Chapter 64

Just like what he did at the smithy, Zephyr cleared up the misunderstanding before it could worsen knowing it would only make him feel bothered later on.

Marquis Phillips then breathed out of relief hearing that Zephyr did not intend to clash with a dragon as it would be a pity if they would lose someone he admired like Zephyr. (NPCs was still not used that players can revive as the game was still in the early phase.)

"So you mean that you're just curious about the dragons?"

Marquis Phillips spoke on what he had on mind as he knew that Zephyr was not originally from this world. He thought it would be normal for Zephyr to be curious the moment he heard about the absolute existence of Tensura that even the gods feared.

Zephyr nodded as it was not technically wrong as he was totally curious about the dragons even he had already met one before.

"Well I don't really know many about the dragons as not much informations were known about them..."

Marquis Phillips became silent for a while as he was pondering what he was going to tell Zephyr as not many informations about the dragons were known in Tensura aside from they were the creatures of destruction as they could destroy anything with just a simple movement because of the intense power they possess. For short, a creature that players could never harm.

"Hmmm. Well as far as we know, there was a dragon lair near the Astarin Kingdom."

'Dragon lair?'

Zephyr became interested in hearing it. Marquis Phillips could also see Zephyr's interest and immediately said.

"Let me clarify. It was never been easy to enter a dragon lair as a dragon has placed many ways for the lair to be impenetrable. So don't even think about entering it."

He also warned Zephyr to not give him any courage to enter a dragon lair as that would only be a suicide. Zephyr nodded as he reassured the Lord of White Tiger City.

As Marquis Phillips could no longer provide any informations aside from that, Zephyr bade farewell and left. Before they could leave, Marquis Phillips immediately said as he turned his attention to Ericson.

"Esteemed Young Hero, if you ever need something don't hesitate to come here. We will provide any assistance that we could."

Ericson bowed in gratitude even he had no idea why the Lord of White Tiger City said that. Not knowing it was because of Heroes Badge on his chest but didn't linger on it for too long.

Seeing Zephyr's departing figure, Marquis Phillips thought in his mind.

'It's a shame that Princess Alisha has wandered around the city to search for him as soon as she woke up after her rest not knowing he would visit here instead. Haaah, what a shame indeed.'

Walking around the White Tiger City, Ericson asked Zephyr what they were going to do as he had no idea about Zephyr's intention to resurrect the Arcane Dragon Hyrkan Lexus.

"Brother Zephyr, where are we going from now on?"

"Dragon lair."

Zephyr lazily replied but that was enough to shock Ericson. Even a gaming newbie, he knew what Zephyr had said was very crazy because he heard what Agur and Marquis Phillips had said about the dragons.

However, he just widened his eyes in surprise and didn't say anything else to rebuke him as he treated and knew that Zephyr was no ordinary person at all.

Opening the map function, Zephyr designated his destination.

"To the north of Astarin Kingdom huh? That's quite far if you ask me."

Zephyr murmurs but that didn't escape from the ears of Ericson. He then also looked at the map and feel into his knees seeing the distance they had to travel.

"Impossible!"

A frown of despair could be seen in his face and Zephyr wondered what he was doing on the ground.

"This would probably take a week to arrive in that place."

As the setting of Tensura was set to the medieval age, one has to travel by foot as taking a carriage was out of option for them as both Zephyr and Ericson were not going to follow any established route to arrive at their destination.

It was at this moment Ericson missed the modern vehicles or any planes of the real world as it would only take them hours if they had that.

While Ericson was despairing due to the sheer distance, Zephyr thought it would be interesting. He also wondered if the monsters on the way were high level just like the ones he encountered in the Great Jura Forest.

"Let's go."

Both Zephyr and Ericson set forth in their journey towards the dragon lair with the goal of resurrecting Hrykan Lexus without Ericson being aware of it though.

*****

After endlessly traveling for 3 days, in a middle of the wilderness, two figures could be seen killing any beasts and monsters they encountered.

More to be exact, Ericson was dealing with the monsters as Zephyr was too lazy on doing it as he found it would be bothersome to do anything when someone could do the job for him.

The levels of the monsters they had encountered so far did not exceed level 40 which was the reason why Zephyr was lazy as he would not receive any experience points from the monsters.

In Tensura, if the target is a tier lower than the player, no experience points or any drops will be gained. It was to prevent the player for farming lower tier entities and avoid the targets of the same tier.

At first, Ericson was having a hard time as he was still Tier 0 and there was a massive level gap as he experienced both level and tier suppressions.

However, as if proving to be the martial arts genius, he was able to deal with them after being able to adjust to the monsters he was fighting. As time passed, the monsters no longer a problem for him and became easy to deal with resulting him to reach the cap of Tier 0.

