5 365 years part 4

Max chose a simple and relaxing template for the background with a lake surrounded by grass land. It was something that gave him a very comfortable feeling. He felt ready to meditate and start his magic path. First he needed to feel the mana he was attracting from his meditation technique. For the first few days he did not feel anything. He was not surprised. He continued his daily meditation sessions. Also he trained his archery and fought the level five bot for a few hours every day. Time slowly passed. After around a year Max became frustrated with all the mana training. He had the information in his head. He saw how the bot did the process, simulating it for Max but he still did not get it. Max took a couple of days of to calm down and then continued with his routine. After around a month he finally started to feel the energy that the meditation technique was attracting. It took so much time. He was not happy at all. Still he followed the meditation technique instructions and started to absorb the mana into his abdomen area. 10 years passed since then. Max was proficient in absorbing mana now and started practice the different skills. He was surprised to see the fact that the support skills he had chose to study were not that hard to learn. He was able to perform all the six skills well. He added them to the bot he fought against and the battles became epic. The power and speed the two used increased by a lot. The main damaging skills did not change and because of that Max still fought with the level five bot. He did not made any drastic change. He felt he needed a lot more time to win this level of opponent consistently. The sad part was the fact that Max still did not get to a level of a mage apprentice. According to the system a mana core will be formed at the abdomen area when he will get to the needed level.

Because he saw that he could master the support mage skills he started to look for more of those skills and found two more skills that he thought it was a must to learn. There was one problem. He was in a low level to study them. This is the two skills he found:

-Fly(High mage level required).

-Blink(Mage level required with the affinity with all elements).

Max was disappointed but he still knew that he will get there eventually.

He did have affinity to all element. It was miniscule but it was better then nothing.

Now he understood he needed to start study the different elemental mage professions.

He needed to feel the different elemental particles and then manipulate them using his magic power and in the same time manipulating the mana in his body in the right way. It was much harder then the support mage skills. When Max understood the process he sighed. It will take him so much time to make it work. To much time. He sighed again and started to concentrate. Max started to try and feel the earth element because it was all around him. 5 more years passed and Max got to the level of mage apprentice. It was a totally unexpected result. He felt the core form in his body. He felt his magic power flare up and the mana around him became a lot more lively. Before that transformation he could not feel any earth particles at all but with time he was sure that he will get there.

While he was continuing his normal routine of meditating, fighting with the level five bot and practicing archery every day he also looked at all the skills the system recommended him to study for all the other mage classes.

It was pretty funny because all the classes had only two mage skills recommended except the lightening mage class.

Fire Mage:

-Fire ball.

-Fire Shield.

Wind Mage:

-Wind slash.

-Wind Barrier.

Water Mage:

-Water ball.

-Water barrier.

Earth Mage:

-Earth bullet.

-Earth Wall.

Lightning Mage:

-Zap.

Max understood that if he could study one of the four main magic elemental routes skills then all the rest of them should be pretty similar. All of the skills were self explanatory except from zap. Zap was a lightning skill that could be casted from close or long range. It causes a electric current go through the opponent body and stun him for a short time. This short time is generally more then enough to land the finishing blow in a fight. The other good side of this skill was the fact that it was very fast. It was really hard to react to this skill, cancel or block it in any way. The biggest con was the difficulty to feel the lightning element and use it.

Twenty more years passed. In this time Max finally felt the earth particles and started to manipulate them. He tried to cast the earth bullet and the earth wall but he made a lot of different mistakes because it was hard to control his mana in a certain way and to control the earth particles as well. Also he got to a level two mage apprentice. He was not sure if he should be happy or not because the progress was slow. Twenty more years passed and finally he was able to cast those two skills well consistently. He added them to the level five bot and fought it fiercely. He now won it inconsistently because of the adding of the earth mage branch to it. Before he was almost ready to go and fight the level six bot. Now his goal was to study all the rest of the magic skills as fast as possible and get to a level of a mage. He was not sure he would get there in time.

Max then changed the templates in a way so it will be easy to feel the magic particles with the right element. For water he chose a deserted island surrounded by sea. For fire it was an erupting mountain volcano. For wind it was a high place on the mountain top and for lighting it was a weather with a lot of clouds with lightning falling from them all over the place. Max even needed to cast some barriers to not get fried because of the dangerous weather.

After that it was just training day after day. After that a lot more years passed and Max was in the simulation space 250 years already. He studied all of the skills. The hardest one was the zap skill. Because Max could choose his environment by will it was way easier for him. Still it took him 30 years to feel the lightning element and use it for close and long ranged attacks with the zap skill. Also, he was in the 7 level of mage apprentice now. He did feel comfortable using magic from all the elements now. In terms of his fighting capabilities Max still was fighting the level five bot. Because of the zap skill it was very easy to win or lose so Max fought the bot with the lightning element disabled for both sides half of the time because the fighting style changed drastically without using the lightning element. Now that he learned all the skills he wanted except from the blink skill that was designated for mages and not mage apprentices like him he started to meditate most of the day and fight for like four hours a day with one hour on practicing archery. 100 more years passed and Max broke through to the level of a mage. He was elated by this fact. When he progressed to the mage level his magic core increased in size and his magic power increased tenfold. He felt different. He felt very strong. Now it was only the blink skill left to study and then it was needed to implement it with his fighting style. That exactly what happened in the next 15 years. In 5 year Max studied the blink skill. Blink require to use all five elements and was a very rare skill. It was needed to have enough magic power and mana to and manipulate the earth, wind, water, fire and lightning elements in a special way to the place you wanted to appear in to blink correctly. After he succeeded in this task there was only 10 years left. The only thing Max did in this time was to do one hour of archery training and fight the bot generated by the simulation for the rest of the time. Because zap and blink changed the way he fought it did the fighting sessions in 3 different ways. With blink and zap, with zap and no blink, without zap and with blink and without both. That's how his last 10 years ended in the simulation. The last two days were resting days for him. He achieved his goal and even more while entering the simulation. He was ready to explore the outside world now. He was so happy to end this training regime. He was sure he needed a few years of rest from all of this stuff. He ended the 365 years of simulation with a level of 1 rank mage and knight. Having different skill sets from both professions and a fighting power of a level six bot on the weaker side. Max lost to this bot 80 percent of the fights. Still it was a good progress.

Finally Max asked the system: "How to exit?".

"Say 'system finish simulation' and it will end." The system said.

"System finish simulation." Max said and disappeared from the simulation.
