Villains Survival Guide

Pain makes you stronger. A quote from someone who clearly never experienced true pain. I have. I thought I finally got away from my past, and yet it seems I'm fated to die at the hands of my own creation. An author reincarnated as the villain of his own story. It's a race against time to see if he can survive in this world that seems so desperate to kill him. *** Note: There are multiple love interests however I haven't decided on if I'm going the harem route or not. The beginning might seem like TAP or TNE because its inspired by them but it changes dw.

===

What is Mana?

Mana comes from the Ethereal Realm and has invaded every planet the demons invade through their portals the mana spreads to the atmosphere and creates a layer of mana that surrounds the world, mana is like a law similar to physics. It Manifests in the form of Particles.

However, since Mana only exists in the Ethereal Realm then the way it manifests in the Physical Realm without the use of Magic Spell Mediums is Mana Wavelengths which are a connection between the Ethereal Realm and the Physical Realm.

===

What are Particles?

Particles are the manifestation of Mana since Raw Mana is extremely volatile and uncontrollable.

===

What is the Ethereal Realm?

The Ethereal Realm is where Mana comes from, it is a corresponding Realm to the Physical Realm.

===

What is an Avatar?

Everything in existence has an Avatar in the Ethereal Realm a counterpart Realm to the Physical Realm, and whatever affects something in one Realm affects it in the other.

An Avatar is made up of Particles in the Ethereal Realm.

Each Avatar has a Particle Count and therefore each Mage has a limit as to how far he can grow I.E meaning they have a cap as to how many Particles they can harness and wield.

===

What is Mana Control?

Mana Control is the number of Particles a person is capable of wielding.

Every Magic Spell requires a certain amount of Particles therefore a person must be able to wield the corresponding amount of Particles to activate the spell.

Since every person has a limited amount of Particles in their Avatar then they can only wield up to the number of Particles in their Avatar, meaning that if someone has a potential of B then their Mana control can go up to B at max and they can only wield at max a B Rank Spell as that is the most amount of Particles they can use.

===

What is a Mage?

A mage is a person born after the First Demon Invasion who is capable of harnessing mana and manipulating Particles, each Mage is registered at birth due to mana sensing technology so they can tell who is a Mage and who isn't, when they are registered they are given a system interface that shows them their Status and are given a potential rating corresponding to how many Particles their Avatar contains. However, Mages cant cast magic spells without a connecting medium to their Avatar in the Ethereal Realm so they use a device called an MSM or Magic Spell Medium which is a tool that connects a mage to their Avatar and allows the casting of Spells to be done at a fast and efficient pace.

It is possible to cast a spell without a Magic Spell Medium using Non-Systematic Magic which bypasses the use of Particles and instead harnesses Raw Mana, however, it is unstable and not safe for use.

===

What happens when a Mage uses up all of their particles?

When a Mage uses up all of their Particles they will fall into a state of Mana Exhaustion due to extreme strain on the Avatar.

===

What is a Magic Spell Medium?

There are 2 types of Magic Spell Mediums:

General MSM-

General MSMs are a tool for mages that cover all bases. Being able to store up to 100 Magic Spells, a mage equipped with a General MSM will likely always be able to adapt to the situation, with the potential for many options at their fingertips. Due to the ability to cast a larger variety and number of spells, a General-type MSM will place a larger burden on the user, who will have to make more manual adjustments for each spell to be effective.

Specialized MSM-

Specialized MSMs are inferior to General MSMs in that they can only store up to 10 Magic Spells, but they far exceed the latter when it comes to spell casting. With less capacity for storing magic spells, Specialized MSMs instead have subsystems that reduce the strain of casting on the mage, enabling them to invoke magic at a much faster rate. Due to the narrowed nature of Specialized MSMs, they are often specialized according to specific kinds of magic as well. For instance, combat mages will often have Specialized MSMs in the form of a weapon in which the Specialized MSM stores Magic spells that aid in auxiliary tasks related to the weapon itself for instance aim assist or extreme sharpening to save the mage time and mana on casting those.

===

What is a Mana Code?

A Mana code is what a Magic Spell is made of, it is similar to how Atoms are built.

Many Particles form a Mana Code which can then activate a Magic Spell.

Essentially every Magic Spell has a unique Mana Code and the Mana Code is like the key to the Magic Spell.

===

How does Spell Casting work?

The Mage infuses the Raw Mana in their body into the MSM.

The MSM analyzes the Mana Wavelength.

The MSM Connects to the Avatar in the Ethereal Realm through the Raw Mana.

Then the MSM sends a request to the System Interface Chip in the Mage's brain requesting what stored Mana Code to activate.

Then the Mage can activate the Magic Spell so long as they possess the necessary Mana Control to use it.

