11 Chapter 11

"I will take it from here. Go and rest."

I say to the middle-aged man who is preparing to take on the Heretic God. He nods his head and says.

"Thank you, Your Highness!"

The man thanks me and runs away from the battlefield.

"Thief! Cursed Existence! Abomination! How dare you show your face in front of me! Your blood shall be the nourishment for the land!"

I take Reid out of its sheath and point it at the Heretic God in front of me. I did not have any memory of Reid getting out of its sheath this frequently, but then again, Re: Zero World did not have any god like this one.

"By the might of scales, by the power of tide,"

"I call forth my armor, protector, and guide."

"From the depths of the Nile, ancient and wide,"

"Rise, O armor of Sobek, your Lord calls you!"

I can see his body glow in golden light. A second later, his Anhk changes into Khopesh, a sickle-shaped sword.

"Come! Come and face the might of Sobek!"

I grin and jump at him. I kick the air and dodge to the left when I see him swing his sword at me. However, as I dodge the attack, my body gets thrown away, and a slash wound appears on my body.

I look at the blood on my body, look at the Heretic God who is laughing at me. What is happening? Wait. Now I know. A new Divine Protection called [Divine Protection of the Unseen], which lets me see through anything that is invisible.

I can see an invisible clone of Sobek standing next to him. This being has a water-like body with the same features as Sobek. When he attacks him, the invisible clone also attacks me to create a quick second attack.

"Have you known fear, fool?! This is the power of Sobek!"

Sobek roars and dashes at me. I stand my ground, block his attack with my sword, and jump away from him. I take a deep breath and say.

"O Gate of the Boundaries, I call your power!"

"From the shadow of the Void, I call thee!"

"This is the forbidden gate! The unreachable gate!"

"Come! The Gate between worlds! Come and protect your Lord!"

After finishing the chant, a gate appears in front of me, and I dash forward. I suck a large amount of mana from the air, swing my sword at Sobek. A beam of destruction shoots out of my sword and flies at Sobek.

Sobek raises his scepter, creating a barrier. Yet, my attack pierces through, hitting him. But to my surprise, he laughs because my attack did nothing to his body. He points his sword at me and says.

"Your attack may be powerful, but it cannot pierce through my armor, Abomination!"

That means I need to use Reid to pierce it. I need to get close.

I dash forward with all my might, and when I see him attacking me, I let his sword hit my barrier. I focus my vision on his left shoulder. When his sword hit my barrier, his shoulder got a deep gash from the attack.

I can see Sobek look at me in surprise, and I use this to get close to him. I thrust my sword and saw the armor Sobek called to protect him from the fight against Reid. Reid is a Divine Weapon, which means it is the same rank as Divine Authority. My mana attack cannot pierce through the armor because it is not a divine attack, but Reid is different.

My sword manages to pierce through his armor, and I keep swinging it to create as many injuries as possible. I ignore his scream as I continue to swing my swords. However, before I can do the finishing blow, he makes a roar so powerful it throws me to the ground.

I can see him glaring at me. His eyes glow red, and he releases massive bloodlust into the air. However, instead of attacking me, start to chant.

"O Father! Your child asks for your power!"

"O Set! Release the seal within me! Bless me with your power!"

"O Mother! Embrace your child once again!"

"O Neith! Mold me into the image you always have!"

I shield my eyes as a very strong wind blows anything in its path. I hold my ground and swing my swords to cut through any debris and chunks of the building flying toward me. Is this the power of Set? He is the God of Chaos, Desert, Storm, and Violence.

Sobek is the son of Set and Neith. That means he can access a small portion of their power, and now, according to his word, he can access both his father's and mother's power.

I widen my eyes when I see a giant crocodile appear in Sobek's place. The golden crocodile he summoned earlier disappeared, getting absorbed by him. If the crocodile from before is big, this thing is colossal. It is ten meters tall and a hundred meters long.

Sobek looks at me and roars. I widen at the massive whirlwind coming at me. I absorb mana in the air and swing my sword at the incoming attack. However, after I slash the whirlwind, Sobek appears in front of me.

How can something that massive move that fast?!

