Meeting A Goddess

I opened my eyes as I fell to the ground. I groaned, feeling a sharp pain in my nose, making me blink in shock when I sat up. I gingerly touched it to see if it was bleeding, making me wince in pain. When I pulled my fingers back, there was no blood. Thankfully it's not broken, though it's a bit tender.

I looked up expecting Celestine, and when I didn't see her, I stood up and realizing that I was not in the summoning room anymore. I'm in an endless white void.

'Where am I? What happened to Celestine?' I grabbed my head in pain as I remembered kissing her then... nothing. I should be panicking right now, but something about this place has a calming effect, soothing my nerves.

Not understanding what was going on, I tried to use the main menu to log out, but the screen didn't show up.

I was about to shout when I turned around and saw someone sleeping on a desk. I walked towards them, and the first thing I noticed was that the person had stunning blue hair.

When I arrived at the desk, I found out that it was a girl who was sleeping. She's pretty cute who looked to be the same age as me, if not a bit younger, that had a curl on top with some gem in it. She's wearing a blue vest and skirt outlined in white with a green ribbon, blue boots, and white with yellow arm sleeves.

She was hugging an empty bottle next to an empty bag of chips with drool coming out of her mouth, forming a small puddle. I blinked in confusion, but for some reason, it felt like I should know who she was.

'Juvia from Fairy Tail? No, she has different clothes, and her hair is a darker shade of blue. Uh, Vivi? No, her hair is a lighter shade, and she doesn't look like her. Fuck it, let's see if I can leave before this girl wakes up.'

I started walking as far away from the sleeping beauty as possible until I eventually reached an invisible wall. It felt soft, like rubber, but no matter how much I pushed and kicked, it didn't budge.

With that failure, I decided to check blue-hair girl's drawers for clues. I found some folders in the top drawer, which I couldn't read or open for some reason.

The one under it has chips and more chips. On the opposite side were many small old fashion coin pouches, and in the last drawer, there were many wine bottles like the one she was hugging.

I decided to take the coin pouches and a few chips, putting them in my pants. Thankfully, I'm fully clothed with my in-game clothes.

When she still didn't wake up, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I have questions that need to be answered. So I started shaking her shoulders, but all she did was mumble angrily, pushing my hand away, hugging her bottle tighter.

That pissed me off, so I shook her harder and harder until she finally woke up. What I didn't expect was to recognize who she was when she woke up finally.

It's that goddess Aqua from the manga/anime Konsobu God's blessing on this wonderful world. From what I remembered, Aqua was somewhat a useless goddess that Kazuma picked as a weapon and was always in debt due to her drinking habits, or she destroyed the wall or something. This did not bode well for me.

(Aqua's Pov)

Aqua yawned heavily, rubbing her eyes, wondering why did she wake up. She was having a nice dream of an alcohol waterfall that shines so beautifully in the light, and next to it was a potato chip mountain.

She stretched her arms up and looked at the chair, not seeing anyone, so she was planning to fall back asleep, but she jumped to her feet when someone tapped on her shoulder behind her, which caused her to fall. Her legs being numb from sleeping didn't help her either.

"Kyaa!"

(Back to John's POV)

I flinched at her loud scream stepping back, watching Aqua falling to the floor. That made me smile a little, but I schooled my features when she turned her head towards me, pouting heavily with a single tear in her eye at me. She wordlessly pointed to the second chair on the other side of the desk, which suddenly appeared.

I quietly complied, feeling a little bad for scaring her, but for some reason, it made me want to do it again.

Aqua stood up, coughing into her hand, trying to act like that didn't happen, and she sat down. She reaches into a drawer bringing out some papers.

I sat down on the chair, staring straight at Aqua as the situation hit me. 'It has to be a dream; there's no other reasonable explanation. How can I be here when the last thing I saw was Celestine, and when I blinked, I'm here in front of a useless goddess. I have to be dreaming. I don't want to think of the alternative.' I thought in denial.

