HIS VIRGIN LEECH (9)

(POV - Sebastian Moran)

"Did you sleep with that reporter?"

My brother's furious voice emerged first before his scowling face appeared as he entered my office.

This was the first time he has visited my office in Barclays since I came to work here.

He took off his glasses, his light brown eyes inspecting my office slowly.

"Did you?" he asked again before shifting his gaze to me.

I gave him a quick glance before going back to read my documents. "How did you get in here?"

"You slept with her? Ludmila Benson from The Daily Wire." His usually polite and educated voice changed drastically.

"No, I didn't sleep with Miss Benson," I replied calmly before putting down the document on my hand. "But I will."

Devlin sighed dejectedly.

My brother normally put up his friendly and polite mask in public. Because being the Chief of the Division of Cardiology at UCSF Medical Center required him to deal with humans very closely.

Unlike my job, being a doctor was extremely hard for our kind... for obvious reason.

I always thought Devlin did it either because he wanted to master his admirable self-control, or he was simply a masochist.

He hated human so much yet he worked as a cardiologist.

To him, humans were just a source of food, nothing less and nothing more.

"How did you get in?" I asked again brusquely. I enforced a strict order in this office, that I didn't wanna meet anyone who hadn't make an appointment beforehand.

"Your secretary invited me in when I handed her my business card. Have you forgotten we have the same last name?" He answered dryly.

His eyes still gleamed with anger but his stiff composure starting to relaxed. He sat on my sofa, crossing his legs while my secretary entered my office with refreshment.

Devlin's eyes moved to my secretary, following her movements closely.

My secretary turned to me after serving Devlin his drink. "Do you want me to push your next meeting, Mr. Moran?"

"No. Thank you, Abigail."

I waited until my secretary left before turning my attention to Devlin again. "How did you know about Miss Benson?"

"From Magnus's CCTV footage." His reply was short. A cynical smile appeared on his face upon seeing my puzzling expression. "Paul sent us an e-mail this morning. You didn't check it?"

Paul was the manager at Magnus, he'd been working for us for over two years.

"Why did he send us Magnus CCTV footage? "I asked with an annoyed tsk. I didn't know Paul had the audacity to interfere in my personal affairs.

"You have to watch it yourself," Devlin replied in a voice that was starting to irritate me.

"Your little miss reporter is up to something... And judging from your reaction right now, it seems you have no idea either." He chuckled darkly. "This is great, our stony Sebastian Moran is getting played by a woman."

We stared at each other for a moment before I finally relented and opened Paul's e-mail from my office tablet.

There were two CCTV footages from different dates.

My face hardened when I saw Ludmila, wearing her red dress, sneaking into my office at Magnus and put something on my desk. It was before I caught her leaving my office.

Then the second footage, taken yesterday evening showed clips of her taking back what appeared to be a big pen from my stationery holder on my desk.

"Was that..."

"An audio recorder," Devlin interjected me.

I sat rigidly on my chair while my tablet replaying the footage. Ludmila Benson took her recorder from my office and went out swiftly without checking my desk or computer in my private office.

So that's why she visited Magnus so suddenly yesterday night.

I had to admit, I was impressed by her boldness and bravery.

From the start, I knew she was investigating me because I meddled with her report on Bill.

That's why I play along with her little game even after I realized she wasn't an escort but a journalist who's trying to sniff around me.

"Nicholas came to my private office a few days ago. She probably heard our conversation."

My brother scoffed sharply. "She definitely heard your conversation. What's with you, anyway? You know she's trying to fool you, yet you're still playing dumb."

"I didn't know about her recorder."

I clenched my jaw angrily.

But now I knew. Though, it's a bit unfortunate for Daisy... I tried to compromise by giving her what she really wanted from me. Yet, it still wasn't enough for her.

Oh, she was so going to pay me dearly.

I was aware of Devlin observing gaze at me so I tried to keep my composure.

"It's either pressing charge on her or erasing her memory, Sebastian." He warned me as if he could read my mind. Or did my expression right now betray my composure?

I frowned at my brother. He could be annoying and right at the same time.

