8 Pushing towards Rank 2 Lightning and Launch day

As soon as Bryan acquired basic rank 1 lightning, Ares noticed. However, he didn't stop cultivating and pushed forward. "Nice job brother. One day, you'll be a peerless expert. Keep moving forward." he thought to himself. Even though Bryan reached rank 1 basic for lightning, he just showed a smile and kept on cultivating. The storm raged overhead, the winds howling, and the rain pouring down like a waterfall. The two of them ignored it all kept going. After all, this was the last day they had before launch of the game that would happen at 8 in the morning tomorrow. They wanted, needed to get as strong as possible now so they could have the biggest possible advantage at the start. They didn't want to be ordinary. They wanted to be gods among men. Peerless experts. Rulers. They had big aspirations and they would do whatever to accomplish them. Time ticked by. seconds....minutes....then hours. Gradually the storm started to die down around 3 in the morning. The lightning energy in the air started to disappear. Ares pushed harder. he was oh so close to rank 2 . Just a little bit more...a bit more time. At around 3:30, the lightning in the air disappeared. However, just at that moment, Ares broke-through and reached rank 2. Lightning surged through his body as his body and physique improved even further. He was ready for game launch. "Whoo! Made it just in time. Unfortunately, Bryan didn't make it. if the storm lasted for another hour, he would have. However, that's fine. He acquired the physique and will be stronger than majority of the players out there." he thought as he stood up and walked over towards Bryan. Bryan stood up as well, with a bit of disappointment showing on his face. "I wasn't able to get to rank 2. I am just a bit off." he said. Ares patted him in the shoulder and said with encouragement "It's fine. You got your physique and will still be stronger than many of the other players out there. You can push through to rank 2 another time. Now, how do you feel? Show me your fire and lightning elements. All you have to do is use your soul to will it into any shape you want.". Bryan replied "I feel fucking amazing! I bet the girls will be falling for me left and right very soon." A bit narcissistic, but whatever. "OK. OK. Now display your elements the way I just told you." ares said trying to ease his brothers ego. Bryan nodded. He stretched out his hand with his palm up and a 20 seconds later a small fireball appeared. "Good. Now try and change its form. For example, try and make it cover your entire hand like a glove." Ares said, while nodding in approval. Bryan focused again, and 10 seconds later the fireball changed so that it looked like what Ares had done before, the fire covered his entire hand. "Nice. Now do the same with the lightning. Disperse the fire first." Bryan did what Ares said and did the same thing with the lightning element. First he formed a ball of lightning than changed it so that it surrounded his hand. he dispersed it after Ares nodded in satisfaction. "Alright, make sure you practice using your elements after each cultivation session you can become more proficient in using them. get to the point where you can cast them and change forms instantly. We have no more time, so let's hit the sack for the rest of the night. Set an alarm for 7:30 so we can prepare for the game launch. Good with that??" Ares asked. "OK. I'm down. so freaking excited I don't know if I will be able to sleep, but I'll try." With that the two of them went back inside, dried themselves off, and went to bed in order to be top shape for the game launch that would happen in just a few hours.

7:30: The alarm in Ares' room went off and he woke up with a start and turned it off. he got out of bed and put on a white muscle shirt and black shorts before he left the room to wake up Bryan. He was a heavy sleeper so he had to basically punch him to wake him up. as soon as he was up, the went into the kitchen and had breakfast. By the time they finished, it was already 7:45. 15 left until the start of the game. They cleaned up and went into the room with the capsules. They had surprisingly arrived only a few short hours after they had bought them, while Ares was out cultivating the first time. They were supposed to take a couple days to be shipped, but hey, who's complaining? They arrived way early. They each got into their own capsules before Ares went over everything. "So, we will start by creating our character, then getting that set up with the profession and appearance. Afterwards we will be sent to a random starting town. We will use our regular names and appearances. After you get sent to your town, send me a friend request. At that time we will make plans to get together and level up. Agreed?" Bryan nodded and said "Agreed. I can't wait to experience this body scanning thing to create my profession. it better be accurate." Ares agreed with him. "Hopefully. i am just a bit worried that it might not be as our skills are super over powered and the system might not be able to fully scope it out. We will just have to wait and see." Ares checked the time. It was 7:56. 4 minutes left. "Alright put your nodes on, lay down and close the capsule. 4 minutes left until 8. At that time activate and launch the game. Ready" Ares asked. "Ready." Bryan replied. "Alright. Se you in game brother." "See ya." With that that they closed their capsules, attached their nodes and waited the final few minutes to take their first steps on the path of becoming gods.
