2 2. Resignation and Ranking Systems.

Sunny woke up to the alarm set up in his HoloWatch. After waking up he was first confused to find himself in his apartment.
But after blinking like an Owl for about 10 seconds, yesterday's events flashed past his mind confirming that he really was back in time. It was not some last-minute fantasy he had before death.
Anyway, after getting up from bed, he did his morning rituals and proceeded to prepare breakfast, while catching up with some latest news.
After breakfast, he got ready in formal office attire and headed outside on his HoverBoard. After 15min. of the journey, he reached his company.

UGateway is one of the top leading SMP(social media platforms) in the whole world. Also the same company The CEE got in collaboration with, for VWPS Forum.
Sunny purely got the job in this company through sheer luck. He just happened to crack the interview while trying to randomly answer some questions.
Since the interview was handled by a pre-programmed website along with some character checks by doing background checks, he barely got the job with the lowest payment.
After that, he tried hard to catch up to the standards while maintaining his job.
This time he doesn't need to grind lessons in his mind since he already remembered everything he learned in his past life. He didn't even need it that much since he is going to resign today.
After reminiscing a little bit about his 7 years at this place, Sunny stepped inside the building, he took the lift to the 16th floor, where his Team leader's office is.
He works on the 7th floor. The building has a total of 25 floors. Below 15 are for employees of various departments and staff members.
Above the 15th-floor various Team leaders and Department heads work in their own offices. After knocking twice on the door of his team leader's office, he waited patiently.
"Come in."
A slightly rough voice sounded out from inside the office. Sunny entered the office room. Straight ahead, there is a table that has various data statistics in holographic images floating above it.
He can't read them as they are facing the opposite direction. On the opposite side of the table, a middle-aged person was sitting in his chair, who was looking at Sunny through the images, as their transparency was now reduced.
He is Raghav Mishra, Sunny's team leader. He is a 46-year-old middle-aged man. Has a goatee beard and short wild hair.
Fairly handsome and popular among the newbie female employees. He doesn't show much emotion at work, except a faint smile that makes him appear somewhat approachable.
"Oh Sunny, what a pleasant surprise! You never took the initiative to come here. So, what brings you here today?"
"Sir Raghav, I want to resign." Sunny replied in a polite but blunt way. He is after all a man of few words.
The faint smile on Raghav's face froze for a moment at those words. He recollected himself and after seeing that Sunny is completely serious and said one word. "Why?"
Raghav was confused about why Sunny decided to leave as he knows exactly how he got the job.
"I want to be a full-time gamer in VWPS. I want to earn more and I can't do it here, since I don't have much talent and qualifications in this."
Sunny decided to be straightforward and told the truth since he was not good at coming up with a plausible lie and making it believable.
Raghav was stumped. He didn't expect this to be the reason. He tried sometimes trying to dissuade him to leave such reckless thoughts and gambling everything in a game.
After all, he doesn't know the immense popularity the game will have and how Sunny, a newbie who had not played VRGame till now, will have a future in it.
Raghav is also somewhat reluctant to just part with a good employee. He was after all Sunny's supervisor from the start.
He liked the kid and he even planned to use one of the 2 promotion recommendations on Sunny at the start of the new year. But seeing that Sunny is adamant about his decision he gave up.
He can't force him to stay in the company as his starting 2-year contract is already over on 20th Dec. The contract hasn't been renewed yet, it was reserved to be done at the start of the new Century.
Raghav said "Since you have already decided, I just wish you luck. But if you can't find much success and need a new job, contact me and I might be able to get you one in some local company. Take Care."
"Thank you for everything!" Sunny accepted the goodwill as he felt the kind intentions of his team leader and he couldn't help but thank his lucky stars for getting such a good supervisor.
He remembered a certain incident that will stress the middle-aged man for months soon, which is also related to VWPS. Sunny immediately decided to do his best to help him when the time comes.
After that Sunny left the office building. He boarded his HB (HoverBoard) and went to roam around the city. He felt free from the confinement of the hospital.
Since yesterday was Christmas, the atmosphere around the city felt joyful and full of life. As the money hub of IDH .02 city was a really beautiful place.
The skyscrapers, the beautiful parks full of greenery, the occasional passing of HoverCars and HoverBikes.
And also the advertisement panels that are full of pictures describing VWPS' backgrounds, some occasional filer clips, etc.
One particular screen was playing a live interview of a Pro-Player. Sunny heard some dialogue between the 2 parties as he was passing by.
"So Mr. Mario Wrath, what did your guild {Mario Brotherhood} decide about VWPS?" The Interviewer who is also a VRgames player Kailey Cross asked Thomas Andre AKA. Mario Wrath, scion of the Andre Pharma Giant, Fighter class Broadsword Warrior.
"We are gonna enter the VWPS and this time we will enter the ranks of S-Class Guilds." Proclaimed Thomas with a confident look on his face. Sunny hears this statement as he passes by the particular panel.
He then remembers the specific details of the Guilds rankings. This ranking contains the Guilds from all over different ongoing Games.
However, he knows for sure that all the top guilds will join VWPS shortly. That's when the competition between the guilds became extremely fierce.
Anyway, Guilds ranking is classified into 5 ranks D, C, B, A, and S. New Guilds with no background and no strong players are ranked as D-Class Guilds.
C-Class Guilds may have at least 500 members or 10 players at top 500 rankings in their respective game. If the Guild fulfills member counts then at least 1 player needs to be in the top 200.
B-Class Guilds must have either at least 5k members with 1 player at top 100 rankings or 10 players at the top 200.
A-Class Guilds: either 20k members with 1 player in the top 50 or 10 players in the top 100.
S-Class Guilds must have at least 3 players in the top 10 or 15 players in the top 50 in addition, they must have either a history of participation in S-Grade Quest or completion of an A-Grade Quest. These quests can be solo, party, or guild.
Going by this standard there can only be 3 S-Class Guilds in VWPS. But there are a total of 14 S-Class guilds in the world.
So to mitigate some conflicts VWPS separated player rankings by their class and an All In One (AIO) ranking also existed.
VRGaming Sports Establishment also accepted players ranking in any of the VWPS official rankings. But for S-Class, there should be at least 1 player in the top 20 of AIO rankings.
Anyway, this will not happen in the coming 3 months. Any game takes at least this much time to stabilize in the field. VWPS will launch its rankings after 3 months.
If not, anyone with a little bit of luck can rank no.1 at the start of the game. After 3 months this type of situation at least manages to reduce to 1%.

And in VRpod 1% immersion difference is very important.
90% immersion delays the brain to virtual body instructions by 0.1 seconds.
Whereas 95 and 98% immersion delays by 0.05 and 0.01 seconds.
99% immersion further reduces the delay to 0.008 sec.
In the later stages of any game when a player's attribute increases beyond 100 this difference proves to be very dangerous in PvP matches and PvE situations.
Sunny bought the medium Quality VRpod with 95% immersion. One Nutrient solution pack lasts for 15 days in the VRpod if a player uses the pod for 16 hrs per day.
Sunny, therefore, has to buy 2 C-QNSs for a month. Coupled with the price of VRpod he will only be left with around 10k UGC.
As these thoughts were racing through his mind, Sunny reached home. Time is past 8 Pm now, so he calls in a day and then goes to prepare dinner then to sleep.