The MSM will then wield the necessary Particles in the Avatar and cast the spell in the Ethereal Realm causing it to appear in the Physical Realm.

If the Mage does not possess the necessary Mana Control then the MSM will experience Mana Instability where the Mana becomes Volatile and will cause backlash to the user.

However MSMs must also be in tune with their user, therefore when a Mage is looking for an MSM he must first feel the Magic Wavelength to see if it is in tune with him.

There are ways to Tune an MSM and that is done by Enchanters who can fine-tune an MSM.

===

What is a Unique Spell?

A Unique Spell is different from a regular Magic Spell.

Magic Spells were freely available to learn as one only had to learn the Mana Code for them which was essentially like an activation sequence for the specific Particles in the Magic Spell.

However, a Unique Spell is not freely available for any Mage to use, it was a Spell whose Mana Code could only be learned once and then it belonged solely to the Mage who learned it.

*Mage Class Level:*

Eupheme Class Mage: Mana Control E, capable of casting E-Rank Spells

Kator Class Mage: Mana Control C, capable of casting C-Rank Spells

Thaunal Class Mage: Mana Control A, capable of casting A-Rank Spells

Tritium Class Mage: Mana Control S, capable of casting S-Rank Spells

Apollyon Class Mage: Mana Control SS, capable of casting SS-Rank Spells

Paradox Class Mage: Mana Control beyond SS, no known cases therefore it is a theoretical class.

***Classification of Magic***

**Based on Target:**

Single Target

Multiple Targets

Area of Effect (AOE)

**MSM Magic:**

**Systematic Magic:**

Acceleration, Weight, Movement, Oscillation, Domain, Elemental, Psyche,

Acceleration Type Magic - Acceleration Particles:

Acceleration Magic involves accelerating or decelerating the target, hence its name. A Mage can also use personal Acceleration Magic, allowing him/her to move at speeds surpassing human limits. Acceleration Magic directly alters the inertia of an object. Consider this as changing the momentum of a moving object.

Weight Type Magic - Weight Particles:

Weight Magic involves the weight of objects, reducing or increasing them. It can help reduce the gravitational pull and allow for jumps that travel 100 yards. or allow a punch that otherwise would have caused minimal damage, to triple in power simply by increasing its weight.

Movement Type Magic - Acceleration + Weight Particles:

Movement Magic involves altering an object's velocity and path. Through Movement Magic, an object can change directions or completely stop in its tracks. The difference between Movement Magic and Acceleration Magic is that Movement Magic does not affect the inertia of an object. If an egg were subjected to only Movement magic, it would break itself apart because of the inertia inside the egg even though it has technically stopped moving.

Oscillation Type Magic - Vibration Particles:

Oscillation/Vibration Magic involves the vibration of targets. Waves can be produced, controlled, and dampened with this magic. Temperature change can also be achieved through this by forcibly increasing or reducing the vibration at the molecular level of the target.

Domain Type Magic - Space Particles:

Domain Magic involves selectively isolating targets within a target area. It can create a space where carbon dioxide gathers in the center, while all other gasses are pushed out, for example.

Elemental Type Magic - Elemental Particles:

Elemental Magic involves the manipulation of Elemental Particles such as Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Light, and Darkness. Elemental Particles involve the transmission of different types of energy and are arguably the most common Particles as they can be found attached to almost all other Particles.

Psyche Type Magic - Psyche Particles:

Mind Magic affects the psyche through the manipulation of Psyche Particles.

It involves the sensory system as well as the conscious and subconscious.

It is a dangerous Magic to use as it can oftentimes cause backlash to the user.

**Perception Magic:**

Perception Type Magic: ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) Using Perception Type Magic you can tap into Mana Wavelengths and see Mana Waves.

**Non - Systematic Magic:**

Non - Systematic Magic interferes directly with Raw Mana and bypasses the Avatar and Mana Particles.

It is used for Spells that require no Particle use and only Mana.

An example of a Non-Systematic Magic Spell is [Mana Diffusion]

[Mana Diffusion]

This spell causes the Mages Avatar to overload causing their Mana to Explode.

Dispersion - Non-Systematic:

Dispersion Magic interferes with the movement and interaction of Particles

**Unknown: **

Magic Spells that involve unknown or not researched Particles and usages.

Anti Particles:

Particles with negative molecules that reject other Particles, cannot coexist with the other particles and whenever they come in contact the Particles die however its only known harvestable form is a crystal of Anti Particles that lies on the ice planet of the Giants and Merpeople

There is a small amount available that has been bought from the other races.

**Innate Magic:**

Similar to a superpower or ability it is not a spell and can be used without an MSM.

Well if you read through that whole thing I cant thank you enough for your dedication to this novel, so thanks!