Ericson felt it was a pity that he could not go back to the White Tiger City to advance his tier as they had already gone so far and he knew that Zephyr would not wait for him at all.

After another 3 hours of walking, both of them arrived in a canyon. After traveling a long distance, Zephyr looked at his location at the map.

[Hovel Canyon.]

There is a cool scenery with beautiful views. The canyon is a rare landscape and would be a famous tourist attraction. However, Zephyr concluded that it is not a tourist spot. As a place that boasts more spectacular views than anywhere on Earth, never be deceived by outward appearances. It is a very dangerous place.

The terrain of the sinuous canyon is hard to move in. No matter how one looks, there is no one in the wide canyon. Not even animals can be found. It is calm except for the sound of the wind which blows through the curved walls that stretch as high as the sky.

The cliffs on both sides are so high that they give the impression that the sky is covered. This causes an ominous and fearful atmosphere. It will make people feel nervous, as if they want to get out of here and hasten their pace, while their expressions gradually become stiffer. One does not look around in the scenery anymore and just walks forward.

It didn't took long for problem and hardship to come. In large and small caves of the canyon, bizzare sounds were heard from the caves. Monsters began to appear after sensing both Zephyr and Ericson. Ericson's facial expression became serious after seeing that the monsters were level 60.

He knew that he would not be able to deal any damage to these mobs as he was still a Tier 0 and gap against a Tier 2 is massive. Zephyr on the other hand wasn't fazed at all. His face remained indifferent even seeing hundreds of mobs began that surrounded them.

"To think I would encounter a colony of giant ants in a middle of nowhere."

Zephyr muttered in a low voice. The gigantic ants began to swarm in Zephyr and Ericson's direction. Both had calm expressions even being surrounded by a horde. After regaining his composure earlier, even he can't deal any damage, Ericson was confident to survive.

He then avoided the attack that was targeted towards. After perfectly avoiding the continuous attacks, he then glanced at Zephyr and wondered what Zephyr would do as the latter hasn't pulled out any weapon yet.

"Now then, let's test something."

Ericson heard Zephyr's monotone voice that did not have any emotion at all. At the moment, the surrounding giant ants began to attack Zephyr. He then reflexively deflected the nearest to him.

With Zephyr's speed, he easily arrived at the first monster that attacked him. Sensing the weak spot of the giant ant with his super sensitivity, he then gathered his strength in his arm and punched the ant.

It hit the gap in the chest of the ant and blood began to emerge. However, it didn't immediately scream in pain as it was unable to. The gigantic ant was unable to do anything as Zephyr had triggered one of his passive skill.

Due to being the first player to become a Tier 2, Zephyr was rewarded by increasing the level of all of his skills by one. With the increase of the level of the [Chrono Lock], the chance to activate the skill has increased and the duration has also increased.

Wirh Zephyr'a high luck, it wasn't hard for him to trigger and activate the skill. As the skill was a passive one that activated by chance, with Zephyr's possession, it could be considered a broken skill.

Stunning one of the ant, Zephyr proceeded to the rest of the monsters. With Zephyr's high attack speed and high luck, he inflicted [Chrono Lock] to all his targets. Seeing all targets stood in place, Zephyr then pointed out his finger.

Suddenly, intense and raging lightning appeared and blasted all monsters that were unable to move.

With Zephyr's high intelligence, he obliterated all monsters with 10 meters around him.

"Amazing!"

Ericson on the other hand who witnessed the destructive power of the lightning that was released by Zephyr, exclaimed with admiration. Well it's no wonder after being able to witness the might of a legendary skill on the hands of the player who possessed an enormous stats especially the intelligence stats.

Zephyr on the other hand was satisfied with the damage as he instantly killed numerous Tier 2 monsters with just one spell. He then thought it was a pity that he won't be able to use it again and he had to wait for more than an hour.

The monsters rushed towards Zephyr without caring to what he had just done. Zephyr simply watched them as he thought that even they were Tier 2, their intelligence was still limited as they were only mobs who act based on their instinct.

Being surrounded again, Zephyr made the surrounding rained of raging lightning as he activated the level 2 [Lightning Storm]. Unable to dodge the [Lightning Storm], it didn't took long for the monsters to disappear before the raging rain of lightning to disappear.

Zephyr received an enormous amount of experience points after killing the monsters but he was still not able to level up. Zephyr felt this would be going to be troublesome as he could see that the experience points needed to level up in Tier 2 was greater than he was still on level 49.

Dispersing the [Lightning Storm], he was about to turn his gaze to Ericson, he then felt a tingling sensation. With [Blink], he appeared in 2 meters in front of him. He then glared at the figure who had just slashed a spear at him.