His mouth opens up, and he bites me. His teeth grind against my Authority, and I widen my eyes when I see his teeth make my authority crack. I quickly leave before he can destroy my authority.

When I see him charging once again, I prepare to slam him once again, but before it can reach me, seven blue arrows hit him and stop him. I look to the side and see Liliana arrive on the battlefield and take a position in a nearby building with David's Bow in her hand.

I give her a nod and dash forward. I command my Kraken to hold Sobek down, and I appear in front of the giant crocodile. Reid shines in power, and I thrust my sword at the giant Crocodile. However, Sobek's scales stopped my sword instead of piercing its thick skin.

I raise my sword when I see Sobek's tail fly at me. The impact throws me to the building a hundred meters to the side.

"Your Highness! Are you okay?!"

I can see Liliana land in front of me. Ah, it looks like I landed inside the building Liliana uses.

"My sword cannot penetrate his skin. Do you know anything about this?"

Liliana nods her head and says.

"Sobek is known as the creator of the Nile River. After activating his authority, Sobek is now in his primordial chaos form. Neith is the Goddess of the Primordial Cosmos, and Set is the God of Chaos; the combination of those two powers turns him into a primordial crocodile, the divine beast that appears at the creation of the Earth."

"That is good and all, but can you tell me how to pierce his scales?"

"Ah, yes! We need to separate him from his source of power: the Nile River, as it is the source of life in Egyptian Mythology."

"Right. Gotcha. Liliana, can you distract that giant lizard so my Kraken can get him to the land."

"But, Your Highness! Kraken will lose power the farther he is from the source of water."

"I know. I did not need to order him to go too far away from the river. I only need him far enough to throw that bastard as far as possible. Ask the others about the location that is safe enough to throw that thing."

"Yes, Your Highness!"

I walk to the edge of the hole from my impact and see my Kraken fighting against Sobek, who bites the tentacles that keep punching him. I frowned a little when I saw Kraken generate his tentacle at a slow rate instead of instantly.

That bastard can cut through authority on this form. I shake my head, take a deep breath, and jump down. I dash at the struggling Sobek before it can eat all Kraken's tentacles. I jumped at him and thrust my sword.

My sword managed to pierce a little bit of its scales, but it was only the tip, nothing more. I continue to stab its head as he thrashes around to bite me. He roars and creates a massive gush of wind that throws me away and loosens Kraken's grip on him.

However, Kraken uses his other tentacles to grab him once again.

I land on the ground and see seven blue arrows fly at Sobek. They hit his head, and one of them hit his eyes. I prepare to attack once again, but before I can dash forward, a pigeon appears next to me and I can hear Silas' voice coming from the pigeon.

"Your Highness! You can throw Sobek to the west! We already evacuated all the people from that place."

I nod and order Kraken to carry him out of the river to the land. Kraken continues to walk deeper into the western part of Cairo. After a few hundred meters, Kraken throws Sobek with all his might.

Seeing Kraken throwing Sobek, I dash forward with Reid shining in power. If I cannot pierce his scales using Reid, I can use it to propel him deeper into the land. I push my mana and continue to absorb all the mana in the air before shouting.

"Kraken!"

Kraken uses one of his tentacles to throw me at flying Sobek, and when I arrive in front of its stomach, I thrust my sword. A massive beam of light comes out of Reid and pushes Sobek a few kilometers away from the river.

After I land on the ground, I look at Kraken and say.

"Thank you, my friend. Go and rest."

After saying that, I dash forward and chase after the giant lizard. While running toward him, I again charged Reid with as much mana as possible. When I arrive in front of Sobek, I can see him shrinking, and I know that his authority is weaker than before.

I jump at him and see him open his mouth, trying to swallow me whole. However, before he can bite me and eat me, I swing down my sword. The pillar of light slams Sobek's head to the ground and leaves me with a chance to end this fight.

I thrust my sword and feel Reid pierce through the scales. I land on its head and keep pushing Reid into his head. Sobek thrashing around, summoning wind and even using the sand around us to throw me away. However, I hold my ground and keep pushing Reid deeper into his brain.

A couple of minutes later, Sobek stops struggling and slowly disappears into thin air. I release a sigh and release a roar of victory.
