1 Prologue

"Mom, I really didn't-"

BANG!

An elegant woman in a white gown slapped the young girl in front of her.

The woman had blonde hair and gentle light brown eyes which made look as an angel in the white gown but the beautiful eyes held nothing but contempt for the young girl who was no older than 14, in front of her.

"Violet, how dare you lie! Are you trying to say that as your parents, we're trying to frame you?"

"No, Mom! But I really Didn't do it. Please believe me." said the young girl as tears flowed from her beautiful violet eyes. Then she turned eyes to imposing man next to elegant woman and the angelic girl who exactly same features as the elegant woman and said, "Dad? Sis? You guys don't believe me too? How can do those things when I don't even leave the house? Someone's trying to frame me, Dad! "

"What's there to believe, Violet. There's clear video recording that it was you who did it." coldly said James, her father. He had a handsome face with ocean blue eyes and black hair. "It's really a shame for the Glenister family to give birth to someone like you." he continued. The look he gave was bone-chilling as if she wasn't his daughter but some mortal enemy. A simple glance at his infuriated eyes was enough to freeze someone's blood.

Her eyes widen in horror as she heard her father say those words.

The socialites watched as this embarrassing scene took place. They glared in disdain at Violet as they gossiped and laughed.

Violet, the younger twin of the Glenister family was utterly humiliated at the anniversary party of the Glenister couple. Had the crowd didn't know that the young was really a member of the family, no one would have really believed it. She had ash grey hair and beautiful violet eyes. Her skin was pale, like the first fall of snow. Her looks were impeccable. She looked nothing like her parents. But inherited the looks of her paternal grandmother who died in her youth.

"I deeply apologize to all the guests present here, for making you all witness this embarrassing scene. So, as to make up for it, I would like to declare something." said James as he took hand of his dear wife, Aurelia, and his favorite daughter, Lily, and lead them to center of the hall. Leaving behind Violet, alone in the corner with no one by her side.

"Here, I wish all the distinguished guests to act as witness for the engagement between Lily and Alexander."

In the enormous ballroom stood a beautiful young teenage couple. There were hundreds of high society present to witness this engagement between two of the four influential families in the western world- Glenister and Locke.

The guests proceeded to congratulate and bless the two families, completely forgetting the lone figure at the corner of the enormous hall.

Violet looked at her parents, who were warmly smiling at her older twin and the young boy beside her. Just one look at them was enough to see that they were a loving family. The young teenage couple were looking at each other with love that was seen clearly in their eyes. That young boy was none other than said betrothal. They were verbally engaged since kids. Yet it was her sister who ended up with him.

Looking at scene unfolding before her, she could feel her heart empty and lonely.

She was clearly standing in the crowd. Yet there was no one by her side.

She had parents. Yet not their love.

She had a twin sister. Yet no sibling love between them.

She had a fiance. Yet the on he loved was her sister.

She could swear that she wasn't the one to sell the important information to rival company. Yet no one believed her.

Was she destined to be alone? Unloved?

With all this question in her mind, she rushed toward the exit. Staying here would only hurt her more.

Suddenly, she bumped into a broad chest and fell down.

The pain, both physical and emotional, brought tears in her eyes.
