Chapter 14 Bedroom part 2

Lilianna's perspective.

"Oh no..." I said as I was about to wear the sweatpants; "If I try to wear them here they'll get wet..." I looked towards the door. "But I can't walk out like this... He's there. I'll look desperate.." I look down at my outfit. "I had no choice but to wear the black underwear since there was no other however this hoody covers until half my thigh." I said to myself. "Oh, wait! I have air magic . I can lift myself up. I'm so dumb sometimes." I was about to use my magic to lift up myself until I felt how low my mana is. "You know what. I already used to much of my mana. I need to save up in case there might be an attack tonight." I said and sighed. "I'm too lazy anyway. I'll just wear it on the bed."

"I'm done. You can go take a bath now." I said as I walked out the bathroom. No reply. "Vinci?" I called out. No reply. 'They couldn't have attacked this early right?' I thought. I walked over to the couch. I heard a soft regulated breath. He was sleeping on the couch. "Malachi..." I said lightly shaking him. He hummed. "No..." He murmured but I heard. "Want to sleep..." I shook him a little harder. "Malachi, wake up. Go take a bath." I said. He gaped and opened his eyes. He blinked and then rose his eyes. "Lily," He said; "aren't you being a bit... too much to say it nicely..."

"It's not like I wanted to." I said sarcastically; "Someone left the tap open and the water almost went out of the bathroom. I wonder who that was."

"I would've turned it off if you hadn't made me burn myself." He replied. "I made you burn yourself?" I said in disbelief; "How is losing control over your element my fault?"

"You snuck up on me!" He answered; "How was I supposed to know you'd be there."

"I- Well, actually it still even effects my friends although I've known them for 5 years." I said; "It makes sense that it would effect you like this, But still I didn't not wear the sweatpants on purpose."

"Couldn't you like roll it up or something?" He said. My mouth fell open. "Oh, yeah! That totally slipped my mind!" I said. "Uh-huh. Totally." he said. I looked at him. "Look..." I began; "Sometimes smart people have brain malfunction okay. This makes us do the stupidest things when it comes to common sense."

He rose his eyebrows. "Even something like rolling up the pants." He said. I nodded and grinned. "Especially things like that." I replied; "My teacher liked to call it information overload."

"Your old physics teacher, I suppose." he replied. I nodded. "Yes." I said; "Oh, you remembered?" "That is something I cannot forget." He replied; "You mention him almost 24/7 especially when you want to complain about our current one. For the rest I don't remember your words. It's either school stuff or bull. Neither of which I want to remember."

"Hey! Me playing piano is not bull." I said. "I said what you say." He said; " That is not saying." I smiled. "So... Me playing piano is not bad." I said. "Yes, it's the only good thing about you." He said and stood up with his clothes. "Hey! That's not nice," I said. "Please you've said multiple roast to me since we came here." He said; " So it's fair if I say some back."

I sighed and went to the bed. I put on the pants as soon as I went to sit on the bed. "Don't trip in there!" I yelled to him. when I heard the door open. "I won't." He replied. I relaxed on the bed again. "Sleep!" I said; "Sleep. The best thing in the world." I lay on my stomach and felt the myself sink into the soft sheets. I was about to fall asleep when something came into my mind. 'Oh yeah. Tomorrow the queen should be suggesting that thing to carry out her evil plans. With the king leaving Malachi's life would be in danger. If he truly can't even execute a basic spell we are doomed.' I groaned. 'What to do? I can't join him. Rianna will most likely make sure that I don't participate..."

I rolled around the bed as I thought on what to do. I sighed. "This is hopeless." I said. "What you trying to acquire my love?" I heard Malachi's voice. "That truly is hopeless." I scowled. "Shut up, The world doesn't revolve around you, Malachi." I said; "Plus at least I know how to prioritize things."

"I know how to prioritize important things." He said. I hummed. "Sure," I said; "Like that time you skipped history class to flirt with your girlfriend or whatever she is."

"I-" He said; "You're too obsessed with me. I didn't even sit next to you that day. I sat at the other corner that day."

"Tsk. Calling me obsessed now are we?" I replied and laughed. I stood up from the bed to walk to him; "Vinci, Vinci. That's not what you call obsession. If you want to see true obsession I can show you. I'll happily show you what my obsession looks like in it's worst form." I smiled which caused me to close my eyes. I patted his chest and then acted like nothing happened, "I am afraid however that you won't like it. Not one bit." I said "Anyways you guys were out there for the whole school to see. Hard to miss really. I didn't even need to try. On top of that you are my assistant after all. Sometimes I need your help."

"Now go to sleep. Tomorrow we have a long day ahead of us. I need to figure out how to prevent you from being killed." I said. "Well, perhaps you could just leave it to system. She seems to know everything," He said. I smiled. "That's true. Perhaps but anyway let's sleep. Or should I tell you about this red carnation on my wrist." I said pointing to my wrist. Meanwhile on the inside I cursed him. 'I am system. So your solution doesn't help. There's no difference." I gaped.

Malachi's eyes seemed to droop a little. He rubbed them. "I think you can tell me tomorrow. Or just ask system. We both seem to be sleepy anyway." He replied. nodded. "Okay, sleep it is. Bye bye now." I said and gaped. "Silky sheets... Hmm... What a nice bed..." I murmured; "Time to sleep."

I seemed to have said it a bit too loud. "What a strange girl." I heard Malachi say..
