17 Chapter 17 - BR Grinding 2/?
(AN: Shannah will have a major Class change. Still related to summoning but you can still call it different.)

In a not so beginner area, were rocky terrain and dead trees occupying most of the place. A man with silverish long hair, violet eyes, and brown skin is running and at the same time casting some spells that caused bleeding and poison because of being chased by several green-skinned monsters, as they are seeking vengeance for their fallen comrades.
World Online servers opened about two hours ago and Shannah is at the area where a player should be level 6-7 as a recommendation to fight in this location. Agreed on, that the monsters in this area are not that strong but if they swarmed on players, even level 10 players will surely be killed in just a few minutes.
While continually running and casting, Shannah got confused about why his level is growing so fast. By this time since the server opening, most players should be at least level three, while the talented should at least be 5. That's how hard leveling in this game.
But this certain individual didn't notice that he is in a 5-hour exp boost because of how immersed he is the moment he set foot in this Virtual World while immediately killing numerous higher level monsters with excitement. This EXP boost didn't come from buying the Limited Edition V.R. But, a compensation for the only player who isn't transferred in thousand of Beginners Village for unknown reasons.
And why won't he took advantage of grinding these monsters if he is capable of killing them? Shannah will explain to Mamako later why his late, at least she will be proud that the man he loves is already at the top 1 ranking in both BR and Level board.
Eventually, players can't access the ranking function if they aren't level 10 yet, so Shannah is taking this opportunity to grind more in this area.
"Grasping hand!"
Yelled Shannah while shaping his hand into a grasp. A shadow similar to the form of his hand launched towards the Goblins while its size gradually getting bigger. His attack passed through each monster that is in a line and caused a lot of damage because of their weakened state.
"About 60-ish more to kill and I'll be done here... Surely there isn't a boss respawning because of killing this many, right?"
Shannah panted heavily while trying to restore his Mana. The goblins are still a few meters away from him, so he took the chance to rest for at least a few seconds. The forums also didn't tell anything dangerous if a Player continually killing the monsters in an area, that's why he did this.

In a few minutes, the last goblin chasing him finally fall over on the pool of blood from its brethren. It depends on a player if he will enable gore stuff while disabling it will simply pixelized the monsters the moment they die.
There is a ton of loot but with the help of the auto-loot function, Shannah doesn't need to pick them up one at a time.
"I should check what my status is... I killed almost three hundred of these monsters. Status..."

Not just his BR greatly increased yet again. He also learned two new skills while feeling very excited about a subclass he will unlock at level 30.

[Reapers Mark - Inscribe a mark in a targeted area that causes fear when foes set foot on it. Greatly lower their Morale while a chance betraying their friends for their own survivability.]
A devilishly smile formed on his lips. The class he chose is certainly broken. One of the most feared abilities in MMORPG are buffs and debuffs. While Shannah has both, and he still hasn't chosen his subclass yet at level 30.
Shannah also decided to check his inventory to see if there are mage type equipment drop. Mostly what he got are blunt and low tier weapons like spears, bows, clubs, and shaggy armors.
"I will sell the rest and at least there is a necklace and bracelet for me."
Honestly, he got a little disappointed because he killed 300 plus of these creatures. But still, he could help but smile because these two items have refinements.

"No extra buffs but the refinement and BR increase is what I needed."
Even though it doesn't have a Magic or Defense increase, Shannah is still happy to have it. BR is more important to him as it will overall increase his stats. Even higher BR mages like Shannah can tank the damage inflicted on him if his enemies have lower BR than him.
What more. The +1 and +2 refinement multiplies the given BR by that item. So his increase is 900BR overall with just those two simple drops he wore.
Shannah's MP completely recovered so now it's the time to meet his lover at Village 6253. Actually, theirs a chat function that both of them can enable but Shannah decided to surprise Mamako in what he accomplished for just a few hours since the game has started.
However, as he was about to approach the Transportation Portal, the ground suddenly trembles. Meanwhile, at his north, a large figure is heavily approaching him, and it's every step is the reason why the ground periodically shook.

Meanwhile in every Beginners Village.
The Village resembled medieval times. Most houses are made of wood and bricks while the atmosphere resembled what fantasy is like.
NPC's and players crowded every area, some chatted, some prepared for leveling while some started recruiting for a party or guild members.
However, the attention of most players is attracted to the three beauties sitting near the beautifully designed fountain.
Mamako, Asuna, and Alice were truly beauties. Players didn't believe at first because they thought they changed their appearance but as they got a little closer to them or simply pretending to pass by, they were proven wrong as these three beauties were using their real appearance.

With a bored expression, Alice rested her elbows on her knees while her palm supporting her chin. They have been waiting for their fourth member. But as they waited, they also are doing some killing and quests for them to level up. Currently, Mamako is level 6 while Asuna and Alice are both 5.
"Are you sure your boyfriend logged in with you at the same time, Mamako?" Asuna asked while looking at her friend's worried face. It has been three hours since the game started and Shannah hasn't contacted them yet. They also tried but Shannah didn't enable the chat function so they aren't able to communicate with him.
Sighing helplessly, Mamako answered. "Yes... We logged in at the same time. Maybe I should log out first and check if he's doing alright..."
"Im sure he's fine. Maybe he isn't familiar with the game yet." With a gentle smile, Asuna held Mamako's hand.
Despite their age gap, these three are certainly close when it comes to online games. It's not like they haven't met in real life, it's just they are living far away from each other.
Asuna and Alice are both twins, they met Mamako the moment they got interested in online games. Both the girls private messaged Mamako and wasn't expecting a reply, but as they woke up the next day, Mamako told them she will be happy to play with them. Now, until this day, the three of them treated each other as sisters. Close sisters to be exact.
Alice also smiled, trying to cheer up Mamako but she doesn't know how to say a joke. "We will wait for you here. Go check your boyfriend if he's still alive or something..."
"Alice... It's not the time to joke like that!" Asuna grumbled. Her twin sister honestly sucks when it comes to comforting people.
"It's fine, Alice is always like that," Mamako answered with a weak smile and stood up. "Okay, I'll return right away if I'm done checking him."
The twins nodded but at the moment Mamako is about to log out, a server announcement shook the entire gaming community.
