3 Chapter 3 - Her First Champion

Broken felt a tingling sensation in his stomach and neck. It started out as a subtle sensation, but it quickly became more intense, almost as if he was being tortured. Tears began to stream down his face as he pleaded, "Oh my god, Lily, please stop it, I can't take it any more!"

Lily, his younger sister who lived with him, was no doubt attempting to wake him from the game in accordance with his expectations. After all, Broken had to log out of the game immediately and go to work.

[The voices from outside the game keep repeating, and the system has allowed a few snippets of information to be passed into the game.]

["Leon… Leon… Are you off work today? I didn't want to disturb you, but I'm worried; you didn't tell me anything before you logged into the game? Are you really taking a break today? Ugh… Hang on, I'll try to figure out your schedule. I don't know how this thing works, but I'm hoping you can hear my voices."]

Lily's voice was now barely audible in Broken's ear, and at that moment, he finally felt a slight sense of relief as Lily had finally surrendered and stopped attempting to rouse him.

"If only I could log out now, Lily." Broken mumbled to himself. "But I can't do it."

After spending exactly six hours in the Spirit World, Broken saw that the goddess before him was now stirring. His face lit up with a smile as he muttered to himself, "Has she finally woken up?"

"Huh?!" Akidia opened her eyes wide in surprise and turned to Broken. "Ah, you're finally awake," she muttered softly, her gaze lingering on Broken's face that bore a hint of tears.

"Why is this human crying?" Akidia thought to herself. "Is he so happy to see me that he is shedding tears? This cute little human, I think I'll give him bonus rewards for this initial encounter. Don't worry, I won't let my first champion down." She reassured herself.

Broken opened his mouth, at a loss for words as he tried to figure out the best way to greet the goddess in front of him. "What's the proper way to greet a goddess?" he asked uncertainty.

"Ah, um…. Good day, Goddess Akidia. I am deeply honored to meet you."

The goddess smiled kindly in response, prompting Broken to stammer, "Hi, nice to meet you too." she said and then let out a light chuckle. 

"You're really something," she said, her hand reaching out from the ground. "Can you help me up?"

Broken then stepped forward and hesitantly took Akidia's hand in his. 

"Here, please come closer," Akidia said softly, placing her hand on Broken's shoulder.

The feeling of her soft hand sent a shiver through Broken's body, making him tense up. Despite his nervousness, he subconsciously reached out and grabbed her waist, helping her to her feet. 

He pondered silently, "Is it permissible for me to do this?" His heart seemed to cease beating for a moment as he paused in thought. "I pray I am not punished with death for having the audacity to lay my hands on a goddess."

"I'm so sorry for dozing off." Akidia murmured apologetically, "I guess I was just too exhausted from all the effort I put into finding the perfect presents for you." 

Broken smiled gently, his heart racing as he helped her onto a nearby large boulder. Taking a step back, he finally felt able to breathe a little easier.

The experience, though brief, felt very great for Broken – he hadn't expected a game to feel so real. He felt as if he was in touch with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen or even imagined.

[One has felt the touch of the great one, the one worshiped for majesty and beauty, Akidia, the goddess of Sloth.]

[It was an experience he will never forget in his entire life – feeling the direct gentle touch of a goddess – a moment that he could only dream of.]

Broken's eyes widened in surprise as he once again saw the global announcement about the events he had just been through. It appeared that he had somehow stumbled upon a unique experience that no other player had ever encountered before.

[He felt a joy bubbling up inside of him, so strong that he almost fainted. The sensation of her soft skin against his own was simply indescribable.]

But Broken then immediately lowered his face, feeling a little embarrassed, when he saw the next notification. "Why does this system have to mention something like that?" he said, glancing at Akidia sheepishly.

Akidia chuckled softly as she looked at Broken, finding him incredibly cute. He suddenly appeared forlorn, tears streaming down his face, and he was clearly embarrassed to meet her gaze.

"Hi, Broken... I've been admiring you from afar for quite some time," she said quietly.

[You received the title "He Who Savored the Fragrant Touch of the Goddess" in recognition of his remarkable achievement of being the first player ever to experience the delicate caress of a goddess.]

Broken's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped in amazement when he was presented with an extraordinary title. He looked up at Akidia, who was smiling kindly at him, and exclaimed, "Thank you so much, Goddess Akidia!" His appreciation for the two great gifts he had just received was sincere.

"You're too cute for words!" Akidia replied with a sweet and friendly smile.

She then covered her mouth with her palm and yawned softly. "Ah... I'm exhausted from all the work I've been doing. So I'll make this short and quickly explain why I'm here."

Broken tried to mask his feelings of joy and curiosity as he took a deep breath and swallowed hard. His heart raced with elation, yet he maintained a respectful demeanor before the goddess.

"Have you ever heard of a God Champion?" she continued.

"God Champion?" Broken muttered softly. His mind raced to the powerful figures of Immortal Legacy; they were the highest rankers, revered for the power and influence they held. Although Broken had never been in a similar position, he wondered if this was his chance to join them.

"Yes, Goddess Akidia," he replied. "Of course I know of the God Champions in this world - those who receive the gods' blessings and become the most powerful in the world."

Akidia chuckled lightly once more at Broken's response. Then she said, "Yes, that one. Erm..."

She paused for a moment before continuing. "Actually, every deity has their own Champion, with a maximum of five people for each of them. However..." 

She started chuckling again and then continued. "Actually, this might be my first experience having a Champion, but I have been watching you for a while, and I believe you are the perfect candidate to be my first Champion."

Broken couldn't contain his elation as he heard Akidia's words - he felt as if he had just won a huge jackpot. This was likely the happiest moment of his life. He lifted his head and smiled at Akidia, his voice filled with joy.

"Thank you, Goddess Akidia - I'm so happy, I can't even put it into words," he said slowly.

"Alright," Akidia said with a chuckle. "I don't have much time, as I'm quite busy. I'll make this quick, and all you need is to accept my blessing. Don't worry; if you ever have any questions, I'll always be here to answer them. Once you become my champion, your prayers will be heard directly by me. In other words, you are the only human I have chosen to be the most special to me."

He stared in amazement as Akidia's body was lifted from the ground and floated in the air. Her white garments billowed in the wind, creating a majestic sight.

As he watched the miraculous scene, Broken couldn't help but ponder why Akidia needed his help to stand if she could fly on her own.

Akidia then descended and gently touched Broken's cheek with her right hand. "Hey, my champion," she said with a smile, "accept this blessing from me, and from this second you will be my extension. Prove that to be the strongest, you don't have to do hard work. Hehehe..."

Broken felt a warmth surge through his body, and he was spellbound by the beauty of the moment.

[The Goddess of Sloth, Akidia, has chosen you to be her champion.]

"Eh?!"

Broken's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the first notification that appeared in front of him. He tried to raise his face to look at Akidia, but the goddess had completely vanished from before him.

"Wait, this isn't a scam, is it?"
