6 6. Login and Choosing Class.

1st Jan 2300, 9:37 Am.

Sunny woke up groggily and checked the time. It was past 9:30, which indicated that he can't go to the Gym or he would be late for VWPS launch time.

Earlier today, after 12:01 Am, it felt like the whole world was celebrating, welcoming the advent of the new century.

There was a celebration party on the roof of his apartment building and due to the party noise and his excitement for the VWPS he slept pretty late.

He freshened up and did some light stretches and exercises to keep his body in good condition. Then, he prepared breakfast and visited the VR Forum to check if something new happened.

"Will these people stop posting the same question again and again? Think before doing what everybody is doing like a flock of sheep.

"If the story was really true then the introduction would just contain information about the pocket dimension.

"The birth of the Universe and the Entities along with their history there was no need to introduce such things to us if the story was real. Just give the CEE company some praise for preparing such an awesome backstory. FOOLS *Humph*"

The message had a golden frame and was at the top of the chat. It wasn't drowned in the regular messages.

The message is written by a person with the username 'Princess Milena'.

She must have used the paid message option and by spending a good amount on that because the message was written 11 hours before.

Sunny remembered the username belonged to a girl player from 'Cindy Moon Guild'. An all-girls A-Class Guild.

She should be 18 years old now and she was also the sister of the guild leader 'Queen Cindy Moon'.

Princess Melina was quite a famous keyboard warrior.

If anyone ever dared to say something about the guild or her sister she would roast him/her and if the opposite party dared to retaliate she would go at it for hours.

The chatter about the backstory now had shifted to the discussion of races, guessing the classes, the small information of race changing conditions, etc.

Sunny finished his breakfast and spent some time on VR Forum casually sweeping through the post.

At 11:50 Am, Sunny went inside the VRpod and entered the Virtual Void. There, he waited for the countdown to finish.

Exactly at 12:00 Pm, an announcement was made by Aurora.

"Dear VR users, The VRGame made by Creative Ex Entertainment, Virtual World: Pocket Sanctuary is now available for the users to login and play. Please enjoy yourself."

A login option now appeared in front of the pocket dimension.

Sunny went in front of the pocket dimension and clicked on the login button.

His Avatar broke into light particles and went through the colorful barrier and entered the pocket dimension.

As for Sunny, the moment he clicked login he experienced a blackout and he opened his eyes again in a completely white room with no ending or beginning, no door or window.

In front of his eyes, a character panel appeared.

____

HP=Vit*20.

Fatigue is divided into 4 levels. 0 to 50 - able to exert 100% of state power.

51 to 75 - 90%, 76 to 99 - 70% and if it reaches 100 then only 35% combat power can be used and after exiting the battle or activity gets a 10% status debuff for 30 min.

Class Specific corresponds to the respective class. Every class had its own class-specific.

There are 5 attributes as mentioned which can be increased with Free Points FP for short.

Every level up grants 1 point to each of the 5 attributes and 2 points to Spirit Aptitude (SA) plus 5 FP.

Class Specific= { Highest attribute + (Second highest attribute/2) + (Third highest attribute/4) + [(sum of remaining 2 attribute)/8] }*10.

But its regeneration was not constant unlike HP, it was equal to SA. SA can only be increased through equipment and completing quests.

All classes give 1 class talent at the start.

2 skills are given in the beginning after choosing a class along with 2 SP.

Players can choose 1 skill every 10 levels from 3 options according to their class and gameplay style. They also get 1 SP every 10 levels.

Skills can be also learned from skill books or if an NPC imparted the skill through teaching. Skills can also level up through practice and use in battle or activities.

Initially, every player would have 10 skill slots, and every 5 levels they would gain 1 more skill slot. Skill slots can also be increased through specific items.

There are a total of 10 grades for equipment.

They range from E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, Pseudo-Entity, and Entity.

Equipment above S grades are very rare and difficult to obtain. 5 years into the game and only A-Class Guilds or S-Class Guilds had them.

Some lucky guilds and solo players also had them but only A or S Class guilds had the necessary power and resources to farm them for their guild members.

Quests grades also coincide with equipment grades i.e. they are also divided into 10 grades.

There were 5 figures in the room representing 5 classes. Fighter, Mage, Rogue, Ranger, Magic Soldier.

