CHAPTER 2 - The Last Will

JISOO'S POV

"Jisoo I've heard from Yunyeong that your sisters will study at Majestic University. Is that true?" Mr. Bang, our manager asked me with a smile on his face.

"It's true Mr. Bang. Thanks to you we can now send them to a prestigious school." I can't help but thank him. He really helped us a lot.

"That's no big deal. Ever since your parents died, the four of you are like daughters to me." He gave me a pat on the back and left the staff office.

With what he said, I can't help but reminisce the past. When our parents died, the four of us didn't know what to do. We don't have any relatives nearby and our parents left us money which can last for only a month. Jennie and I decided to stop going to college and look for a job. No one hired us because we are inexperienced and when we thought that there's no more hope, Mr. Bang went to our house and asked us how we are doing. Knowing that we need a job, he offered both Jennie and I a job at the diner. Even though they wanted, he didn't allow Lisa and Rose to work because they still haven't finished their high school education. With that being said, I can truly say that he's also like a parent to us. He's our saviour.

After a few minutes of throwback, I went out of the staff office and ready myself for work. With my pen and mini notebook, I was about to take the order of one newly arrived customer sitting near the window when I realized who it was. I activated my telepath and contacted Jennie through my mind.

"Jendeuki, you there?"

After a few minutes she answered back. "Yup. I'm in the kitchen preparing pasta for table 9. Why?"

"He's here."

"Who?"

"Who else? It's the love of your life."

I heard a sound of a spoon falling inside the kitchen.

"Yah! Don't startle me like that. I almost let go of this pot that I'm holding."

"Hey it wasn't my fault that you reacted that way. Get over here and take his order. I'll take your place in the kitchen."

I saw her went out of the kitchen and approach me. She whispered something in my ear. "Thank you Chichu. You're really my fairy godmother."

I handed her the pen and notebook. "Aish. Stop talking and go to him already. If you don't, I will take him away from you."

"Nah. That's not gonna happen. You already have a Prince Charming named Bobby." She walked away and move towards the guy sitting at the window.

I can't help but smile at what I'm seeing. Jennie talking to a guy with a big smile on her face. Not just big, but super big as if her mouth's extended a mile away. Aigoo! This girl is really inlove with this nice guy. It was really a sight to see because among us sisters, Jennie is the one who seldomly smiles. Seeing her like this makes me giddy although it would have been better if the guy himself confess his feelings to her. Everyone with eyes can see that this guy also likes her. The way he smiles and the way he gazes at her. Damn! Be together already you two!

Looking at them, I can't help but miss my handsome boyfriend- Bobby. How was he? Have he eaten lunch? Is he taking his vitamins on time? Is he thinking of me right now? Kyah! I can't wait to see him this weekend. I guess between me and Jennie, I'm more love sick than her. Well, who can blame me when me and Bobby will celebrate our anniversary tomorrow. I better make it perfect.

I was still thinking about my anniversary surprise for Bobby when Mr. Bang entered the kitchen. "Where's Yunhyeong?"

"Umm. He went out and did some delivery service."

"Oh. What to do? I need someone who will deliver this to Ms. Park down the street asap."

"I can do that. There's few customers and I know how to drive a motorcycle."

Mr. Bang eyed me suspiciously. "Are you sure you can drive?"

"Yes sir. You can trust me."

He gave me the box of brownies and I hopped off the motor and drove away. It took me about 20 minutes before I reach Ms. Park's coffee shop. As I entered the shop, an old lady greeted me with a big smile on her face.

"You must be Jisoo. Thank you for delivering it my darling." I gave her the box of brownies and was preparing to leave the shop when I saw an adorable couple having a good time sitting near the window.

The guy's back was facing me that's why I can't see his face, while the girl looks really pretty. The guy reached for the girl's hand and kissed it tenderly. I can't help but smile at the scene in front of me. I instantly remembered Bobby because he loves doing that to me. Aigoo! I should really start preparing for my anniversary surprise.

I was about to go out of the cafe when I heard something that stopped me on my tracks.

"Bobby! Stop kissing me. There are lots of people around here."

My heart stopped for a moment. I wasn't breathing and I don't know what to do.

It can't be him. I know him. He won't do something like this to me. It can't be.

"It's okay though. You're my girlfriend. I will do everything to show my love for you."

That voice. I know that voice. I've etched that voice in the corners of my heart.

The girl took her hand away from him and looked sternly at him. "But I heard that you already have a girlfriend. What's her name again? Is it Jisoo?"

There must be some mistake. I'm not the only Jisoo in this place. There might be other Jisoo who have a boyfriend named Bobby. That's not me.

"Jisoo? Nah. That girl's not my girlfriend anymore. She's so busy working at that diner, she doesn't even spend some time with me." He grabbed the girl's hand and kissed it again. "And besides, what kind of a girlfriend sees her boyfriend 4 times a month. And we haven't even kissed for the past 2 months. You see, it's like I'm dating a nun. I don't need a girlfriend like her."

The way he said my name, I already know it was him. Tears keep rolling down my cheeks and I didn't do anything to stop it. I've felt like my world came crashing down with every word he says. I guess what people say is true. That the ones who we truly love are the ones who can hurt us the most. And I'm hurting right now. I'm still standing here, rooted on my spot and I didn't know what to do.

He stood up and took the girls hand. "Let's go before someone she knows see us together."

