9- Skeleton Archer

Searching for a cave didnt take a lot of time and Mark was able to find one, it was not that dark either as there were these fruits called Glowing Berries.

They were hanging upside down and could extend up to 2 meters to the ground, its berries were gold in color and was glowing, so even without the sunlight Mark could see properly.

The glowing berries could also be eaten but Mark needed some light source so he picked it up for now.

Its not as good as a lamp or a flash light but it was enough for it to illuminate his surroundings, he picked up a total of 8 glowing berries, he could also plant it later.

Mark then cautiously moved forward, even though monsters spawn at night, there are also monsters in the cave, they usually spawn in dark places though it was low but in night time, their spawn percentage will rose up to 50%.

He looked at his surroundings also hoping to find some ores or anything, he also mined stones and it turned it cobblestone block when he mined it, he also received an achievement from mining a stone, it was called {First Step of a Miner} he received 1 Achievement point.

Speaking of everything that turns into blocks, even though the rock he mined looked like a real stone, he noticed that it was actually made of little pixels, well, everything is made of pixel, but the texture and everything was the same as it was in the real life.

'Maybe, the developers made it like this so, players wont have a hard time building stuff' Mark thought.

Well, he couldn't understand other people thoughts, its not his speciality, he is more like someone who loves provoking others.

As Mark ventured deep into the cave, he noticed a stone with black spots on it, Mark went closer and saw it was the coal he was looking for!

Coal are one of the most essential items in the early stages of Alter Online according to the beta testers.

It could be used for many purposes such as making torch, fuel for the furnace, and also some other things.

Mark felt lucky and wanted to mine it immediately when he suddenly heard a whistling sound coming from behind him.

*Swish!

*Tak!

Mark narrowly evaded the arrow that was aimed on his head, it brushed pass his hair and struck the wall he was facing.

The arrow was embedded deep on the wall, the arrow was powerful, he immediately turned around and saw a skeleton archer.

Thankfully, it doesnt look disgusting but a little cute, but it was still holding a bow on its hand and pulled another arrow.

Mark had his body tense up, his character doesnt have the same senses and physique that he had from real life.

His movements were slower than usual and his senses were inferior to his original, it could be said, he was nerfed very badly.

But even with that, it doesnt mean Mark becomes useless, once the skeleton archer pulled its bow and fired, Mark predicted the trajectory and dodged to the right.

Mark then charged towards the skeleton at a very fast speed, he kicked forward to kick away the bow that was aimed at him, then spun his body and sent another kick on the Skeleton Archer's skull.

Mark didnt stop at that and sent more punches towards the skeleton Archer, though there are not many critical damage, he still dealt 1 damage per punch.

Mark grabbed the Skeleton's arm and pulled it away.

And with that the skeleton Archer has fallen, its body started to fall down like a string that has been controlling it has been cut off.

*Poof!

The skeleton body turned into a wisp of smoke only leaving a piece of bone.

Mark received an achievement and a experience point.

"This is great, I now have 13 experience point" Mark said then he noticed the chat box was very lively, he completely forgot that he was live streaming.

Mark laughed internally but his focus was still on the game, he picked up the pick-axe that he dropped earlier and mined the coals.

Mark got a 2 pieces of coals from one block, and there were more blocks with coal near the coal that he just mined.

He mined everything up, and when he finally mined all, he got 23 pieces of coals and the durability of his pick-axe dropped by 32 points.

Mark then continued mining deeper on the cave, unfortunately, he wasn't able to find any iron block, his pick-axe also been broken.

Anyway, Mark checked his inventory and saw the things he got, he got 52 pieces of cobblestone, 29 pieces of coals, 12 glowing berries, and 3 bones.

Mark saw another skeleton on the cave but he easily took it down, and got 2 pieces of bones.

Mark then decided to go back, he couldn't do anything anymore since his pick-axe was broken and he has been inside the cave for a long time already.

When Mark got out of the cave, the sun was already setting down, he immediately rushed back towards their base, he also messaged Chris that he is coming back.

Chris then gave the coordinates of their base and Mark followed the coordinates.

Their base was located near their spawn point, they couldn't change their spawn point unless they have a bed.

Mark reached the coordinates and saw a tree house at the biggest tree around the forest, their tree house was made of wooden planks, and used the leaves as its roof.

The tree had many leaves and were compressed together, so it could work, it could also stop the snow from piling inside their new base, and they saved resources from doing it.

The tree house also have a balcony and Chris also used vines as their stair way up, "Rich guy knows how to save up, incredible" Mark thought.

He climbed up the tree house using the tree vines, it maybe a little bit hard but Mark was still able to climb it.

"Welcome back" Chris greeted him like a wife.

If Mark didnt know that Chris was a guy, he would have married this guy already.
