided with his body, J'Zaki could feel his mind easing more and more. He had fallen asleep before the last one had even touched him.

The next morning, J'Zaki woke up feeling refreshed. He began to stretch under the blankets but was surprised when his hand came into contact with something smooth and soft. He squeezed it a few times, enjoying the feeling before realizing what it was.

"Are you done?" Ororo got woken up when J'Zaki decided to play with her breast, rather brutishly if she had to say so.

J'Zaki squeezed it a couple more times before he took his hand away. "Now I am."

The princess rolled her eyes before rolling over and falling back to sleep. J'Zaki saw that she still wanted to sleep so he pulled her closer to him and let her sleep in his arms while he thought about how he should deal with the challenge in two years.

'Of the 5 positions, I can think of 3 that will be filled. Besides myself and big brother, Ro is the perfect addition. She can already beat me, even if I use my mutation, magic, and chi. The only way I can take her is if I use Lady Sekhmet's or Lord Hanuman's blessings.

That just leaves the other two. Shuri is a good candidate if she can become more ruthless. There is also M'Baku and Elza as well. I'd also need to get them each a heart-shaped herb. Without those, the others stand no chance going up against those men of myth.'
