12 12. Clearing The [Instance Dungeon] II.
[Iron Headed Boar] (level-1-C)

The appearance of the boar was nothing different from a tusked Eurasian wild pig. Just that, its size is 2 times bigger than normal boars. The tip of its tusks were iron coated and sharp, such that it can drill a hole in 3 inch hard wooden surface.
It's main attack is charging straight at the enemy with its tusks. E and D grade boar has relatively harder time to change direction while mid charge. But, C grade boar have more control over their body. So, although they are slow in changing direction but, not by much.
As usual Sword Genius and Xuan Bing went ahead for frontal confrontation. But this time, Sword Genius also avoided direct exchange and adopted the dodge and counter-attack strategy.
The boar charged with its full strength towards SG, while she dodged the attack at the last moment by shifting to its left side and executed *Slash*. That resulted in a 7 inches long and 2 inches deep wound on the boar's side.

The boar grumbled in pain and changed it's direction to Sword Genius in 2 sec. Just as it about to charge again, Xuan Bing appeared behind it and dealt with a series of quick but normal strikes.

Then she circled to the boar's other side and executed *Backstab* while the boar turned towards her previous location and enlarged the wound caused by Sword Genius.

Sunny also timed a *Mana Bolt*, such that a blue bolt hit the boar's rear just after Xuan Bing's combination. *-67* While Xuan Bing was executing her combo, everyone tactfully avoided making any move on the boar, lest they ended up breaking up her combo resulting in her losing up on the effect of the *Backstab* skill.
Right after, Xuan Bing immediately used *Stun* on the monster without giving it any chance to rest.
Xie Ying used that 1 sec and shot an arrow at the boar's hind leg joint with the help of *Lock On*. Although she spent 5 Perception stat to hit the specific area, since the attack would slow down the boar's charge speed it was worth it.
Meanwhile, Qin Ming and Yu'er focused their attention on casting *Mana Shield* if any need arises.
Sword Genius arrived in front of boar again and dealt some normal attacks to its head, especially its snout. This effectively kept the boar's attention on her and use charge more frequently.
In 87 sec, the party managed to shave off the boar's health.

Rewards: 30% Exp each, 50 Copper coins each, 3 Rabbit Horn, 3 Rabbit meat, 1 Wolf Claws, 2 Wolf Pelt, 2 Boar Iron Skull, 5 Boar Meat."
With the 4th wave rewards now everyone's level 1 with Sunny at 47% and the rest at 29% Exp.
5th wave started after the party had 1 hour of rest. But the party were at full strength after 40 min of rest so they requested the system to start the wave early.
In this wave, a level-1-D [Iron Headed Boar], a level-1-D [Steel Clawed Wolf] and a level-1-D [Single Horned Rabbit] attacked from 3 sides. 30sec later 4 level-1-E [Single Horned Rabbit] joined the fight.
Since the party members were all level-1, stronger than before and more familiar with the new party formation the 7 monsters were dealt within 53sec.
Then, a boar and a wolf with C grade came together from the front clearing. 58 sec was all it took for both monsters to turn into light motes.
"5th wave- Cleared! Calculating rewards...
Rewards: 45% Exp each, 80 Copper coins each, ..."
In the 6th wave, there were total of 12 monsters. 3 level-1-C of each type, 5 level-1-D boar, wolf and rabbit in the ratio of 2:2:1 and 4 level-1-E rabbits.
139 sec were needed to clear the 6th wave.
"6th wave- Cleared! Calculating rewards...
Rewards: 70% Exp each, 1 Silver coin and 20 Copper coins each,..."
The party of 6 advanced to level 2 by clearing just 3 waves. This is the reason [Instance Dungeon] was so popular in village dimension in the future.
The earlier one encounter it, the more benefit it would bring. Level-5 and below monsters doesn't spawn B grade and above monsters.
When [Instance Dungeon] spawns in forest region, the monsters appearing in the 9 waves doesn't exceeds level-5. Thus, it gives bountiful rewards with lower difficulty.
When [Instance Dungeon] spawns outside the forest region, monsters with grade B strength also comes in the waves. This increases the difficulty of fully clearing it exponentially. The main reason for it is the absence of opportunities to increase the players strength qualitatively, while B grade monsters are significantly stronger than C grade.
1 B grade is manageable with a party of 10 players, but if 2 comes together then... 'amen'.

