Impromptu mission

The happy atmosphere suddenly turned gloomy when Persea told the story. The fairy elder's face, which was previously smiling broadly, instantly vanished. She asked again, making sure that she had only misheard.

"Persea, you're not joking are you?" The fairy elder chuckled, her face instantly tightening.

"No, I'm not joking. I'm serious." Persea's voice sounded stern. "One of the creatures of darkness has managed to take away my power while I was trying to escape from it." She kept shaking her head, trying to remember what had happened.

"Geez, what should we do now? How can we restore the crystal light now?" The fairy elder's face paled, a clear sense of resignation on his face.

"Wait, we can help you take back that power, Persea." Asher's finger flick broke the silence.

"But, are you sure? The creature that took my powers is not an enemy you've ever faced." Persea raised her eyebrows, doubt clear in her mind.

"Yes, we are pretty sure. We will defeat that creature and reclaim your power." Chronos' facial expression was firm, with no doubt visible on his face.

Persea smiled at those words, feeling her hope return. "Alright then, I'll take you there."

"Quest 6: The Persea's power (required)"

Persea, one of the elemental elves, lost her power to a darkness called Titanoboa. The creature dwells in a dark cave north of the village of Altaria.

As Asher read the contents of the quest, his brow immediately furrowed when he saw the word Titanoboa. From the name, he could deduce that his enemy this time would probably be snake-shaped and not an easy opponent to defeat.

"Chronos, we need to upgrade our weapons before going to attack Titanoboa." Asher tapped Chronos on the shoulder, a serious look on his face.

"Yes, indeed. That's a good idea." Chronos nodded his head without the slightest hesitation.

"Uh... I'll do my best." Persea bowed her head, showing a respectful gesture to them.

'Persea joins the party.

[Persea the water fairy can help you find items around the arena and can scan the enemies you are about to face, making it easier for players to find their enemies' weaknesses].

Not long after, they rushed straight to the weapon & item dealer. Without hesitation, Asher upgraded his weapon to the maximum level. Not only that, he also bought some items that might be useful in the dungeon later.

'Congratulations! Altaria's fairy wand reached (lv. Max)'

"I think everything is ready. Now it's time for us to defeat that fucking thing." Chronos' eyes burned, showing his burning enthusiasm.

However, just as they were about to head into the dark cave where the Titanoboa lived, Asher suddenly saw the fairy elder in the scarlet hat flying quickly towards him. Her face was tense, indicating something bad was on her mind.

"Wait, don't go yet. I need your help." The fairy elder's voice was breathless, trying to regulate the rhythm of his breathing. "My friends aren't back here yet. I'm just worried they're in danger." "My comrades haven't returned here yet. I'm just worried that they're in danger." The fairy elder's worried expression was evident on his face, his shoulders looking tense.

"Quest 7: Searching for the missing elf 2/5 (part 2)"

Recommended player level: lv 8-10

Reward: 300 gold coins, 2x fairy shoes, 3x bombs,

The red hat fairy elder hasn't heard from his friends. He is worried that his friends will be captured in the orc forest while trying to find the other fairies. Number of fairies to save (5 fairies).

Recommended class: Magical swordsman, Ranger, Thief, Monk.

The safety of the fairies depended on Asher's decision. He never expected that another mission would appear as important as the current one. An indecisive feeling instantly swept through his mind, whether he was going to accept this quest or not.

"Ash, so what's your decision?" Chronos glanced at Asher, a confused expression on his face.

"Well, we can accept this quest. At least if we complete this quest, we can get a lot of exp."

Hearing the explanation from Asher, Chronos nodded slowly. He also thought the same as Asher. They had to get stronger first if they wanted to face Titanoboa, so he felt the urge to choose the quest.

Just before they went to the orc forest, the fairy elder told them that the location of the forest was not far from the village of Altaria. He also mentioned that some parts of the forest were thickly fogged, so they could get lost if they weren't careful.

"Be careful, the orcs are creatures that attack in groups. It will be easier to defeat them if you stick together and unite." The head elf said seriously, his jaw looking tense.

"Alright, we'll be careful." Chronos nodded his head quickly.

After that, they finally left the village and walked towards the orc forest. During the journey, Persea didn't say a word. She just kept flying around Asher and Chronos, hoping to find objects scattered in the forest. Who knew what exactly was on Persea's mind, but it seemed that she wasn't used to having strangers around.

"Persea gave you 1 potion.'

"Thank you, Persea. It's very useful for us." Asher smiled widely, revealing the fine wrinkles around his eyes.

"Uh.... you're welcome." Persea nodded her head, her face slowly turning red.

"Persea, I have something to ask you. Do you know anything about Orcs?" Chronos furrowed his brow, a look of expectation on his face.

"Orcs are one of those creatures that attack using tactics. They are intelligent creatures, so we can't underestimate them."

"Hmm, it seems we need to be extra careful Chronos." Asher stroked his chin, a serious look on his face as he listened to Persea's explanation.

"Hey don't worry, they're just ordinary creatures. I'm sure with our strength, those creatures will be defeated." Chronos smiled, there was no doubt on his face.

Surprisingly a few minutes into the walk, the gusts of wind felt much colder than before. Who knows what exactly was going on, but they kept walking until suddenly a wisp of mist appeared out of nowhere, slowly enveloping their surroundings.

"I guess now, we've finally arrived at the Orc Forest. You two be careful. Orcs might be all around us." Persea furrowed her brows, her face tense.

Asher slowly moved his eyes to look around. Unfortunately, he could not see clearly at all. The sea of fog that was getting thicker and thicker obscured his vision. Mostly he only saw a few strange silhouettes in the forest, as if watching their movements.

"Chronos, I don't know why but I feel like someone is watching us right now" Asher's face tightened, looking at his increasingly fog-filled surroundings.

"Hey, Ash calm down. There's no one here, just the three of us, okay?" Chronos patted Asher's shoulder, a calm look on his face.

"Yes, Chronos but ...."

Asher immediately stopped walking when he noticed a silhouette of something, running fast among the silhouettes of the trees surrounding them. Damn, he can't guess what that figure is at all, but clearly, there was something around them now.

"Chronos, you see it, right?" Asher tapped Chronos on the shoulder, trying to confirm his words.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Chronos raised his eyebrows, a confused look on his face at that remark. " See what?"

Forest full of orcs? Sounds horrible. I hope Asher and Chronos will be just fine.
