Chapter 48

Zephyr was currently sitting on a carriage in front of the flushed face Alisha. Just like the usual Zephyr, no words came out from his mouth throughout the journey. The journey went smoothly as Zephyr occasionally dealt with the monsters that they came across.

Luckily, all monsters they encountered were all Tier 1 whose levels were still in the level 40s. Noticing that the level of the monsters were not so high, Zephyr concluded that they were now in the outer part the Great Jura Forest.

Rita were more than thankful to Zephyr for guarding and protecting the two of them. Alisha thought the same as all she can see was the good side of Zephyr. In her eyes, Zephyr's cold and nonchalant attitude was cool in her eyes.

'Wahhh! What should I do?'

Alisha screamed inwardly as she took a peek at Zephyr who was watching the forest outside of the carriage with an emotionless bored expression.

'Am I becoming weird?'

She thought to herself as all she could see was Zephyr as if some sort of lights were around him as in her eyes, it was like Zephyr was shining. She also felt an unexplainable raging emotion in her heart as it beats faster than before.

As she had never experienced this, she was not sure of what is happening to her. She then looked at Zephyr one last time as she thought.

'Strange. I've never felt anything before even I met the children of the nobles of Astarin Kingdom.'

Her head was in mess as she was having her internal conflict. However, the person in front of her didn't care of what's going on with her. Zephyr just stared at the notification that popped out earlier after slashing the last monster he killed.

As Zephyr fought and killed many monsters and some bandits along the way, his level rose to level 40 nearing to reach level 50. In Tensura, Level 50 is the maximum level a tier 1 can reach as it was another cornerstone.

Reaching that limit, one has to undergo another tier advancement quest to reach the master class Tier 2. If failed, they would still remain as tier 1, unable to level up any further. As tier 1 were only considered an intermediate, this tier were common across Tensura.

If one became a tier 2, one could become an important person as most nobles were tier 2 existences so a tier 2 would be treated with deep respect.

If Zephyr weren't able to fight monsters who had higher levels than him, it would surely take a long time for him to reach his current level as Tensura was designed that players would need enormous experience to level up which was happening to the current player base aside from the irregular Zephyr.

Zephyr also knew that if he fought monsters with the same level or lower than him, it would take him forever to level up which was happening to the other players as they were still farming monsters with the same levels as farming higher level monsters became hard for them as they would experience the suppression effect.

As not all players have Zephyr's fighting style and stats, players cannot contend to him at the moment but that was not certain in the future. Immersing in his own thoughts, Zephyr snap out of it as he heard Rita said to them.

"I can see it. We're near at our destination."

Zephyr and Alisha saw the high walls that is surrounding the White Tiger City. Zephyt then looked at the surroundings as he found that there were still traces of the previous battle that took place.

However, Zephyr no longer saw any monster corpse as it was already cleaned up. He then thought of the last battle before he was sent into where Hyrkan is but then shook the unnecessary thought.

They easily passed through the city gates as the guards recognized the symbol in the carriage. They then paid respect allowing Zephyr and co, to pass through without any hassle.

After the carriage moved for a while, they were stopped by a dozen of knights. All the knights surrounded the carriage which made Zephyr narrowed his eyes. Contrary to his expectation, all knights kneeled as they said.

"Welcome to White Tiger City, your highness!"

Alisha then came out as she greeted the knights with courtesy. Zephyr could now guess what is happening. As the guards in the gate saw the carriage with the symbol of the Astarin's Kingdom Royal family, they immediately contacted their superiors to report that a royalty has came in the city.

Alisha then gestured the knights to stand up as the courtesy were now over. One knight stood forward in front and respectfully spoke to Alisha.

"Your highness, allow me Captain Douglas to escort you to the Lord's castle."

"Thank you."

Alisha responded politely which made the guards smile as they now confirmed that the rumors about the princess being kind was true. Zephyr on the other hand inspected the guard that spoke.

Zephyr was confused as why a captain of a knight was still a Tier 2 while the young seraphs were already Tier 3. He then remembered an important details as the seraphs were a transcendent race unlike the humans.

He also accepted the fact that he was also a Tier 2 Knight as Tier 3 were already the kings. Zephyr thought that the a single young seraph can contend a human king as both were the same level.

To be exact, if the seraphs came out, all of them would be born a king. Zephyr shook the thought off as his mission was now done. He wasn't interested about the reward of the quest completion at all.

He only allowed them to accompany him as they just luckily were going on the same destination. As he was about to leave without Alisha's noticing, a knight stood in front of him blocking his way.

Seeing he was blocked, Zephyr just stared at the knight nonchalantly as he was curious what this would be about. As if the knight wanted to avoid his hostility, the knight spoke to him respectfully.

