Chapter 18 - Part 2

"Go!" Harkin told him, seizing hold of the opportunity that Ermos had created, ending the lives of as many fallen goblins as he could before they struggled to their feet. The others joined him, terrified and anxious expressions on their faces, but their emotions only lent their strikes more power and they managed to hold the line, for now.

The goblins had learned to fear Ermos, after seeing how easily he dealt with a troll. As he ran over them, many did their best to scramble away from him, screeching all the while, throwing juvenile retreating blows at him, all of which fell short of their target.

The purple-backed troll that Ermos had chosen as his target was not so easily cowed, however. Where the others ran, he stood firm, beating his chest, swinging a huge tree of a club around with a single hairless hand.
