Wait, I am Eevee??

Chapter 3. Getting skills and levelling up.

Food, Coke, and Energy Candy.

Kiran happily looked at Coke. It had been a while since he had coke, so he couldn't wait.

He right away made a hole in the Coke bottle with his claws and drank it.

That hit the spot.

He suddenly wanted to get out of the dungeon and check whether this world had beer.

He cannot spend this life without beer!

Then he ate the rice.

I am full. Time to get skills.

He opened his notifications.

[ Ding! Congratulations, You have levelled up!

You are now at level 1

Your combat prowess has increased!

+10 SP ]

[ Ding! You have unlocked skill slots ]

[ Ding! You can select three skills from the given list of skills ]

SP points, huh?

He finally understood what the SP section in status is.

SP: Spirit Points. It is basically a numerical representation of spirit energy.

It is the energy behind the skills. Skills can only be used with the help of spirit points.

"Skills, skills (Eevee, eeveee)." He hummed as he opened the list of skills available to him.

He rubbed his claws in the hopes of selecting an OP skill like all protagonists.

[ Skills available:

Fire Shot (F-rank)

Bubble Shot (F-Rank)

Swift Speed (F-Rank)

Ice Shot (F-Rank)

Leaf Shot (F-Rank)

Mud Shot (F-Rank)

------

-----

----- ]

Whoa! There are so many to select from, and many of them aren't Pokémon moves, but there isn't any skill higher than F rank.

His hopes to learn the OP skill from the start were shattered.

Since he is in a world different from the Pokémon universe, there will naturally be unique moves specific to this world.

There were more than 10,000 skills available to him, so he went back to the safe zone.

[ Ding! You entered the safe zone of 'Silver Serpents Dungeon' ]

He opened the interesting skill's description to decide after making himself comfortable.

[ Lesser Strength Boost (F-Rank):

Grants a boost in strength upon use. And the boost depends on the proficiency of the skill.

[ Lesser Agility Boost (F-Rank):

Grants a boost in speed upon use. And the boost depends on the proficiency of the skill.

----

[ Soft Light (F-Rank):

Upon use, healing energy is generated, which heals users from minor injuries ]

-----

[ Fire Shot (F-Rank):

A small amount of fire is released from the user's mouth to attack the opponent ]

----

[ Bubble Shot (F-Rank):

The user can create a large bubble made of water upon activating this skill ]

-----

[ Spark (F-Rank):

The user generates a small amount of electricity from their body to attack the opponent.]

----

[ Strong Claw (F-Rank):

The user's claw is enhanced by energy, allowing the user to cut apart ordinary materials ]

----

He looked at many skill descriptions for more than 10 days, but he still didn't reach the end of the list.

Luckily, there was a selection option at the top. He selected them to rank them by strength so that he wouldn't miss powerful skills.

Spark was in first place as it was strongest in terms of power.

After more than five days.

He selected 'Spark' for attack, 'Lucky Aura' as an auxiliary, and finally 'Flutter Step' for movement.

[ Flutter Step (F-Rank):

The user moves in a weird way upon use and gains a little boost in speed upon activating this skill ]

[ Ding! You have selected 'Spark', 'Lucky Aura', and 'Flutter Step' ]

 [ Skills:

Slot 1: Spark (F-rank)

Slot 2: Lucky Aura (F-rank)

Slot 3: Flutter Step (F-Rank) ]

There were many useful skills, but sadly, only three slots were available.

Kiran felt itchy when he looked at some skills, but he could only select which were best for him.

He looked at one broken skill, which was just ranked F, but he didn't select it as it couldn't help in his fight.

[ Fortune Finder (F-rank):

The user can sense the treasures near them upon activating ]

He wanted to rush out of the dungeon as soon as possible, which affected his skill selection.

Fortune Finder isn't as useful in his fights as Lucky Aura; it can increase his luck, which can turn the tide in his fight, and it is useful in many ways.

What? Only one time per week and it requires 50 SP.

He almost jumped in shock as he looked at his skill description.

[ Lucky Aura (F-rank):

When used, the user gains a little luck.

Can be used only once per week

 Required SP: 50 ]

System was hiding some details, tempting people to select them.

He selected it, thinking it was a broken skill, but it could be used once per week.

