Chapter 66

Seeing it was a Nephilim all along, words of Agur came into his mind. Just like the Seraphs, Nephilim is also a transcendent race. What made them unique was that the nephilim race was a race that was mixed with both angel and demon.

With the factors of the angels, it allows them to have the appearance similar to the humans but their skin has a white and bluish skin tone. With the demonic factors, they also had two horns located on the forehead just slightly near the ears.

They also had light blue and silver hair while having the wings to resemble the factor of an angel.

'Now it made sense why we can't deal and land any damage.'

While Seraphs utilized the power of elemental magic and Demons using demonic power. Nephilim was granted the power to control both time and space. It was unknown how but speculated by the many that it was because of the combination of demonic and divine factor.

'So a named NPC huh?'

It also made sense for Zephyr why he was having a hard time even he wasn't serious yet. It was known in Tensura that named NPCs are incredibly intelligent and possesses overwhelming combat ability.

"Well I didn't expect to meet a nephilim here in the first place."

"Nephilim?"

Zephyr murmured but it was enough for both Ericson and Elquilore to hear which made Ericson dumbfounded again.

"I also didn't expect a human to recognize me but I think it was because of your eyes."

Elquilore stated but he still felt a chill as he remembered the threatening killing intent in Zephyr's last strike and the submissive aura when he gaze at the [Emperor Eye].

He knew that even he was stronger because he was level and tier higher, it was not much against Zephyr.

'What a monster. To think he could contend to a peak Tier 3 like me when I could sense that he had just reached the initial stage of Tier 2.'

'More importantly, he also had the ability of controlling time and using a spacial skill. (Referred to the [Blink] in the Hyperlink Necklace but he didn't know that.)'

Elquilore took a deep breath as he continued to fell into his own thoughts.

'To possess such strength at the initial stage of Tier 2 and also use the powers that was unique to us Nephilims...This one is a monster.'

He tightened his grip on his spear and prepared to attack again. As he was about to start, he was again dumbfounded on what he heard on Zephyr.

"This is going to be pointless."

Zephyr said as his swords disappeared as he putted it back to his inventory. Seeing Zephyr's action, Elquilore became confused on what this human was going to do.

"I'm not interested in having a conflict with a nephilim so we should stop here. We're just passerby so there's no need for an unnecessary conflict."

'Not interested?'

Elquilore furrowed his brows hearing it was just because he was not interested and not because he was afraid. However, hearing it in a monotone voice, he could not sense any arrogance in it but what Zephyr had said made sense.

"I apologize. It's currently my duty to patrol around and I just saw you creating a commotion earlier."

Hearing that, Zephyr understood it that he was currently doing the duty of a guard. He didn't pursue the matter as he could imagine what went to Elquilore's mind when seeing the commotion they had done earlier.

"I see."

"Oh, I didn't expect for a human to accept it immediately. I heard humans were unreasonable."

Elquilore said as he also putted his spear in the back. As a race that was not contacted to a human, he had heard long ago that humans would usually ask some compensation during this situations when they were being attacked first.

"Different race, different common sense."

Zephyr nonchalantly said as he was not stupid enough to think they would have the same beliefs knowing they had a big difference in their own cultures.

Elquilore nodded as he understood what Zephyr was saying. Elquilore then turned his attention to Ericson. He was also impressed of him to think he would be calm when facing a Tier 3 when he was still a Tier 0.

Even knowing he had no chance of winning, he was still calm minded and knew how to support Zephyr earlier without being a hindrance. He calmly concluded that these two were monsters on their own ways.

"If I remember correctly, you said you were just passerby's. You probably haven't taken a rest for long time as around this place has numerous beasts that was roaming around."

"Your right."

Ericson calmly replied in the stead of Zephyr. From the time on their journey, he knew that Zephyr wasn't the type to talk much as if it was so tiring to do.

Elquilore then fell into a deep thought hearing the agreement of Ericson. Knowing that they had traveled from a far away land and traveled for days, he suggested.

"As a matter of apology, how about I show you to our place."

Those words caught Zephyr's interest as he wondered what would be the homeland of the Nephilims would look like. He then remembered Elysia and wondered what would be the difference between the land of the Seraphs and the land of the Nephilims.

Ericson then turned his gaze at Zephyr after hearing those words. Feeling his gaze, Zephyr casually said.

"I don't really mind."

"Then we would like to take the offer."

Without a second thought and hesitation, he gladly and humbly accepted Elquilore's suggestion.

"I'm glad if that's the case."

Elquilore then placed his hand forward as he smiled when he heard their willingness. Magic power then surged in the air as a portal was opened in front of them.

"Amazing."

Ericson was amazed at the scene of the portal. Zephyr was also impressed at it. As both were from the earth where a place that no magic existed, it was a wonderful sight to be able to witness a portal made of magic.

"Just enter the portal and we will be there."

Both Zephyr and Ericson nodded as the three entered the portal at the same time. Before they left, Zephyr glanced at Elquilore and thought in wonder.