"Sir Viscount, could you please follow us to the Lord's Castle? The Lord of White Tiger City would like to meet you."

'Oh!'

Zephyr's interest was pique as soon he heard it. He didn't wonder why he was called a viscount as it was one of his titles. He was also a noble that's why the knight didn't show any disrespect towards him.

In addition with his high dignity, charm and karma, to the knight, Zephyr's presence was as if already comparable to a king. The knights then led the carriage to the mansion in the center of the White Tiger City.

Zephyr scanned the mansion as he had never visited this part before. It was large, very imposing, glorious and luxurious at the same time. Entering the mansion's gate, Zephyr watched the in positioned knights in the pathway to the mansion itself.

The carriage then stopped at the entrance to the mansion. All three of them went down, Alisha and Rita's face was filled with joy as they can finally have a rest after what had happened.

Zephyr on the other hand looked indifferent at all. Suddenly, the door of the mansion opened and a man came out.

"Greetings, your royal highness. Princess Alisha, I welcome you to the White Tiger City."

"Thank you for your generosity, White Tiger City's Lord, Marquis Phillips Sebastian."

The two exchanged pleasantries as the Lord of White Tiger City let his guest enter the mansion. Zephyr followed without saying anything.

As soon as they rested on the living room of the grand mansion, Alisha recalled and said to Marquis Phillips of what she had been through on her way here.

The Marquis' expression became shocked as soon as he heard it. He did not expect there was someone who had the guts to attack a member of the royal family. He then swore to himself to eliminate the bandits around the White Tiger City.

"I'm sure your tired Princess, why don't you take a rest first and then I'll resume to entertain you?"

He said to Alisha in sincere tone. Zephyr didn't detect any falsehood in it as he could tell that Marquis Phillips was sincere to Alisha. However, as he didn't care at it, he shook the thought off as he just remained silent.

The Marquis then called a servant as the servant then led Alisha and Rita to their rooms. Alisha then took a glance at Zephyr as she thought he would follow them but was surprised as he just stood there.

She then stopped as she them remembered something.

"Thank you for saving us Mister Zephyr. I will surely repay the debt. Here please accept this."

She then handed something to Zephyr. Zephyr immediately refused seeing she was giving something to him.

"No need. It's not like I intended to save you anyway."

Alisha just smiled hearing him as she thought he would respond to her like this. She then grabbed and held his hand. As Zephyr didn't expected that, he was slightly surprised.

However, his reaction wasn't flustered like one would expect if a princess just grabbed them. On contrary, his gaze became cold as someone just grabbed him without his permission but he didn't show it as all Alisha could see was his emotionless expression.

Zephyr then looked at the stuff that the princess held. It was a ring but Zephyr could feel a flow of mana from it. Seeing him staring at it, she then explained as she knew that he was new to this world.

"This is a space ring. It allows someone to store their belongings inside it. However, the size of the storage inside depends on the ring's quality."

She smiled after saying that. In Tensura, NPC doesn't possess the function of inventory unlike the players. However, they have another method, they used an artifact imbued with space magic allowing them to do the same with how players store items in the inventory.

Just like she said, the capacity of the artifact was dependent on the quality of the artifact. As a member of royal family, she naturally possessed a top tier artifact.

However, players could also utilize the ring. For the the players, it would serve as a double inventory. In Tensura, there was a limit of the capacity of the inventory as it was not unlimited. However, it is different if a player used an artifact like a space ring.

They can store many items in the artifact then put it on the inventory. Even he had many items with him, the player could still be able to store more because of this.

As soon as the ring touched Zephyr, a notification appeared in front of him.

Zephyr immediately looked at Alisha who was smiling at him. He could tell that she was aware of what she had just given him. However, as it was the system itself rewarded him, there was nothing Zephyr could do.

As Zephyr was about to speak to Alisha to return the rewards as he didn't need it, Marquis Phillips then spoke.

"Sorry to interrupt you but I would like to have a conversation with you Viscount or should I say, Sir Devil Slayer."

Marquis Phillips spoke in a sincere tone as he had a genuine smile on his face. As the lord of White Tiger City, he was naturally told by the priests of the Church of Light to help them search for him as they hadn't rewarded him yet.

Hearing his feat from the priests, he was surprised as Zephyr who was still new to this world, managed to single-handedly wipe out an entire group of Demon God's followers along with some demons in it.

It is also the reason why he wanted to meet such promising person especially if that person was in his territory. Zephyr on the other hand remained silent as he found the situation interesting.

He wondered what would this man would do as he was also curious about it.