7th and 8th wave monsters were also level 2 with 15 and 18 total monsters respectively.
The number of C, D and E grade monsters were 1 more than the previous wave. The E grade monsters weren't just rabbits this time, but a mixture of the 3 monster types.
The difficulty level once more shot up from 7th wave. Therefore, the party took more time to clear the waves.
7th wave was cleared in 284 seconds. 35% Exp with 3 Silver coins and 60 Copper coins and the monster materials were the rewards for clearing 7th wave.
8th wave took 345 seconds. Rewards were 55% Exp with 4 Silver and 80 Copper coins and the monster materials.
As the party members were elevated to level 3 with the bountiful rewards from the previous waves the 9th wave monsters were also of level 3 numbered 21.
The party cleared the 9th wave in 420 seconds. Rewards: 70% Exp with 7 Silver and 20 Copper coins and monster materials.
The party spent 7 hrs. in the [Instance Dungeon]. 30 min after clearing the 9th wave the party were teleported back to the forest in open spaces between the forest trees.
Just as the party members regained their bearing from the teleportation, everyone got a notification from Aurora.
"Congratulations! Your party is first in the game to clear a [Instance Dungeon].
Achievement completed: First clear of [Instance Dungeon].
Grade- C.
Rewards: 10 FP, 2 Skill Points, 20 Silvers."
Sword Genius received an additional notification.
"Congratulations! Your party is first in the game to clear a [Instance Dungeon]. Since it is a C grade Achievement, a Server wide announcement will be made. Please select a mode for announcement:
1. All party members name would be made known.
2. Anonymous.
Achievement information including about [Instance Dungeon] will also be explained."
For the first time since meeting with Sword Genius, Sunny saw her ice-cold expression crack. She had an excited expression on her face for 3 seconds before she calm down herself.
She looked at him and said, "Aurora's asking permission for announcement. Do you want to be anonymous or is it okay with your name being known?"
Sunny replied, "I don't have any problem with either of the option."
Sword Genius released a breadth she didn't realize she was holding in. Then she turned to her friends and saw they all gave her a nod of approval. She then choose 1st option.
A moment later a pleasant to hear chime of bells sounded out in every village dimension. Loud but not disturbing.
"Player Sword Genius and her party member are the first to have gained a C grade Achievement: First clear of [Instance Dungeon].
Party members: Chaos 273; Young Lady Yu'er; Xuan Bing 8987; Xie Ying 1657; Qin Ming 5799.

The announcement rang 3 times along with the information about [Instance Dungeon], which was available before one enter it.
Sword Genius gave 25% agreed party loot to Sunny and said, "We are going to return to the village now. Would you like to come along with us?"
Sunny agreed as he was also thinking to quit for the day. He didn't want to mess up his schedule again tomorrow.
One can play the VR games while in sleep. While this isn't bad for health in the short term, long term such activity without proper sleep leads to insomnia.
Sunny doesn't want to allot his precious sleep time to gaming.
The party returned to village and parted ways after adding each other as friends on their Avatar Profile.
Before parting Sunny also mentioned them to accept the quest at Village Head House before selling the monster materials.
Sunny first went to market region and visited various shops to submit the completed quests. Total 4 Quests requirements were completed i.e. [Single Horned Rabbit], [Steel Clawed Wolf], [Iron Headed Boar] and [Blue Spirit Grass].
He also had more materials than mentioned in the quest description. The extra monster materials can be sold to respective shop for the market price, which is usually 20% of the quest rewards price. While the extra Alchemy materials are priced at 25%.
Sunny choose to log out after emptying his inventory of the materials.
While this was happening with Sunny the entire game players were buzzing with excitement, envy, jealousy, anticipation, etc.
