344 Laia Qin

Five years later.

"Daddy, I don't wanna wear socks!" Laia sobbed while looking up at her father pitifully. The second socks battle of the day had just begun.

Leo glanced at his precious daughter—who was a mini version of his wife—and picked her up onto his lap. She retracted her soft tiny feet, which he teased and tickled. "That's okay. If you don't…"

He was just about to give in to her when he felt a chilling gaze on him. He tilted his head and saw Shera, who was leaning against the staircase railing, her arms crossed. She was threatening to declare war.

Seeing the little pink socks in his wife's hands, he finally understood what was going on. Laia must have failed to convince her mother and hence rushed to him for help.

Laughing, he tapped the feet of his little princess. "Socks are important to keep your feet warm, and besides, they are very cute and soft. Wear them once, okay?"