I blocked their way and I looked straight in Bobby's eye. The shock was evident in his eyes and also the girl beside him.

I wipes the tears off my eyes. I don't want him to see that I'm crying. "I already saw you two together. I was actually watching the both of you. What a lovely couple."

"Jisoo...I...we..." He kept stuttering and made me even angrier.

"Don't worry. We already broke up remember." I told him with enough hatred then I stared at the girl beside him. "Let me just give you a piece of advice. If I were you I wouldn't date him. Because guys like him...are a complete jerk!" I faced Bobby and slapped him hard on his face.

I ran outside and rode the motorcycle out of the cafe and out of their life.

-------------------------------------------

"Oh! Jisoo. You're here. I was looking for you everywhere." Jennie went beside me and was shocked at the state of my eyes.

"What the hell! Are you crying?"

"No I'm not. It's just a little dusty here." I pretended to pick dust particles around my eyes.

"You know what, you still suck at giving reasons. I know something's going on. Spill."

I still kept quiet and didn't say anything.

"Come on. If you're not going to tell me, I 'm going to call Bobby and tell him his girlfriend went nuts. I'll tell him to break up with you."

Upon hearing his name, tears fell from my eye and I can't help but let it flow continuously on my cheeks.

"He already did."

"WHAT?!"

"Well, I broke up with him when I found out he cheated on me."

"WHAT?!" Jennie repeated with shock evident on her face.

"Is that the only word you'll say?" I can't help but laugh a little at her reaction.

"I mean...Bobby...cheated? Are you sure?"

"Yes. I've found out a while ago. Saw him kissing a girl at a cafe." I looked at the floor because I can't take the look of pity in her eyes.

"THAT S*N OF A B*TCH!" Jennie stood up and hold both my shoulders.

"Where is he?! I want to see that jerk!"

I stood up and stopped her from going out the room. "And what will you do to him?"

"I'll send him to hell! What did you do to him?"

"I slapped him."

"What?! You just slapped him? You should have punched him, kicked him in his groins and headlocked him," she said demonstrating every move.

I can't help it but laugh out loud.

"What am I? An MMA fighter?"

"Yah! Why are you laughing? Shouldn't you be sad or angry? You've really gone nuts are you?"

"It's not like that. I'm just tired of all the crying. I just want to go home and sort my feelings out." I started arranging my stuff, preparing to go home.

"Alright. You need space. But don't forget that I'm always here for you, even Lisa and Rose. You can talk to us you know." Jennie hugged me so tight and I almost cried due to the comfort she's giving me.

"Let's go home. I bet the commotion wrought upon by Lisa and Rose at home will be enough distraction for you."

We held hands and went home excited to see the girls.

-------------------------------------------

"Oh unnie! You're here. Someone's here to see all of us." Lisa informed us as she opened the door.

Rose went near us and noticed my red eyes "Are you alright Chichu unnie? Why are your eyes like that?"

"It'a nothing. Her eyes kept on crying from all the onions we peeled earlier at the diner." Jennie answered for me and I gave her a grateful smile. I asked her earlier not to tell the girls what happened. I don't want them to worry.

"Who wants to meet us?" I asked, changing the subject.

"He said he's our family lawyer." Lisa explained. "Do you know him?"

Jennie stared at me. "No we don't."

"Then let's go and see what he wants." Rose led us to the living room.

----------------------------------------------------

"Good evening ladies. I'm Mr. Yang Hyun Suk, your family lawyer. And I'm here to discuss with you your parent's last will and testament."

"Woah! You mean mom and dad left us something?" Lisa squealed in excitement.

"Yes Miss Lalisa. They left something to all of you." Mr. Yang started opening the envelope in his hands.

"But wait. Why is it that we haven't received for the past year?" I can't help but ask. Our parents died last year but we haven't received any help during those time that we needed help.

"First, I want to sincerely say sorry for your loss. To tell you honestly I wasn't expecting that they will be in their demise at such an early age. I'm sorry."

He looked into each one of us and I can feel his sincerity. Rose started shedding tears. I held her hands and comforted her.

Mr. Yang gave us each a copy of the document and let us read the contents. "Your parents gave specific instruction that you will only receive their last will the moment all of you are college girls. And my sources told me that Lisa and Rose will start their college education this year. Am I correct?"

"Yes. To be specific, we'll start next week," Lisa answered.

"They left each of you an amount of 1 million dollars in your account."

"Bloody hell!" Jennie can't stop herself saying those words.

"Unnies! We're rich!" Lisa exclaimed clapping her hands.

Rose chimed in. "No Lisa. We're SUPER rich!"

I can't help but smile at them. They're really happy with the news.

"But there's only one condition for you girls to get your money."

Our faces instantly fell.

"There's a condition? What is it?" I asked while I held Jennie's hand. Please don't make it difficult, I silently prayed.

"The condition is for all of you to finish your studies at the school specified by your parents."

Rose tensely asked, "What if we don't want to? We already have a school in mind."

Mr. Yang cleared his throat and explained briefly. "It is specified here that if there's one of you who will not finish her studies at that school, even if it's just only one, all of you won't be eligible to receive the money."

"What the hell kind of a rule is that?!" Jennie exclaimed. Lisa, Rose and I just stared at Mr. Yang speechless.

I don't like where this talk is leading to but I still asked, "What school are we talking about?"

Mr. Yang composed himself and smiled widely as if he's very proud on what he's about to say.

"Abraxas University."