"John Connor," Aqua began to speak, but she soon noticed that I wasn't paying attention to her, which is not my fault. I just died, and I left my family behind, and more importantly, I couldn't play the game anymore! I spent so long saving for it, and I'm dead—what a waste.

*Cough cough*

She coughed, getting my attention, which kind of work, making me look back at her, but my mind drifted. I always imagined that I would be sent to a different world or somehow gain superpowers, but I never thought it would happen like this. Is she as annoying as her anime counterpart?

Aqua began again, "Welcome to the afterlife, John Connor. Unfortunately, you have passed away by...'' She paused, making sure what she was seeing was true, and let out a pearl of laughter, ''By, haha, you died, haha, trying to lose your, haha, virginity."

Yes, yes, she is. I bit my lip hard enough to draw blood, keeping quiet letting her laugh for now. I wanted to yell at her, 'I'm not a virgin, you bitch! I wanted to have sex with my 2d now 3d waifu.' However, I'll let her have fun for now. I'll have my revenge when Kasuma comes, and I'll laugh and taunt her ass for being picked as a useless weapon.

It took her a few minutes to calm down from laughing, and she became serious again, ''Ahem, your life was a fairly short one. Nothing too interesting, just living day by day practicing your Chunibyo quotes."

That made me pause, dead in my thoughts as dread built up inside me. 'How...?' Was my only thought.

"I personally like this one, "Everyone knows that the more taboo something is, the more stimulating it is." – Sanae Dekomori," Aqua said, nodding in agreement with a giant grin on her face, making me want to hide under the desk in shame.

"Saving money for a game, and so on," she continues, "But you should be happy. Do you want to know why?''

I didn't ask why since I already knew, but she pouted at me for not following the script. She tsk in disappointment, ''No matter. My name is...'' Aqua paused for dramatic effect as the lights dimmed until two spotlights appeared around her, ''Lady Aqua, the Goddess of Water, and guide for young souls like you!"

When she finished, loud popping sounds with confetti fell to the ground above her. Aqua has a broad smile and hands stretched out with her eyes closed as if expecting me to applause.

When I saw that, I wanted to roll my eyes, but I held it in and only said in a deadpan voice, "Sup, oh great and powerful goddess."

''Hmmph,'' Aqua pouted, not feeling happy at my response. 'It's not my fault. It's just seeing you get eaten by giants frogs kinda ruined your reputation as a goddess in my eyes.' That is what I wanted to tell her, but I'm not suicidal.

''I know what happened to you is bad, but being dead gives you three options now. The elder gods have deemed you worthy of picking one.'' Aqua said, putting up three fingers. ''The first option is that you can either ascend to heaven, the second is you could get reincarnated back into your world, without your memories, and lastly, the third option is that you can choose to be sent to another world where you can have awesome power and try to defeat the demon king! Now, what do you say?"

I thought over the two options, completely ignoring the second one. 'Going to heaven sounded pretty nice, but I rather just go to the new world with my wish.'

"But I do want to let you know that heaven is boring. Just a bunch of people floating around for all eternity! You can't even do…well… you know, that." Aqua hinted discretely but blushed slightly when I raised an eyebrow and told her, ''You mean sex, right?''

She nodded, surprised by my blunt response. I hummed, pretending not to know what she had planned, and asked, ''What about the third option? Is it similar to fantasy games I played? Like magic, elves, demons, that sort of thing?"

She saw her chance and took it. She started to explain, "Yes, exactly like the game you died in! It's under attack by a villainous Devil King that wants to destroy the world. Because of the war going on, no one wants to reincarnate there, leading to a massive drop in their population."

I listened, nodding along. Suddenly, a thought popped into my head, 'Could it be why the population is low, is it because the succubi that lived in Axel fulfills the men's dreams and hidden desires, making the human females less desirable? Could it be a part of the demon king's plan?!?!?'

If so, there's nothing I could do. The guys will silence me if I plan to tell the female population about the succubi, and most likely, the men won't believe me thinking that I wanted them all to myself.

If so, then it'll be easier to seduce the females there, like Luna. Though, it's best to be cautious of the men as a precaution. I focused back on Aqua as she kept talking.

