A young man with a handsome face, beloved by others and famous among young women (as well men??). Many respect him for his good and well-behaved personality. He has a good relationship with merchanty1 and Smith, benefits of befriending him are that you get a 10% offer if you state you were his friend. It seems he like Lanka.

'!!' his face changed when reading the notification that show in front of him. What did it mean by pet!?

"Well, it seems he regards himself as a pet for you Lanka...." Bun explain to him, he seem to read his mind about the meaning that the notification was trying to state what happens.

"But...this is good it seems he wants to help us... so win-win situation for me if you ask~" Bun seems to be happy since they can get a roof over their head to stay tonight.

"Yeah, plus I'm staying alone...unlike others, they are with their family as for Emilie she was staying in the dorm which the tenant didn't permit to invite people to stay...." he explains it briefly like it was nothing.

"If you said so...then ok..." inside Lanka's head was, why he had to say about Emilie, even if he can stay with her. It was a bad idea to be alone with a woman.

Little did he know that Ren sees him as a girl, not a man...

Suddenly, a massive yet delicate hand grab his. Ren drags Lanka after getting the agreement from him to stay with him tonight. Inside the heart of the warriors were filled with flowers from hearing the answer. He can't contains the excitement of having the person that caught his heart stay with him. He walks faster than usual and drags him around the town toward his home.

The people who were still in the street see them, and a lot of those people would greet Ren and ask where they went. He would reply said that they headed to his home. Some smile seeing the scene, since everyone can see the way they were right now is similar to a lover. It was a lovely sight to see the warrior's face smiling and blushing at the same time.

His heart beating fast and he seems short of breath from it, he needs to tell Ren that they no need to rush. "Whoa...Ren slow down...I can't walk faster like you." Lanka was having difficulty following the warrior's steps as he keep fasting his movement.

"Sorry Lanka, but we are almost there so hang in there..." he looks focused on his guide to bring him home with him.

"Plus it would be great to learn more about you Lanka!" he smiled at the witch who seem to be shy from his straightforward intention.

As they arrive at the house that is a bit far from the main road. It was a lovely small cottage house. Ren open the door and the room lit up suddenly it seemed there was a magic item that was used if there were people inside the house.

"We here...my little house if I not on an adventure..." Ren introduces his house to him.

Lanka step in and was amazed by the inside. It was small on the outside but still, it was a cozy place with minimal furniture there. Bun also seems to be amazed by it as well.

"It was nice..." Lanka said it to Ren, who finds it as a compliment. He was proud of it since he was living alone and he the only one been keeping the house clean after back from his adventures.

"Don't be shy Lanka sit down...I make you some food! you probably not eaten yet since we departed to do our job before...." Be went to the kitchen that was not far from the living room it was more like a small corner with a little stove and place to cook.

Lanka accept the offer and sit at the dining table that was set in the living room. He look at the rabbit doll and was thinking that this world was very unique in its way. Bun look at him and look as if he was clueless. He put the bunny on the table and stare at it. He never think that his life would change to this. If he know, he would do it a long time ago...

"Why do you look at me like that?" Bun was scared that his master was mad, but from what he can see that there was a bit of sadness in that eye.

"Nothing..."

"Hmm?? what you said, Lanka..." Ren brought with him two bowls of stew, inside it two slices of bread had been put on top. He serves it to him and even brings a jar of water as well as glass to be poured into it.

" Here my special stew the Wendigo rabbit!! I manage to catch it before saving you Lanka!" he smirk at his hunt today was a success. " It took me an hour to catch it since they were silent and fast! Also, it was hard to get..." he scoop the stew with a spoon and took a big bite of it. His eye twinkle with excitement from the goodness of the taste that tickles his taste buds.

Lanka smell the stew, it indeed looked delicious and the smell from it did make his tummy rumble. He also scoops it and put it inside his mouth, the meat when touched. It burst with many flavors and spices that were never tasted before. He happily take another bite and keep eating the stew that was served to him.

"It's delicious, right? I'm glad you like it, Lanka, ~" he was proud of his stew, and seeing Lanka eat that make him even happier.

He continued eating as well but, at the same time, he sneak a peek at him. He used to eat alone when back from any quest he had done. This time to be able to eat with someone is nice for a change in his life.