"Would you like me to take care of her?" He offered casually.

My frown deepened and Devlin smirked slightly at my response. "This isn't like you at all."

"I can take care of her myself," I replied curtly.

"You're busy, and we don't know how much she knows. I can handle it for you tonight... I'll erase her memory, and if she fights me I would take care of it swiftly."

I turned sharply at him. "Don't. Touch. Her," I threatened in a low voice.

Somehow in my imagination, I could see Ludmila's pale, terrified face before Devlin erasing her memory and it angered me so much I had to take a deep breath to control myself.

I was the only one who could touch or strangle her. Not Devlin or any other man.

She's mine to punish.

Devlin threw me his calculating gaze, which only made me feel even more pissed off.

"Being territorial... that's so not like you, Seb," he muttered softly. "Is little miss reporter your new toy?"

I clenched my jaw again. "I'll clean up the mess I made myself. You don't have to interfere."

He shot me a doubtful look, but suddenly his expression changed to interest. "Now you make me wonder how great Ludmila Benson is in bed... Can I get a taste after you're done with her?"

The need to lunged at my own brother and kill him came so suddenly and from out of nowhere. I gripped the edge of my desk tightly to stop myself while Devlin's smirk faded from his face.

His expression turned stony. "What the hell, Seb."

My eyes must've changed to pitch-black at this moment. I turned my head and closed my eyes before tugging my necktie roughly, I felt suffocated.

"Stay away from her. I'll make sure she's taken care of after I'm done with her. Don't interfere."

"I have to interfere if you keep hesitating and jeopardizing our project like this," he answered sharply. "What are you actually doing? Nicholas even called me about that Bill Kovach's fiasco. We were so close yet suddenly you decided to throw it all away. You didn't even tell Nicholas — or me for that matter!"

Nicholas and Devlin didn't know yet about my plan to hand Bill to Ludmila.

And why I offered to hand her Bill Kovach... I thought about it repeatedly. Perhaps a moment of madness came over me that night at that charity event.

I thought I would break off our agreement the next day, after cooling my head a bit. Instead, I sent her another daisy the next morning.

There's something about Ludmila Benson that made me want to possess her, to be inside her and hear sweet moans on my ear, to feel her hot body trembling under me. I wanted to taste her blood and left my marks on her body.

It was momentary madness and I couldn't explain it to my brother. Even to myself, it made no sense. But the only way I could get her out of my system was to sleep with her.

I wanted to punish her until she was tormented in pleasure and completely at my mercy, I thought as I clenched my jaw angrily.

"I'll take care of Miss Benson," I repeated more calmly. I didn't want Devlin to mistake my anger with being attracted to a human.

I was somewhat interested in Ludmila Benson... but only in her body. It's the same as wanting a forbidden fruit.

Devlin, who had been observing me with his cold eyes, finally turned his gaze behind me, his eyes exploring the scenery of skyscrapers outside.

He took his glasses from his shirt pocket and wear them again. "I don't care. Just get rid of her fast before I change my mind and do it myself."

"Aren't you busy?" I asked him indifferently, hoping my tone was enough to drive him out of my office.

He nodded curtly. "Of course I'm busy, but I have to come directly to make sure my brother won't do anything stupid, right?"

"Thanks." I ignored his sarcasm. "Since you're busy, please leave immediately," I added, imitating his false politeness.

He turned toward the door and then stopped again to glance at me. "Ah! Did you know Ludmila Benson is Phillip Morgan's illegitimate daughter?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

I didn't know.

Devlin went on after seeing my expression. "Apparently Morgan impregnated one of his housemaids and decided to abort it when he found out, but the housemaid ran away to gave birth, unfortunately, she died in labor. That's why Ludmila has a different last name instead of 'Morgan'."

"And why are you telling me this?"

He shrugged off nonchalantly. "No reason... I just want to let you know about my little investigation. And I heard you were always invited to attend Morgan & Company Anniversary Party but never attend any of it. I thought you may want to try to come tomorrow."

I scowled at him.

He laughed a little before continuing his stride to the door of my office. "See you at Morgan & Company Anniversary Party, brother."
