6 Legendary Origins

As the white light receded, Caedes' eyes popped out of their sockets as he looked at the young girl in front of him.

The boy tried to step back but found himself tied by the tentacles at his neck.

"Y-You a-are a-a girl?!?"

"Surprised?" The girl questioned him with a smug smile on her face, proud that the boy in front of her reacted the way he did.

After all, no person who saw her like this was able to see the light of the next day-

Why? Simple. It's because he was in a way Immortal, not at all affected by any of her passive abilities.

She had long, ocean blue hair, a small face with eyes as white as the moon itself. At a height of 5'7, she looked like an angel… Well, that's if she wasn't strangling a boy to death right now-

"L-let m-m-eee go!" The boy spoke with suppressed anger.

"We'll talk about letting you go later. Let me first recover.. Or would you like your bond to die?"

"It's not like I can kill you anyways…" Caedes grumbled

'I wonder if you'll die if these wounds aren't treated though…'

The grip around his neck tightened as the girl's eyebrows twitched. Turning towards him, she moved her tentacles, smashing him around the place a dozen times while bringing him closer.

'The heck- Can she hear my thoughts?!?' Caedes screamed inside his mind as he averted his eyes from her figure.

"Hell YEAH!" Grasping his head as hard as he could, the boy begged her to stop screaming in his mind.

"I have more than infinite ways to make you submit to me, hmph!"

Turning around, she walked silently while the boy was dragged behind her with those tentacles.

He still couldn't help but be shocked at how she was even able to walk properly and all.

Caedes didn't know that there were quite a few abilities which the integration bestowed on the two beings and this was one of them, the ability to share their powers…

It didn't matter which, as long as one person possessed it; the other could also have a chance to access it.

Entering the house made of coral reefs, the girl threw Caedes towards a sofa while walking towards a half-enclosed space where a lot of cooking utensils could be seen.

The boy, now free from the clutches of the supposedly evil girl, massaged his neck softly and made himself comfortable.

"Give me a minute, I am going to clean up. If I come back and get to know that you escaped…"

The kettle filled with water let out a burst of steam as it made a whistling sound, interrupting the girl's threat.

Turning around, she walked towards one of the rooms while one of the tentacles behind her back picked up the kettle bringing it inside the room with her.

Watching the wooden door close fiercely with a banging sound, Caedes shifted his gaze away from the door, glancing at the simple yet elegant furniture.

A few enlarged seashells with a cushion-like object placed on them, assuming that this was a sofa like the one he was sitting on, Caedes glanced at the unique types of furniture around him.

Standing up, he walked towards one of the stone tablets placed in the corner of the room. The pitch black tablet was around around 5 feet long while writings were carved on it with golden ink.

[ Far, far beneath the abysmal sea, lay a Kraken where even the faintest sunlight fleets.

Consuming huge sea worms even in its sleep, it lay in the shadow deep.

In this sea of stars, it glowed the brightest.

Like a burning candle, like an erupting volcano, like a blazing star…

It burnt, burnt until all it was left with was ashes.

An end wonderful, deciding upon the fate of the very cycle. It will burn, burn until one of them ends.

Until the fire shall heat the very deep, taking upon a massive leap…

In the water was it born and in water will it die, in the reflection of these waves, the sky itself shall cry…

An end wonderful, deciding upon the fate of the very cycle. It shall be the flames that sparked the apocalypse…

Until one of them ends! ]

Stunned reading such magnificent words, the boy stood there in shock and in contemplation of the meaning these bold words held.

"That's a nice writing you got there."

The girl wore a white frock that came down her knees, along with a crown made of white lilies flowers that rested on her head.

"What you see right in front of you is one of the ancestral keepsakes that was left behind,"

"This stone tablet is said to peek into an individual's future… What you see in front of you is my prophecy, although it's said that none of the prophecies that it mentioned were true.

It has become a ritual for every heir of our race to drop a small amount of our blood until the next child grows to the age of coming.

You can go ahead and try though… it's not like someone's still alive. I am the last member of my now-extinct race, that is also the reason you call me an overgrown octopus; unknown of the legendary origins behind my race."

 "Legendary origins?"