Lanka finishes the bowl but he still feels hungry. He look at Ren and was afraid to ask more...

Ren saw those eyes, looking like a puppy that was pleading for more food at him. " There plenty of you want...just add more from the kitchen. I'm not going to be mad...I'm happy that you finish it all." he smirks at him.

After the fine dinner they have the both of them have a pleasant talk. Ren teaches him about the world more as he listens to it carefully, He also asks about some of the history of this world to know better and understand if it was similar to the same as he play the game. He find that it was a bit similar but at the same time, it wasn't. He just keep inside himself that he need to learn a lot since he was going to live in this world.

"So is there anything you don't know just ask..." Ren who just finish explaining looks at him. He can see that Lanka was in his world and thinking very hard right now.

"I was wondering...."

Lanka who was awake from his deep thoughts was now focused on the man that was sitting in front of him.

"Why were you in the forest alone before?... it's a good thing I was nearby when it happen."

Lanka just smile at his remark and look away.

"Ehem...I'm sorry I didn't mean to be rude...but if you don't mind share about it?" He was ashamed of himself and decide to talk seriously to him.

"It's because your level is still 1 and you were fighting a monster that was higher than your current...you can be killed by it."

"Well, I got lost and I don't remember what happen...the first thing I saw is that monster and it attack me..."

Lanka pause from further talking a bit...

"so I need to protect myself from it...."

He continued to say that as his face showed sadness. He remember that he was already dead and then coming here was a miracle. He almost forgot the reason he was here before since he was having so much fun learning about this world. He was sad that he had to leave the world he knows but at the same time, he was glad.

Bun saw those and he know that his master was not in a good mood after been ask about them.

"Lanka..."

"I didn't know you lost your memory...I'm sorry." Ren feel guilty for asking those and he sincerely apologized for his actions.

"That's why you ask those questions at Owen and me... it's alright I try my best to help you with all that I know..." He shows that he seems ready to serve him, His confidence was needed to praise and cause him like a fool to others with those facial expressions.

It causes Lanka to giggle from his fooled way and those cause him to laugh as well.

Ren see that his logic was right but... everyone knows that any level 1 must go to green plain for training and fight a slime to level up...but he was kind of impressed by his guts and also his attack was stronger than any other person's that was on the same level as him. That magic was filled with stronger mana and he can sense it from the way Lanka use it when they were fighting those silver wolves.

"What kind of quest that you about to do Lanka?" He asks him after that. He suddenly remembers that Lanka was holding the quest paper in his hand. He was curious about what he was going to do since he was alone there.

"It's a quest about picking a certain flower in Hillen Mountain..." He show the quest paper, which shocked Ren because the paper stated SSS+ grade quest. He look at this beautiful girl that sit in front of him...no wonder he felt those spells she had done were something he never see. She was a grade SSS+ adventure, which most strong. They said that even with low levels their mana or strength was different than another grade.

He was even interested in him...

"How about I'm joining you on your quest tomorrow!!"

"Plus I can protect you since you are still Level 1... it's better to have someone that stronger with you!" Ren said it excitedly as he express his wish to join his quest.

"We can be a party!"

"Are you sure? does your party need you?" Lanka was hesitant with his request and he know that he also have work. To help him like this is a bit of a burden that he felt since he knows that Ren is a very popular person.

"Sure and it alright...I'm only tagged with them from time to time...I usually work by myself!" He said those proudly.

'It seems he was strong to do a quest just like that.'

"If you said so then, I'm happy that you want to help me..."

The night ended with them agreeing to go on the quest together...

That night Lanka dreams of a distant yet familiar face. A woman where a white dress was smiling at him. In that dream he was a happy boy, that woman was his mother. His mother came and bring a gift for him, she got to his height level by squatting. His mother gifted him a present which he cherishes the most. It was...

Mini theater...

The wendigo rabbit was been introduce in this chapter, the name of the rabbit was gain from the a mythological creature or evil spirit originating from the folklore of Plains and Great Lakes Natives as well as some First Nations. The reason it was named from the creature is because the rabbit was fast and hard to catch as it only out at night. If they were been seen on daylight it was said to be a lucky day to the person who witness the creature. The rabbit have hollow eye that said it eat the human soul who dare to meet the eye of this creature.
