8 Clingy Ophelia

Ophelia became more clingy that day, I swear. 

"Sammy, are you done with your work?"

While holding a ball in her light dress. I'm still attending the class from the Head Butler but I guess her class is finished. Or rather she doesn't attend it at all. 

"My lady, have you attended your class?"

Ophelia's gaze slowly wandered away as she cannot look me straight in the eyes, I sighed and thought about this problem. Her tutor made her terrified, so of course, she can't overcome her fear so easily. What to do… 

{Why not join her class?}

[Yeah, you know how to read thanks to the head Butler, why not join her for class?]

'That's a good idea, but would madam agree?"

"Of course!"

She did. In fact, Agreed. 

"Sammy is joining me in my classes?"

Penelope nodded, her worries seemed to have melted away due to my suggestion. It seems like Ophelia's cutting class worried her very much as well. 

"Okay!" Penelope clapped her hands "Both of you prepare for tomorrow, I'll talk to your tutor about your class schedule"

These classes are basic knowledge by the way, from courtesy and etiquette to History and basic arithmetic. 

Well by now it's about us learning the empire's history and all the other noble houses. 

"o-okay!"

Ophelia seems motivated and Penelope seems happy, for her daughter and me. 

[Well I don't know about History but if it's like arithmetic you can ask me questions]

Fast forward to our class, it seems like my schedule was changed, in the morning I would be learning with the head Butler and in the afternoon I would be with Ophelia learning. 

This might be exhausting but don't worry, my time with head Butler is only an hour. Whilst apprentice work would be done all that time. The hours I have with Ophelia and the tutor on the other hand is about 3. 

"Okay, My lady and Samuel. Let's start our class"

I and Ophelia sat down on our chairs, it seems like Ophelia is still scared thanks to her previous encounter so she sits close to me. 

"Okay let's start with basic history"

The tutor then added. 

"When was the Empire built?"

I tilted my head to the question but Ophelia seemingly knew the answer. 

"1st day, 5th month and 506th year of the zoloic calendar and it's also the start of Meozoic calendar of the Azean Empire"

The Azean Empire, the one we're currently in, is the empire where the Otome game starts, and right now we're in the east of the empire where the marquisate resided. 

The marquis on the other hand is on the west border fending off the neighboring country. 

{Now that I think about it it's strange}

'What is?'

{In the game, one of the four dukes resides in the West and also has a good army, so I don't know why the Marquis has the need to go there personally}

Yeah true that, after listening to the lecture of the tutor, I immediately went out, followed closely with Ophelia. 

"uhm… my lady"

She's been following me closely, even though I have nothing to do today about being an apprentice Butler I still have some to do outside. 

"mm… "

She's being shy right now. 

[she's probably anxious, whenever you're not around her she's like that]

[We are connected to one body, what do you expect?]

I was thinking what to do then I got an idea. I then grabbed Ophelia's hand and and took her somewhere

That somewhere being the head Butler's office, I asked to show me the inventory of the marquisate, especially the herbs. 

The head Butler was reluctant at first but when I told him the reason he sighed and actually led me there. 

"Here, just make sure not to grab so much, okay?"

We're led to a shed. Once the head Butler opened the wooden door I was met with a variety of herbs on shelves and with their names on them. 

"What are we doing here Sammy?"

"Oh it's for you my lady"

I let go of her hand and started looking around. The herb I wanted was 'Feal herb'. It's used by medicinal practitioners because it has that numbing property on it. 

But on low dosages it could make patients at ease and relaxed. Why would I give this to my lady? She needs it actually. 

As said earlier she's anxious. I want to relieve that, I only know the herb in name and its effects but I don't know how to process it, but Luna can. 

"This is it"

"what is?"

Ophelia went to me as I grabbed the Feal herb, she tilted her head 

"its for you my lady"

"me? That…?"

She's confused at the moment. 

{You only need 4 leaves Samuel}

Since the herb is from a stalk I just grabbed exactly four leaves, leaving the whole stalk behind and took my lady with me. 

I asked the head Butler for some tools in the guidance of Luna. The head Butler had no choice but to watch over us since it's a kid handling tools. 

Especially for alchemy. Right now they're watching me process the herb. 

{Yeah, just use the mortar and pestle till the leaves are paste, add water if it looks dry}

I just did as instructed till. 

"w-what is that?"

The head Butler asked. A child making a potion on his own is certainly unheard of. 

"I do this all the time when I was in the forest, this is a calming potion"

I lied simply like it's the same with breathing, but I do make some simple potions since I always get hurt, one with Luru grass. 

"Is that so? But why an amnesic potion?"

"oh! I need a circular metal plate, a burner and a liquid dropper"

"More tools?"

Nonetheless, the head Butler was curious so he gave what I asked. At the end of the day I made a proper Item just for Ophelia. 

"Sammy, what's this?"

The thin metal plate is on top of a burner, the burner is run by a fire magic stone and of high quality so it would last for days.

The liquid dropper drops the potion I made once per 8 seconds. And thanks to the amount of liquid dropped in the hot plate, it evaporates and turns to gas. That way, my lady could inhale it and benefit from its effects. 

"So this is what it is for?"

The head Butler asked and in my response I nodded. He just looked at the item I made curiously and nodded. It's like I'm gonna get snitched to Penelope. 

Well at least with this I could finally go out. 

{Hurry Samuel, You need those treasures to be a 2nd class swordsman.}

'I know'

Luna is making me go get some treasures hidden near the Marquisate. The game apparently has hidden treasures, hidden all over the continent. Every land has at least some hidden treasure. 

And what Luna is making me grab is the 『Inheritance of the Sword saint』which is a dagger hidden in the mountain near the Marquisate, you can see that mountain from here. 

By tomorrow I'll take that treasure, for now let's tend to my lady, who is using my lap as a pillow. 

Ophelia has this Pink hair and bluish eyes, pink hair from her mom and Sapphire eyes from her father. 

She's really cute as a villainess.