I don't know whether Fortune Finder is still a broken skill or not.

He wondered as he figured out the system's trick.

He was quite lucky, as he didn't select the skills that were looking OP, as the system made many creatures powerless by sending those skills.

Now it's time to train skills.

He looked at the skill proficiency.

[ Skills:

Slot 1: Spark (F-Rank)

 Level 1: 0/10

 SP Requirement: 10 ]

"Spark ( Eevee)." He shouted excitedly.

Soon, his SP decreased, and a small golden light ray was generated from his body.

He aimed those light rays at the purple crystal.

Gzzz!

The light rays hit the purple crystal directly, but there wasn't even a scratch on that crystal.

[ Ding! You used 'Spark'

+ 1 Proficiency

-10 SP ]

He activated Spark once again, but nothing happened.

Huh? Just one time

[ SP: 0/10 ]

He just realized how low his SP was. Using 'Spark' one time was enough to empty his SP.

He didn't care as he shattered the purple crystal in his claw.

[ Ding! You are fully healed ]

"Spark (Eevee)." He shouted, wanting to continue his training.

Huh? Where are those light rays?

He looked at his plain body, which didn't generate electricity like he hoped.

So, he checked his status.

[ SP: 0/10 ]

It looks like purple crystal won't recover SP.

He understood that purple crystals work only for health.

He then took the energy candy that he got and ate it.

[ Ding! You ate 'Energy Candy'.

 +100 SP ]

[ SP: 100/10 ]

Finally, SP returned. I have to get those candies.

Kiran wanted to get as many of those energy candies as possible, as they are as important as purple crystals.

He then went on to practice his Spark skill.

[ Ding! You used 'Spark'

+ 1 Proficiency

-10 SP ]

----

[ Ding! You used 'Spark'

+ 1 Proficiency

-10 SP ]

-----

---

[ Ding! You used 'Spark'

+ 1 Proficiency

-10 SP ]

[ Ding! 'Spark' skill levelled up!

'Spark' power increased!

 Level 2

Proficiency: 10/100

 Required SP: 9 ]

Lesser SP requirements and more power.

He just wanted to max out the 'Spark' skill, seeing its level-up advantages.

----

Days passed as he got addicted to his training.

[ Ding! Spark skill levelled up!

Spark power has increased.

 Level 5 Max

Proficiency: ∞ /∞

 Required SP: 5

'Spark' skill can be evolved.

Proceed to evolve the skill?

Yes or No ]

-----

[ Ding! Flutter Step levelled up!

The boost in speed is increased, and your movements become more weird.

 Level 5 Max

Proficiency: ∞ /∞

 Required SP: 5

Flutter Step can be evolved.

Proceed to evolve the skill?

Yes or No ]

Now, both skills only take 5 SP

He thought happily while proceeding to the first floor after his SP recovered.

[ Ding!

You have entered the First Floor of 'Silver Serpents Dungeon'

Level: 0-3 ]

He, just like before, ran from statue to statue to avoid noise.

Soon, he came across a lone snake.

[ Yellow Snake

 Level: 2

 SP: 20/20 ]

He tested his skill.

[ Ding! You used Spark ]

Electric rays generated from his body hit the snake, turning its body into charcoal.

[ Ding! You killed the Yellow Snake (Lv.2)

 +3 Exp ]

Whoa! So strong!

He was surprised by the power of 'Spark', as it just took one hit to kill it.

Spark's power is ranked first in F-rank skills; no one should underestimate it.

He didn't waste time as he went deeper inside; he quickly wanted to level up.

[ Ding! You used Spark ]

The burned snake fell dead to the ground.

[ Ding! You killed the Yellow Snake (Lv.2)

 +3 Exp ]

After killing the second snake, he rested to recover his SP.

[ Ding! Your SP recovered ]

Seeing this notification, he immediately went into action.

[ Ding! You killed the Yellow Snake (Lv.2)

 +3 Exp ]

----

[ Ding! You killed the Yellow Snake (Lv.2)

 +3 Exp ]

He looked at his status, as he wanted to know how much exp was required to level up.

[ Name: Kiran

 Race: Eevee

Level: 1

Exp 12/20

SP: 5/10 ]

Just 8 more exp.

"Eevee, Eevee." He said evilly, looking at the snakes in front of him.