"Because of this, we gods have decided to send young people like yourselves to that world while allowing them to keep their old bodies and memories! Isn't that cool?!" She told me excitedly, pulling out a small pamphlet and handed it to me.

I looked through the pamphlet. 'The Kingdom of Belzerg needs your help!' was written in powerful red writing. Thankfully, I would start in a town called Axel, which has an adventurers guild for beginners like in the anime and manga.

"Um, Lady Aqua? Won't there be some communication issues? Do these people speak English or some other language?" I asked, flicking through the pamphlet before reaching a page with languages on it.

I already knew what it has, but I wanted to make sure. Sadly, before I could read it, Aqua snatched it back from me.

"Well, us gods expected this problem and have come up with a solution! We download the language into your brain when you cross over! Language barrier crisis averted!'' Aqua happily stated while leaving out the side effects.

She waved her hand, a small ball of light shot out and went straight to my head. I grabbed my head in pain as the language was inserted into my memory. I blinked a few times, wiping a few tears that gathered. "You b-, that f-ing hurt!"

"Now then!" She said, ignoring me, clapping her hands and a bunch of cards appeared on the desk between them. "You can pick anything you see from these cards as your new ability, or if you don't like them, I can make one based on your wish. All you have to do is choose, and I will send you on your way!"

She gave them to me, and I pushed them back to her and said, "I don't want any of them. I already have my wish. I wish I have the waifu summoning system from the game, Lustful Desire of the New World without any limits to it with my inventory that can hold all of my stuff and the ability to use any money to purchase more tickets." I felt nervous, crossing my fingers, hoping she could do it. I said it as fast as possible without stuttering, so hopefully, she didn't know I added a few extra things in my wish.

----------------------------------------------------------

(Aqua's POV)

Aqua blinked a few times, confused about what he said. She decided to grant it because most people would take time to think about what they want, and she wanted to relax without them mumbling to themselves or asking her annoying questions. Though she figured it wouldn't matter anyway, people always ask for OP stuff, and she happily grants it, knowing that it'll have a downside to it.

Like a one-kill spell? It only works for the living. An Invisibility spell? It only hides the user from visual effects. Sense of smell and hearing can still find that person.

She gained a serious look and asked him, wanting to make sure, "Is this what you want? Because once I give it to you, you can't change your mind.'' Though in her head, she begged him not to change his mind.

----------------------------------------------------------

(John's POV)

''Yes, I'm sure. Is it possible?'' I nodded with an eager look. If not, I would hug her legs, crying and begging her at the same time until she did it. I wouldn't be ashamed at all since I died for it.

She shrugged her shoulders and said, ''I shall grant that wish for you!" A blue light appeared around me as she started the process of giving the gift.

Not a minute later, it was over. I looked at my hands, but nothing felt different. I looked to Aqua in confusion, and she clarified, "You'll get your power when you arrive."

"Thank you," I said and felt that she was not so bad. Maybe I was wrong to judge her.

"Good luck, adventurer, on your journey to defeat the demon king,'' Aqua said, snapping her finger, and a magic circle appeared under me, surrounding me. It grew brighter and brighter, then suddenly, I disappeared off to a new life in a new world.

----------------------------------------------------------

(Aqua's POV)

Aqua, now all alone again, let out a tired sigh. She sat back down on her chair, putting her legs up on the desk while reaching into the bottom drawer for a drink. She took the bottle out and was about to put it to her lips, but she paused for a second, talking to herself quietly, "It feels like I forgot about something, but what?"

Aqua scratched her head, trying to remember, then she shrugged her shoulders, figuring it's not important if she can't remember it. She drank a mouthful of wine and started to eat a new bag of chips.

Suddenly, someone else arrived, causing Aqua to complain to herself about her snack time being ruined. A folder appeared in front of her, and she read the name, "Sato Kazuma, huh? I'll send him in fast and get my break. Piece of cake." She said arrogantly.

Famous last words.

Author's Note: Quick question, do you want him to go to Konosuba or a different world? I'm stuck between Konosuba and Danmachi.
