50 Chapter 50

Alice sat quietly in her balcony sipping her tea. She looked out. There was a huge green garden in front of her. It was late afternoon, and intensity of sun has already reduced. Though it is loud, she has now become used to it.

"Sister" she heard Stella calling her.

"Stella" Alice responded, "are you done with your class?"

"Yes" Stella said, "now Sister has to play with me."

"Fine. I guess even today Danny won't play with us. It is two of us again" Alice said and pouted her face.

"Sister, you look jealous" Stella teased.

"I am not" Alice snapped.

It has been more then a week since Alice ordered Emma to send things to Marcus' house. Emma prepared all the things Alice asked and sent the carriage to his village. It will still take some time for it to reach his village. As for her father's health, with Dr. Charles' effort, his fever seems to have reduced and he seems to be recovering.

"Stella, I am coming" Alice shouted.

She is now playing hide and seek with her dearest sister in the hallways, as the garden has already been occupied by the soldiers of North.

She wandered around, finding Stella.

"Are you here?" she said looking behind the pillar.

"No" she exclaimed upon finding no one.

"Where are you?" Alice shouted.

As Alice looked around, she found the tips of green dress that Stella was wearing under sofa.

"Are you here?" Alice looked into the big vase, pretending not to notice her.

She called for her a few more times, pretending to find her. Stella giggled under the sofa. She finally stopped in front of the sofa.

"Stella, where are you?" Alice said, as if she was tired.

She suddenly jumped down and saw her sister lying uncomfortably under the sofa.

"Found you" Alice shouted.

"Sister, you know I was here from beginning, right?" Stella asked as she crawled out of the sofa.

"Who told you hide so clumsily?" Alice teased.

Stella pouted her face.

"Are you angry at me?" Alice asked.

"I am not" Stella snapped.

Alice looked at her. She then attacked her and started to tickle her stomach. Stella burst into laughter, thought she tried her best not to.

"Are you now angry now? Tell me" Alice asked.

"No. I am not" Stella could barely say that, "stop it. I told you I am not."

"I won't" Alice said.

Stella then grasped Alice's leg, and started to tickle her foot. Alice started to laugh as tears came out of her eyes. Now it is her time to suffer. Stella tickled her foot continuously.

"Stop it. Stop it" Alice begged as she laughed.

"No. I won't" Stella said.

Alice then pulled Stella and hugged her tight. She then tickled the back of the neck. Stella laughed loud and begged her to leave. And after a while, both got tired. They went to Alice's room, and enjoyed their evening snacks together.
