1 Jack Luck

Jack Luck is an exemplary student. He has a 5.0 GPA. He never got in trouble unless he was framed. People saw him as an escape route becuase he couldn't stand up to them. They saw him as an easy target.

Jack was orphaned at a young age due to his parents being murdered for a quest. He was taken in by the government and sent to school. If he doesnt pass with good grades he'll be sent to the streets to fend for himself. His whole plan is to graduate at the top of his class.

"Jack your in here again? Who was it this time?"

Jack was almost constantly in the Nurses office, basically his personal doctor. He was quite acquainted with her and she didn't mind having him around. He did almost all his work in there while he was bedridden.

"It was the same group as last time Ms. Kasey. They jumped me after math this time."

A group of boys jumps Jack after his classes every so often. No teacher does and about it since Jack is weak. Jack felt as though even the Nurse wouldn't be helping him out if it wasn't her job to.

"Ok sit down on the bed and I'll be right back." The nurse then left to go grab something and when she returned she had a ice pack and a Stim to speed up his healing. The nurse then poked Jack's arm with the needle and handed him the ice pack before sitting back at her desk.

Jack could feel his body's skin cells healing and was uncomfortable by it. It felt as though he always had a low voltage shock going through his body. Jack just leaned against the back of his chair and waited for the healing process to finish when a boy came rushing through the door.

"Goddammit Jack, I told you to let me know if you get jumped again. You know I can handle them."

The boy who came through the door was Jack's best friend Quinn. He was also orphaned when he was young and they grew up together. Quinn had a very powerful system known as the Hero System. It gave him the power to defeat any opponent who he goes against that has ill intent. This only works if they are too much stronger than him though.

"For the last time Quinn, you don't have to protect me. You'll just get in trouble and I'll still be injured. Plus you have the chance to actually become a Hero when your older, so don't worry about me."

Quinn gave a angry look and Jack as he was upset that Jack thought like that. But being Jack's best friend throughout the years, he's learned that you cant change Jack's mind no matter how hard you try.

Hours had passed since Jack left the Nurses office and he and Quinn were heading home. They were about to leave the school when Ryan, Jack's biggest bully blocked their path.

Ryan was a Senior student who had something to prove. He had the Super Strength system. It was pretty self explanatory, it gave him super strength and the stronger he made his system the stronger he got. There is a downside though, most systems have them so that they are evened out and not OP. His made him dumb. Going back to Quinns, his made it so if he ever does anything Evil, he loses his system.

Ryan was the strongest kid in school, to say the least. He had his system currently at level 8 which gave him a 256x multiplier on his strength. He charged at Jack not paying any attention to Quinn. When he was within a couple feet of Jack he swung his fist at Jack but was stunned when he hit something but Jack was still there.

A loud bang was heard near the lockers and when everybody who was nearby looked, saw Quinn standing his ground. He was coughing up blood but was standing strong. Quinn had created a sword using his System that he called Excalibur. He was a fan of the Knights of the Round Table.

"All those with ill intent shall be slain by my sword."

With one swift motion Quinn dashed towards Ryan and sliced his sword diagonally...but before he made contact Ryan punched him again. This time Quinn flew backwards and slid across the floor before going through the glass doors that were the entrance to the school.

"All right, with that pest gone I can finally deal with you."

Ryan walked towards Jack with hatred in his eyes. His need to prey on the weak was not fulfilled and he was upset about it. When he was directly in front of Jack he stared down at him. Ryan was about a foot taller than Jack who was a measly 5'2. Even though Ryan was bigger than Jack, Jack didn't back down and stared right back at Ryan with determination. Determination to prove that he wont back down no matter what or who stands in his way.

Ryan swung at Jack once again...but hit something else once more. Quinn was back on his feet but severely injured. One of his arms was hanging down by his side and his face was scratched up. He was also bleeding from both his mouth, nose and ears.

"All those with ill intent...shall be slain by my sword. All those with ill intent shall be slain by my sword. ALL THOSE WITH ILL INTENT SHALL BE SLAIN BY MY SWORD!"

Quinn kept repeating himself over and over. It was like he had gone mad. All those who bore witness to him were terrified, including Jack.

Jack was confused by what he just read in his mind but knew that if he didn't help Quinn, he would surely perish. Jack was frozen though, what could he do, he was still the same person. Before he could comprehend what was going on, he saw Ryan getting ready to punch Quinn again.

"Why wont you just STAY DOWN?"

Ryan swung at Quinn but hit nothing...in fact he had been hit. Jack had punched him right in the gut and pushed him back about 5 feet.

Jack did damage to Ryan and when he realized this he rushed and punched him again. Jack was able to punch ryan 10 times while dodging Ryan's attacks. Jack had a massive speed advantage. Quinn did too but he was irrational and charged right in without thinking. Jack was thinking 5 moves ahead and knew exactly when to dodge and attack. He has memorized every students attack patterns just in case if he had ever needed to defend himself in a life or death situation.

Ryan knew he was losing this fight and to avoid the immense embarrassment of being knocked out or killed by Jack of all people he conceded and ran away.

Jack quickly ran over to Quinn once he had the chance and called for the nurse to come over. She was already at the scene as she was expecting to have to take Jack back to her office/infirmary. She was surprised when it was Quinn who needed rescuing. She quickly gave him and anesthetic shot to put him asleep. Once he was out cold she told all students to "move along and go home."

"Will he be ok Ms. Kasey?"

Ms. Kasey looked at Quinn up and down before returning to Jack. "He should be ok after a couple of days. He should be able to walk around fine tomorrow but wont be at 100%."

Jack gave a sigh of relief before thanking Ms. Kasey. Jack gave a bow before leaving her with Quinn. He then turned around and left the school as if nothing ever happened with Ryan. When he got outside though he was barraged with questions from curious students about how he defeated Ryan. All Jack could do was give an awkward smile before running away from all the students. He wanted to get home and rest, not answer questions he didn't want to answer.
