Chapter 2. Levelling up.

Kiran scratched the big crystal in front of him with force.
Sracc!!
It hurts.
His scratch didn't even leave a mark on the crystal, let alone break a piece off like he imagined.
He stopped trying to break it and instead looked around on the ground for small pieces of crystal.
After searching for some time, he spotted a crystal about two and a half inches in size. It was a little bigger than the one he got for killing the snake.
Indeed, there are broken ones.
Kiran thought happily as he went ahead to look for more crystals on the ground.
He kept searching, forgetting about time. Soon, he had more than ten crystals in his hand.
Grww!
I am hungry.
He realized that he had forgotten about eating as he focused solely on searching for crystals, but his stomach reminded him.
Where can I find food here?
He wondered, looking around, spotting only crystals in his vision.
"There weren't any edibles on the first floor either." he muttered, recalling as he entered that floor
Can this reduce my hunger?
Kiran wondered, looking thoughtfully at the crystals, and then shattered one. He had more than ten of them, so it wouldn't be a waste to test one. Purple light fell on him as the shattered parts of the purple crystal vaporized.
[ Ding! You are fully healed ]
"I feel full (Eveee.)" he exclaimed, rubbing his stomach, which was no longer hungry.
Kiran realized the importance of crystals, wasted no time, and kept looking for them.
Soon, many days went by.
This many should be enough.
He thought, looking at the pile of his crystals in front of him.
There were more than 100 purple crystals in front of him.
He held two of them in his mouth and hid the others.
It's time to level up!
He thought excitedly, raising his front legs while heading towards the first floor.
[ Ding!
You have entered the First Floor of 'Silver Serpents Dungeon'
Level: 0-3 ]
As he moved, he checked his status notification and spotted a snake the moment he entered the floor.
[ Yellow Snake

SP: 10/10 ]
The snake's head was on the other side; it was wide open to Kiran.
Which he didn't miss as he jumped on it and pinned its head down so that it wouldn't be able to bite him.
His one leg pinched its head down; the other leg pressed its body so that it wouldn't move.
He couldn't use back his legs to kill it, so he bit it, throwing away the crystals in his mouth, and let it bleed to death.

It could be because he transformed into a Pokémon or because of his hidden, dark personality, he didn't feel much about killing them.

I need to kill three more snakes to level up.
Kiran thought, looking at his status.
The dead snake's body disappeared, and a rice box with plain curry appeared.
Food, food.
He thought happily while not wasting any time as he opened the box roughly with his paws and started to much down the food.
It was tough to hold a spoon with his claws, but he did it somehow.
"I am done (Eeveee)." He said grinningly, looking at the empty box.
It was the first food he had in this world, and he had tasted food after ten days.
He went deep inside after eating, and he didn't forget to take his crystals. He was jumping from one statue to another to avoid noise.

Three snakes appeared in his vision.

He ran away immediately after glancing at them.
Not to mention that there were three of them; even the level 2 yellow snake was enough to kill him.

Snakes spotted him and rushed towards him.
Kiran reached the end and jumped into the portal.

He fell to the ground, taking deep breaths.
He shattered one of the crystals in his mouth by clenching his teeth.
[ Ding! You are fully healed ]
Through Crystal's effect, he recovered his stamina.
"I cannot blindly rush in." He muttered, thinking of a plan.
Soon, a day passed by.
I cannot think of anything.
There wasn't anything in the dungeon that he could use to kill those snakes.
The floor had only statues, which he could not use, and he lacked weapons and abilities to kill those snakes.
Pokémon moves? Where are my moves?

He sighed, looking at his empty skill slot.
It would have been much easier to kill them if he had Pokémon moves, but he cannot get them until he reaches level 1.
No, choice, I guess.
He decided to fight ahead, three of them at once risking his life.
This time he took three crystals in his mouth for safety.

Once he stepped onto the first floor, three snakes jumped on him.

The three snakes were right in front of the portal, obviously waiting for Kiran.
One snake bit his front right leg, another snake bit his back from the right side, and the last snake bit his left leg.

Snakes attacked him from all three sides.
"Eeveee." Kiran exclaimed in pain.
He used his right claw to tear apart the snake, which was biting his left leg.
His adrenaline was rushing through his veins, allowing him to exert more force than he could ever before.
His right claw entered the snake's body and tore it in half as he tried to pull it apart. The other snake still clung to his right leg, even when he used that leg's claws.
The head of the snake fell to the ground, leaving his leg.
[ Ding! You killed the Yellow Snake

[ Ding! You are poisoned ]
Kiran shattered the crystal in his mouth right away once he got the poisoned notification.
[ Ding! You are fully healed ]
He followed the same technique and killed the other snake on his right leg.
This time it was much easier, as there wasn't any snake biting into his left leg.

He rushed towards the wall and slammed his body.
Boom!

He kept smashing with his full force.
[ Ding! You are poisoned ]
He was poisoned once again, but he quickly shattered the crystal.
[ Ding! You are fully healed ]
Hiss!
The snake left its bite and fell to the ground.
The snake rushed out once it fell to the ground and created a distance between them.
[ Ding! Yellow snake used swift movement ]
The snake opened its mouth and shot out a dark green coloured liquid at its opponent.
[ Ding! Yellow snake used 'Poison Shot' ]
Kiran dodged by jumping to the side, reacting quickly as some disgusting liquid appeared in the snake's mouth once it opened wide.
He looked back at the place where the liquid fell; green bubbles appeared from it, and a burning sound started to echo from the liquid.
He looked nervously at the snake, as he couldn't dodge that same kind of attack in point blank range.
If he gets hit by that attack, his skin will be peeled off.
I am glad that I didn't get hit by this attack while running before.
He thought with relief.
It was because he wasn't in the range that the snake didn't use 'Poison Shot'.
Hiss!
Kiran and Snake looked at each other nervously.
He didn't know that the snake had spent all its SP points, so it was incapable of using that kind of attack again.
"I still have one crystal left." Kiran murmured, as got his bearing ready to feel the pain as he rushed towards the snake.
The snake started to run away, seeing him coming towards him.
It is running away!
He was surprised to see the snake running away, but soon he caught up with it and killed it by tearing it apart with his claws.

Finally, I can have some skills. I hope that they have 'Hyper beam' and 'Giga impact'.
He was thinking happily while smiling, as he just now felt the power of a skill.
Before selecting the skills, he looked at the dead bodies to collect the loot.
For the level 2 yellow snake, he got coke; for the other two level 1 snakes, he got one rice box, and the other was energy candy.