'To think they would treat a Tier 3 NPC as a guard, I wonder what kind of race was the Nephilims.'

The moment the duo exited the portal, both of them could not help but admit on how impressive the scene that they were witnessing. The place where filled with buildings of strange shapes that was carved in stones.

The rocks that the buildings were carved from where illuminating a light that gives an ethereal feeling. The lights were reminiscent of the star in the sky.

"This place is very amazing."

Ericson said with intense satisfaction which made Elquilore satisfied seeing his reaction. He then glanced at Zephyr and saw he was still emotionless just like he was in their previous battle.

Looking at the surroundings, Zephyr saw many other nephilims. He also noticed that every one of them was good looking. It piqued his interest as he remembered the scene and atmosphere was not much different in Elysia.

Just like Zephyr and Ericson, the nephilims also spotted them as they stands out among the rest.

"Is that humans and a nero?"

"This is the first time I saw a human and a nero here."

"Yeah, no humans or neros have been before. I wonder what made them come here."

Zephyr heard their mumurs with his sensitive sense but he sensed no malice at all but just pure interests. He then looked at Elquilore and saw the difference.

Unlike the other nephilims on their casual wears, Elquilore wore an armor and he could see that those were atleast epic and unique rated. Sensing that Zephyr gazed at his armor, Elquilore spoke.

"As you can see, I am still on duty so I might not be able to entertain you. Rest assured as I will lead you where the elder was for you to have a guidance."

They went into a structure that stands out from the rest as it was larger. It looks like a hall and an old Nephelim that radiated an aura that was even more stronger than Elquilore was resting on the seat near the door. As Zephyr was curious because of the aura, he then inspected the old man.

Name: Eliazar

Rating: Mythic

Level: 364

Tier: 5

Species: Nephilim (Nephilim Demi-God)

Strength: 29,499 Vitality: 28,409

Agility: 28,543 Intelligence: 30,543

Skills: Quantum Vale (SS), Chrono Magic (SSS), Limitless Universe Domain (SSS), Void Magic (SSS), Divine Evil's Eye (SS).

Zephyr narrowed his eyes seeing it was a demi-god. He could tell that the one in front of him was suppressing his aura as if he didn't, his presence alone was enough to make the lower tier nephilims to fell into their knees.

'To think that there was a transcendent itself living along with the other Nephilims.'

He thought that the transcendents among the nephilims would be separated just like in Elysia but it turned out that his assumption was mistaken.

"I'm sorry for interrupting you Lord Eliazar, I humbly request for you to guide our guests here in Ascalor."

Eliazar opened his eyes after hearing Elquilore.

"Hmmm its rare for you to visit me Elquilore. A human and a nero? This is amusing."

Hearing that the demi-god had responded to him, Elquilore immediately bowed as he then bade farewell to them all.

"You may leave to tend you duties while I'll entertain our guests. Keep up the good works."

Eliazar said as he reassured Elquilore.

Elquilore bowed again as both Ericson and Zephyr also thanked him. Elquilor then opened a portal as he left. Eliazar then greeted both Ericson and Zephyr with a warm smile.

"Welcome players, I am an elder here in Ascalor. My name is Eliazar."

"Greetings to you Mister Eliazar, My name is Ericson and he is Zephyr. Please don't mind our manner as we don't know the proper etiquette here."

Eliazar nodded as he was impressed by Ericson's politeness. He then stared at Ericson for a while.

"It's very impressive for you to be reach here in Ascalor while your still at Tier 0. Oh, it seems that your also a legend at that. What an impressive young one."

Ericson's eyes then lit up when he heard that.

"I have something I want to ask."

"Well then, go on." Eliazar replied.

"What does Tier really means?"

Zephyr then turned his gaze at Ericson. He then remembered that he still haven't done a Tier Advancement quest so it would made sense if he still wasn't aware of it.

He then redirected his attention at Eliazar as he was curious what does tier means to a demi-god aside from the class instructor's perspectives.

Eliazar smiled as he then said.

"A tier means a person's state of being. It means how much you could influence the world and the beings around it. It also dictates your hierarchy as the higher your tier is, the stronger your power would be."

"So it determines your standing in this world and gives you a slight boost of power?" Ericson asked with a puzzled look.

"Hahaha, not just a slight boost but a substantial one. For example, you a Tier 0 were to use a magic spell, the power rating would be at 1 and if a Tier 1 would cast the same spell you casted, it would be thrice the power."

"While if casted by your companion Zephyr who was currently a Tier 2, the spell would be ten-folds more powerful. Finally if casted by a higher existence like me, it would be thousands of times more powerful."

While Zephyr had already knew this, Ericson was shocked as this information was still not on the forums as not many was like Zephyr who had experienced fighting those who was on higher tiers.

Satisfied with Ericson's reaction, Eliazar then said something but it feels like a bomb to the ears of both Zephyr and Ericson.

"Young legend, do want me to ascend you to a Tier 1?"
