Synopsis

This progressive story is about a child known by Basil, a child born into tragedy. After another wild encounter similar to the last, he is somehow transported to another world. However, this world is not all fairies and trolls. It's actually the contrary. Mystical abominations, vampires, tyrannical kings and other grim sights only await Basil on his journey. On his way through this vastly different society, Basil comes along a new comrade, who just so happens to be known as an “Honored One”. Powerful protectors of the people from the creatures of the dark. With the help of his newfound comrade; as well as a apparent eldritch power within him, he will attempt to find his path in this nearly melancholic world. Making new acquaintances and meeting old ones along the way, and also finding the beauty in the darkness.

Dear Desperate Diary, I stayed up all night unable to sleep a wink. This wasn't supposed to happen. How did I end up in his bed. A stranger, a man I wanted nothing to do with. Why am I so naive and gullible. When he said he was just going to rub on my clit at the backseat of the car I believed it. When he pleaded with me to allow him else, he'd get blue balls, I felt sorry for him and even though every ounce of nerve in my body was against it, I couldn't say no. "NO". A word that has tormented me for as long as I could remember. How I wish I could turn back time. How I wish, I knew my rights to that said word. How I wish I could have mustered the courage for it. As I sit to think about it, a lot of things could have been different and better if I had simply said No. When he said I was dramatic, a liar, manipulative, jealous and simply put a stupid girlfriend all the while having sex with a girl "our helper" he claimed, who he told I was his cousin under the same roof. I said nothing. When he told me he got in contact with her and did everything he did because of me I believed it. How was I that strong hearted to watch things unfold? How could I lie awake all night through the sound and smell of their sex and keep my composure and keep silent despite my tears and heartache.

It is stated that time heals and changes everything but in her case, it didn't but unfortunately hurt more and more. what was worse was that she couldn't complain, she couldn't feel emotions and even worse was that she couldn't have any hope of being rescued after taking actions illogically and without giving any thoughts. Well, actions have consequences and this was hers.

Whether it be the passion that burns within our loins or the the sense of entitlement that drives us forward, we have to agree that it is a truth that we cannot deny, we are slaves to our desires. As humans we can all agree that there is nothing wrong with quenching that flame, whether that flame had been kindled by circumstance or belief, we have to ask ourselves, where do we draw the line. As we bear witness to our heroes' journey, we will see that the line is blurred, and that despite his sense of entitlement, he's noble at heart. Despite his procrastinations and distractions, he wishes to change. Despite her nature, she wishes for peace. Yet, the characters don't know what to do with themselves. You agree with me don't you? It's like looking in a mirror.
