1 Awakaning
Max woke up in a unknown location. He was laying on a counter you would see in a gaming club.
'What the hell? Where the hell am I?' He thought.
He was really confused and did not understand what was going on. Then he walked to take a look outside and it was not what he expected to see at all.
This gaming club that he slept in was located in some kind of village. It looked like he got 300 years back in time. Max lived in Tel Aviv before. He was a student that got to study there from the US. He was interested to see the world and learn about a new culture and he got the chance to do it.
He was on the third year of study in the University of Tel-Aviv. He studied computer science. In his free time he liked sports, reading books, surf at the sea when he had time and to game online. He liked MMO games. He understood with time that life was some kind of game as well, when you could grow and improve yourself in all aspects of life. You just needed to know the rules and act.
Max was still thinking what really happened.
'Was I kidnapped or something? I does not look like it. If I was kidnapped I would not be able to move anywhere at all.. What is going on..' Max thought.
After some time he could still could not understand anything.
Suddenly he a voice in his head:
"System loading.. 10% 25% 30% 50% 75% 90% beep. Congratulations host for obtaining the gaming club system. Build the gaming industry in the world of sword and magic and become the ruler of the gaming world, using the capsules that can use full immersion mode to teach the costumers skills of many different classes that are available. Also the costumers can make a player versus player interactions to solve disputes. There are options for them to fight bots in different levels and test the skills they learned. Everything depends on the aptitude of the participant. All skills learned in the club will permanently be remembered by the participant and all the gains of the costumer will be transferred to his body. When the participant will train in the simulation the same muscles will work in the real world. There are other functions that will be unlocked to the public like a bar and some different meals that will boost the stats of the costumers. The host have a special capsule that allows him to train and feed by nutrient supply and water for a longer time. The host progress will depend more on the costumer and not on the effort he will put into gaming. Progress can be made but it will be slow. The host is invincible in the gaming club and can ban anyone from the club by adding him to the black list. If the host will get hit in the club the pain will be felt but host will not die and the wounds will be healed in a fast phase. If the host will not promote the gaming industry for a long time the invincibility can be removed. Black listed costumers will not be able to enter the facility." The system said.
"What?" Max asked, dumbfounded.
"Ok, ok. If I get out of the gaming club I could get killed like any other human?" Max asked.
"Correct." The system answered.
"Then I will not get out from here until I feel safe enough. Is the food supply in the club is unlimited?" Max asked.
"No. It will end in one year from now." The system said.
"Shit!! Then I need to use this time to get strong enough to not worry about the outside world. If close the gaming facility I will be safe? Is it possible to anyone to be able to enter?" Max asked.
"The host can close the gaming club or even put it into a dimensional ring that is designated for it. It is located on the host hand. It allows the host move and put the gaming club at new places to attract costumers. If the club is closed no one can get in. It will take someone above the arch mage level to enter the shop." The system said.
"Close the gaming club for now." Max said.
He did not want to interact with the locals. They could think he has a connection with the devil or something. He did not want to get killed because some idiot will think that he is a sinner or some local religion will say he is a heretic or something like that. He needed power to do what he wanted. For that he needed to use the simulation himself. He had no other choice. He was not someone that liked to count on luck.
The doors closed shut and Max felt some sense of security.
"How do I use that capsule thing?" He asked.
"You have a special capsule for yourself in your room that is located on the second floor." The system said.
Max saw that behind the 10 capsules that were located on the first floor there were stairs. He was not interested in all the gaming club stuff he got for now. He was limited on time and he understood he needed to act now.
When he got up the stairs to the second floor he saw only one door.
He opened it and his sight fell on an average looking room with a big bed with two brown wardrobes on both sides. The bed and the wardrobes looked totally new like all the rest of the equipment in the house. Also he had capsule located not far from the bed. It was science fiction for Max because he did not have this technology level in 2023 on Earth.
Max looked to the right and saw another door. He went over there and opened the door. He saw a modern toilet and a shower cabin. It was good enough for him right now.
He walked back to his room and asked the system: "How do I use this capsule?"
The capsule was blue in color. It looked like it got out of fantasy movie. It had a big clack circular window glass. Behind it he could see a comfortable looking seat with some unknown equipment located inside.
"You need to press the red button on the side or just say "Open" and it will open. After that you just get inside, sit comfortably and say start out load. It is better for you to undress inside. Otherwise your clothes will tear by the equipment. If you want to make the glass tinting in a way you will be invisible to the outside world say the word "dark" and if you want the glass to come back to normal say light. You need this setup for the capsule to be able to supply you with water, food, vitamins and minerals needed for you body to function and a system to get rid of the waste your body will produce during that time" The system said.
"Ok. Whatever. Open" Max said.
The capsule opened and he got inside. He felt really uncomfortable undressing and then sitting in the place designated for him in the capsule. Generally it felt comfortable but very weird at the same time. He was starting to think how he will explain to the people in this world about this process. He felt a headache coming to him and he did not like that feeling.
'How the hell am I going to explain to some guy that cables will be connected to his mouth and ass to keep him comfortable. Oh my god..' He thought.
"Ok what are the rules in the virtual reality I will get into?" Max asked.
He was not really a huge gamer but he knew a thing or two. He was interested in the functionality of his gaming club.
"Every year you spend in the simulation will count as one day in the outside world. The host can choose only one of two classes right now: Warrior and Mage. Other classes will open when the owner will unlock them. The host has a very bad aptitude for both classes because goal of the host is to become the god of the gaming industry and not a top fighter. The host will need to get to the level of an apprentice first. After that to a level of warrior or mage. The highest level the host can get using his hard work is a high mage. apprentice warrior, warrior, grand warrior have 9 levels each. Same thing with the mage class. Host need to pay attention to the fact that in the shop the level of power of the host will go up by one level. It means that if the host is a warrior level fighter the club will boost it to a level a grand warrior. A mage will be boosted to a high mage. The buff work in a vicinity of 5 meter of diameter of the gaming club." The system said.
"Holy moly. How much time it will take me to get to a level of a warrior and a mage?" Max asked.
"I'm not sure. It will depend on the host's hard work. It is possible to get there after spending one or two years time of the real world playing the simulation." The system said.
"What?! You say I need more then 350 years in the simulation to get there? And work hard all that time? Are you crazy?!" Max asked.
He understood that he was going to have a lot of "fun" for a long time.
