32 Samuel's Alchemist prowess.

I have created 5 concussion grenades, the most non-lethal item in my Arsenal. It merely stuns my enemies.

Or in this case my hunt. It doesn't damage the Monsters I have. The swamp toad is a slimy monster, it produces viscous mucus to escape any predator when the predator tries to eat the toad with the slim it may choke them.

"Sheesh, how many do we need for the toad skin?"

{Err just take about 20 kilos and go}

"I don't have a scale"

{About err… }

[12 skins]

"ah okay"

Since I used the concussion grenade it was easy to finish off the swamp toads leading to an easy harvest, the swamp toads didn't even manage to produce that much mucus for the dismantling to become a hindrance.

{Sammy, take the meat too}

"'Eh? Why??"

[Food obviously get it]

"Fine…"

And I also took swamp toad meat. The toad is a giant toad by the way, similar in size to that of a cheap desk.

After taking the monster meat and its parts I started wearing gloves. I located a tree which is full of plants. The plant that is clinging to the tree is the Zulu Ivy.

It's quite poisonous but if the poison's dose is lessened it's quite a medicine. Capable of healing small scars.

The effect of the Zulu Ivy poison is that it overgrows the skin making multiple flaps of useless skin, once poisoned it will be irreversible.

With enough poison, one could render their limbs useless.

For the poison of the Zulu ivy to be in effect one must touch the top part of the leaf.

And that's why.

—chop!

I used my short sword to chop large portions of vines and pry them off the tree. The glove is just a precaution. After all, who just carelessly does something such as touching a poisonous plant without having protection?

I took out a paper bag and placed the vines of Ivy in there, I made sure to be careful cuz I don't want extra skin on me.

The paper bag was, of course, if I took out the Ivy as is then we'll have problems.

Now I have one more ingredient to get from this swamp. I made sure to gather them before the sun went down.

The hunt was good, I managed to get all the ingredients from the swamp, and now the only three ingredients missing are something I could buy on the market.

After changing my clothes I started going back home. My room in the mansion near Ophelia's room is just a stroll ahead.

I took a rest for today. There's always tomorrow to come as I can buy the ingredients later, after all, it is going dark.

…

I'm in the workshop under the Marquis as he rightfully owns it. Doing all my training and duties as a Butler I immediately went to this very workshop to create that cream.

I will give it to Penelope so she could have a charm raised by a few folds. I immediately went to work with Luna and Markus's help.

{The Zulu Ivy should be boiled, I believe it's to melt the micro stingers in the leaf.}

I have a few vines of the Zulu Ivy inside 5 paper bags. I took one paper bag full of Zulu Ivy and dumped it on the cauldron filled with water. I started the fire under the cauldron and waited as the water inside it boiled.

{If Ivy's tip of the leaf starts getting blue then it's ready.}

After waiting for a few minutes I used tongs to get the Ivy out of the cauldron.

[Since you melted away the micro stingers as Luna said it might be safe, but be cautious, we don't have blenders in this world so cut it to pieces and use a squeezer to get the juices out]

The squeezer, the best analogy for it is the lemon squeezer but this squeezer is specialized for large ingredients with liquid in them.

As I put on gloves I placed the Zulu Ivy in the squeezer and had its liquid squeezed out giving me a Zulu extract. It's probably some water and poison.

There is a way to isolate the poison though.

The Swamp flies wings. It acts like a poison magnet, it can attract a few types of poison-related to any swamp biome. Though it will be suspicious if you bought this because it attracts swamp poison, that's its only use, it could be used as a poison detector but swamp poisons aren't generally refined because it's so hard to harvest them aside from a few which can be detected by other means.

Anyways, I dropped 12 wings in a mortar and started grinding them till they were powder. As I looked at the Zulu extract in a container, like a beaker. I poured the powder inside and immediately saw the effect.

The white powder that is Swamp fly wings started becoming blue amidst the greenish extract of the Ivy.

With a strainer, I poured the container and took only the swamp fly powered wings that absorbed the Zulu poison and placed it on a circular plate. Right now it's a Zulu powdered poison.

With this the other part is complete. I took the other three ingredients. Aloe vera, White deer horn, and lastly delu herb.

I skinned the aloe vera and placed them in the boiling cauldron. There are still melted stingers in that cauldron which I'm pretty sure still contained some poison from the Ivy.

Therefore if the two ever mix it will have that slight Zulu poison but not enough potent to do anything, as the stinger only delivers poison not carry them.

I then proceeded to crush the white deer horn which was infused with mana, I patiently crushed it to powder and separated it into two portions.

I poured the portion into the boiling cauldron and the other was saved for another part.

Just like salt which is sodium chloride which is two elements, the same can be called with the white deer horn and Delu herb, the white deer is hallucinogenic whilst Delu herb is a recipe for health potions. If both are combined we get a compound called Mullic Paste.

I took the delu herb and placed it on the mortar, crushing it till it turns to paste. After that, I added the powdered white deer horn.

The horn is colored grey while the delu paste is colorless. So the compound is gray in color.

After having all the ingredients properly mixed in proper proportion I started taking the Poisoned swamp fly powder and started rationing it.

I mixed it into the compound and slowly it started turning blueish grey. Then I dumped the compound into the cauldron.

It started going bluish-white as the aloe vera and the melted stingers from the Zulu Ivy have completely assimilated together.

With that, I started stirring the mixture.

{Keep stirring till it's light blue}

…

5 hours later.

"I… I finally made it"

[Yeah that was long]

{Nice work Sammy!}

A bluish paste with the right texture and viscosity is just on my palm. The proper look we were aiming for!