The first one was a robust figure, sometimes male, sometimes female, sometimes in heavy armor, sometimes in light armor.

The weapon in the hand and the weapon strapped at the waist were also constantly changing.

Fighter: They are basically melee specialists able to equip a wide variety of close-range weapons and armor. In a group, they are the ones to take enemies head-on and the primary damage dealer and taker.

Players can choose 1 main weapon and 1 sub-weapon from all types of Swords, Shields, Axes, Sabers, Spears, Staff, Gauntlets, War Hammers, Maces, etc.

They mostly focus primarily on strength, vitality, and endurance. The secondary choice would be agility to help dodge attacks in a battle.

Once a player reached level 20 they could be promoted from fighter to 1. Warrior or 2. Berserker.

Warriors are basically the same as fighters, but once a warrior chooses the main weapon he can't change it, unlike a fighter.

Berserker is a class focused more on damage than anything including their own health. They can go into a rage mode to do more damage if their health drops below 20%.

Fighter and Warrior had the class-specific stat Power, as some of their skills are dependent on power. Berserker have Rage as their class-specific stat.

Mage: Mages are spellcasters who wield powerful spells, are often physically weak, and use staves/ wands/ rings as a medium for spellcasting.

They normally fight at long range and primarily focus on Intelligence and then some on the agility to run away if a battle goes wrong.

Mage class as a whole had the class-specific stat, Mana.

At level 20 they can choose between Elemental Mage or Summoner. From level 1 to 20 mage players can use skills from all elements if they could get them.

Elemental mages have to choose the main element and 2 secondary elements to compliment the main element or for additional support.

Summoners are casters who summon entities to their bidding.

A Necromancer who can control undead, Druids who can control plant type entities, Elementalist who can call Elemental beings or Pet masters who can raise and control beasts all come under the summoner category.

Rogue: They are usually dexterous thieves or assassins who had expertise in stealth, infiltration, tracking, assassination, disarming, etc.

The Rogue usually utilizes sneak attacks and attacks from the rear. They are quite fragile, and limited to light armor, but tend to do a lot of damage when allowed to.

Their weapons range from primary close-range daggers, short swords, curved blades, etc. to secondary mid-range throwing knives, needles, shurikens, etc.

Their primary stat was agility, with strength as a secondary focus and then vitality.

At level 20 the path for Rogue players are Thief and Assassin.

Thieves are those who have varieties of useful skills like steal, backstabbing, lock picking, trap disarming, stealth, tracking, etc.

They have less explosive damage than an Assassin who sacrifices technical expertise for better invisibility and killing abilities.

Assassins have a variety of debuff skills and can leave a foe cripple or open for allies or to slowly die from damage over time.

The Class-Specific for Rogue class was Stack. If a skill uses the Stack stat then its explosive power shots up by a notch.

Ranger: Rangers are skilled at surviving in the wild with superior eyesight and senses for detection. Hence they are good at scouting.

Their weapons can be any type of bows and traps.

At level 20 a Ranger can choose between an Archer and a Trap Ranger.

Archers are a type of ranger who primarily uses a variety of bows and some throwing weapons to fend off in mid-range.

Trap Ranger fights by setting a variety of traps in their surroundings and that is activated through the class-specific stat Perception which was the same for the Archer path.

All skills of archers have various requirements for Perception.

Their primary stat was agility, with strength as a secondary focus and then vitality.

Magic Soldier: This class is a hybrid of Fighter and Mage.

The Class-Specific stats are Power and Mana. Total CS points are distributed at a 6:4 ratio, based on the stats of the player.

If Intelligence was more than Strength, then Mana: Power ratio would be 6:4 and vice versa.

At level 20 they can choose between a Light Soldier and a Dark Soldier.

Knights and Paladin are classified as light soldiers. They can use light, water, and wood elements for magic skills.

Death Knight comes under dark soldiers and they can use dark, decay, and blood elements for magic skills.

Sunny chose the fairly popular Mage class. The main reason was that he remembered the way to get an awesome class after reaching level 20.

The player who got the class in his past life had decimated an entire A-Class Guild in a conflict alone.

He had later joined the S-Class Guild Heaven's Chosen, which was known for its arrogance and tyranny.

Sunny used his FPs, 4 in INT, and 1 in AGI. There were some changes in his status board now.
